History
Established in 1979.
In the summer of 1978 five women met at a modern dance workshop which ignited a passion for creative expression. Born out of this was a non profit modern dance organization. The Fort Wayne Dance Collective was created.
Today, the Fort Wayne Dance Collective continues as a thriving and innovative dance non-profit in the heart of downtown Fort Wayne. The organization supports 3 full-time and 1 part-time staff, 30 sub-contracted instructors, over 50 volunteers and in 2015 the Fort Wayne Dance Collective served over 35,000 people throughout Northeast Indiana.
