The waiter was very friendly, however, the food was horrible. I got the chili rellenos. They were so greasy. There was pools of oil on my plate from them. I didn’t finish my meal and when I left my mouth felt like it was coated in fat.

Pretty good Mexican food for a chain in Fort Wayne IN. I was actually pleasantly surprised at this place. It’s in the middle of a not so great area. It’s located off a side street. The décor is pretty normal. Lots of Mexican tile & bright colored tables, chairs & Mexican memorabilia. Lighting is fine. Music is standard Mexican tunes., Plenty of flat screen TV’s in the bar area. I ordered a S’Quiela, a grapefruit flavored agave bottle drink. It was good. Not too sweet. Refreshing. I would order it again. Be great on a hot summer day at the beach. Corn Chips were standard. Not freshly made in house. Salsa was pretty standard but a bit garlicky which I loved. I ordered the Enchiladas Sabrosa with one chicken. Chicken enchiladas were a DEFINITENO. Funky taste. Just not good quality meat. It happens all the time at Mexican restaurants. And it’s a huge bummer. Shredded beef enchilada was solidly very good. The spicy red sauce on the enchiladas was solidly good. The charro beans were solidly very good. Rice was perfectly fine. Nothing spectacular. Seemed pretty fresh. Most Mexican restaurants give you dried out unflavored Mexican rice. The wait staff were pleasant enough. Hostess was nice. Waitress acted like she needed to catch a bus & wasn’t really interested in me as a customer. She basically tolerated me. Largely, I suspect bc it was the end of the evening & I was a solo diner. There were several couples that came in after me though. Anyway. This place seems on par with every other pedestrian American Mexican restaurant in the mid west. It was actually a bit better but I didn’t sample anything else so hard to say. It was fine. BUT definitely NOT earth shatteringly amazing. But good for some margaritas, beers, and standard Americanized Mexican food.

You’d be pretty hard pressed to find something that doesn’t taste great at Cebollas. It doesn’t matter which location you go to. They’re all Fantastic! As far as authenticity goes, they get pretty close. I almost always order the chicken chimichanga. Hands down, best chimichanga in the city! Not a huge fan of their ground beef dishes.

I think I like Cebolla’s mainly because it reminds me of Mexican restaurants of yore. Or, at least, my childhood. It’s not some overly decorated chain Mexican restaurant, but the food is reliably good and it’s not expensive. I think every time I’ve been here I’ve had the Grande Nachos. They’re great — basic and great. They have good salsa and the jalepeno slices, while they totally come out of a giant jar, are spicy and delicious.

I eat A LOT of Mexican all over the US. I came here simply because of the stars and reviews. The service was nice. And the place is very nice and clean. My boyfriend and I sat at the bar. The food is just OKAY. We ordered the steak chicken and shrimp fajitas. I was satisfied and full but the food was bland. Needed more seasoning. The queso was kind of thick and clumpy but was just okay. The long islands were on special for $ 4 but they tasted like juice. Nothing was that bad. But I don’t think id come back here again.

Cebollas speaks to my heart. Endless amounts of chips and salsa… seriously though. It never stops. I have been a fan of Cebollas my whole life from what I can remember. I first started going here with my family and now enjoy it with my girlfriends and a pitcher of margaritas. The décor is pleasing to the eye– big booths with elaborate designs and the tiles around the place scream«I am in Mexico» or at least wish I was. My go-to dishes on the menu are: start out with queso!!! Oh sweet queso god, cebollas’ is on point. I love the Mixteca salad with steak. It can be a little overboard on the dressing so ask for it on the side. It is a delicious mix of pico, black beans, and avocado. Steak comes plenty on this dish as well. If I am looking to share I go with the steak fajitas. Very easy to share with two people– just ask for extra tortillas! I am also a huge fan of the chimichanga de la casa… with you guessed it, steak. Drinks wise I stick to the margaritas. Usually lime on the rocks with a submarino. Go big or go home. The added corona makes this margarita over the top refreshing. Service is speedy. Some servers are more friendly than others. But mostly you will receive your drinks, chips replenished, and food without the server saying a word. Unless you have Delmy. She served a few friend and I in the bar last night and was awesome! Super friendly and had a great personality. For the price and portion sizes you can’t beat Cebollas.

I’ve visited a few of the locations and wasn’t satisfied with the experience at either. First time, soggy tostada at Fernhill Location. Waitress explained: «thats just how they come». Thanks. Second time, little scraps of steak passed off as steak fajitas West Jefferson location. Third, NEVERGOINGTOHAPPEN! Especially considering the the large incident of food poisoning(100+ people) at the West Jefferson location a few years ago. Don’t take my word for it:

One of my favorite places to dine. One visit had great food but bad service. another visit had bad food and ok service another visit my tacos didn’t have cheese and the service was just ok but had to ask for everything like chips and refills. Another visit had to wait 20 min just for chips and service but after that the server got it right. Let’s just say the service isn’t good but the food keeps me going back. If they change their food I wouldn’t go back. Oh by the way.. love the chips and salsa.

I have never had a bad experience. Fast friendly staff, great food, clean building. The prices are extremely reasonable for the amount you get, and they always have good drink specials. I visit at least once a month. No other Mexican joints in town can hold a candle.

Cebollas Mexican Grill is a delight to the senses. The decorations are bright and cheery. With a party of 9 we were quickly seated and our waitress was very attentive always nearby yet never the annoying fly. Most of the party was impressed with their meal, portions are huge, and the food was served hot. The two that ordered chicken were not impressed since the chicken was tough and dry.

Great atmosphere. Mediocre service. The food isn’t what it used to be. There are way too many other better Mexican restaurants in town now. Cebollas is now a very distant 3rd in my book for their food. I would still recommend this place though.

Attentative service & warm chips followed by really good food. We had the Pollo A La Palapa which is a chicken breast with grilled veggies covered with their queso dip & split steak fajitas. Cheap yummy Mexican food

After my first review 3 years ago, I have been here more times than I can count. Cebollas has definitely grown on me! Still have some of the best chips and salsa in town. Always a good place for big groups, and can’t argue with the margaritas. I usually get enchiladas or the mixteca salad if I’m trying something lighter.

Quite possibly the most generic«Mexican» food I’ve ever had. I got the taco salad, the beef was so flavorless, I doused the whole thing in salsa and hot sauce. At that point it was still bland, and now completely cold. I didn’t even bother finishing it. My sister got the chicken chimichanga and was equally displeased. Our friend got the #2 lunch special and was also extremely underwhelmed. The only redeeming qualities to this place: the service was good and everyone working was polite. The bathrooms were clean. The beer was ice cold. The chips were fresh, and the queso was very good, but could’ve been warmer. Seemed to get too cold, too quickly. If I had to go back, I’d leave drunk and hungry. Taco Bell is more authentic.

Based solely on my last visit, I give 5 stars. It was a great visit. Good sized portions, enjoyable environment plus quality food equals a happy day! However, I’ve been disappointed here previously… I just hope they don’t backtrack, because there are so few good Mexican restaurants in FW. Staff was very friendly, chips were warm, and salsa was pleasant, with just enough kick for me, but not too much for ‘those who like it mild.’ Margarita’s were good. Fajitas and enchiladas were both plated nicely and served hot. Enchiladas had the right balance of ingredients, and rice and guacamole all were fine. The Pico de gallo was also good, with the correct sneaky amount of spiciness. The bathroom was in very bad condition… but hey, it’s a mexican restaurant… it kind of fits.
