Bass hall offers a nice variety of symphonic concerts, ballets, and other artistic events. The building is gorgeous; it’s fun to wander around and explore. Drinks are pricy as expected for this type of venue. You can pre-order drinks for intermission before the show to avoid waiting in long lines. There are also cups available for purchase that can go into the theater. Be carful though; sometimes these are not allowed for various reasons. The staff are usually well informed and helpful in these situations. Parking is easy with a garage right off Calhoun street, which is free on the weekends. Bass hall’s location is great for a night out in downtown Fort Worth. It’s proximity to restaurants is perfect to grab a bite/drinks before or after a show.

I’ve always enjoyed Bass Hall. Some performances I’ve attended include the symphony, Miss Saigon, Dionne Warwick, The Nutcracker, Fiddler on the Roof, The King and I, and A Night of Queen. Always a great time. My only concern is that sometimes the seats can have obstructed views and the bathrooms are located too far down. The architecture is gorgeous! Parking is easy too. My favorite seats are Box Tier and floor. Worth taking in a show or concert.

I’ve performed and attended events here for decades, and I love everything about Bass Hall– the architecture, acoustics, free parking, and an amazing location. FWOpera, the symphony, and the frequent Broadway shows are all of the highest caliber. Why does anyone even go to the cinema or pop concerts in this city?

Lovely building but who designed this place? The main floor bathrooms are downstairs deep in the basement. Your choices are a horrific long stair case or one really packed elevator. Beautiful place but be careful. I would love to know how many people have fallen.

I’ve been here twice now for The Nutcracker and it was absolutely gorgeous! Good sound and good views wherever you sit. Love coming to Bass Hall!

Took a date to see the Nutcracker. Ascetically is the building is beautiful inside and out. The architecture and structure are classic. The performance was on point and the hosts were courteous. I have nothing but admiration for The Bass Performance Hall and encourage anyone who enjoys musicals or performances to visit.

I have had many great experiences at bass hall, from symphonies, opera, to avenue q & the late great George Carlin. So I was so happy to take my daughter to bass hall for the first time. Though I let someone else pick our seats because we went with a group … And based on SEATINGISSUES today My heart is broken because she never wants to go back. Bass hall; you got upstaged by other theaters. My daughter and I had a wonderful view … of a pilar. A stinking Pilar. My daughter had a hard time seeing because she adjusted her seat so the girl beside her could see & she couldn’t see half of the performance. A kind gentleman allowed her to sit in his seat for part of the performance; which during that time I got to see the magic light up in her eyes of what she had been missing … but She doesn’t ever want to go back. I actually only saw maybe 5 full mins before I gave up on seeing anything but the back/side stage stuff. My heart is broken … If you have the choice of only the mezzanine area’s on the side do not take the tickets. You will be able to see more on ground level if your 5’3″ with a 6’3″ person in front of you because you would at least be able to tilt your head.

The mezzanine seating is far worse than any coach class in any airplane. I was very uncomfortable, my companion was in pain. And overheated from bodies jammed together in narrow seats. Just awful. Don’t sit there if you’re over 5’2 or 150 lb. terrible terrible. Ruined our enjoyment of a great show. The ushers are wonderful. Bathrooms too small to handle the crowd. Parking excellent. Building lovely to the eyes. Very disappointed.

Amazing. First time to visit this venue for a musical and it was really nice. All the ushers were helpful and kind. The venue was very clean and even the bathroom line went fast! Went to see The Book Of Mormon and the seats were great, the price for he seats were reasonable. I didn’t buy anything so I cannot speak on pricing for anything else but parking was bad and just an overall great experience.

Once you take a look at this place on the outside, you’ve got to go in for a show! The Bass Performance Hall is absolutely stunning inside. I’ve been coming here for years. I have annual shows that I come to and I love checking out new and upcoming touring shows. It definitely is a sophisticated venue so please don’t show up with torn clothes and flip flops. It’s good to dress up once in a while. But business casual will work as well.

Beautiful, easily accessible location to watch a show! Located in an ideal location in Sundance Square(free parking in the close-by garage in the evenings and weekend, plus plenty of places for dinner and drinks pre– or post-show). The staff is friendly and you can buy a lidded cup with a small additional fee to enjoy your adult(and non-adult) drink inside the theater. Don’t be fooled by the long lines in the lobby — go downstairs to find another bar by the restrooms. The restrooms are large enough to accommodate the crowds and are cleverly decorated with lines of sheet music across the doors — when you get to the middle(the bathroom has two entrances), check out the D.S. al fine, which my musician friends will know means to return to the beginning in order to not cut the line on the other side. Rhe acoustics were great when I went to go see a musical — it’s also a small enough theater that most seats should provide a satisfactory view. Definitely worth it to see a show here.

This place is gorgeous. Parking is easy. There’s a few bars and lounge areas to grab a drink before the show or during intermission. We usually end up here for a Tuna show or The Nutcracker. I’ve never sat in a bad seat. The sound is perfect. Go!

It’s a beautiful building/venue for a show and/or performance. There is an outdoor balcony area that although is small and narrow — it’s nice that there’s that option. I don’t know of very many performance halls that have a balcony. The bar service is really quick, and you can even bring your drink in the theater, in a to-go cup that they offer. It’s awesome.

I consider myself the biggest cheerleader of Fort Worth and the Bass Hall is one of my favorite places to recommend. It’s always on my list of top must see places that I tell out of towners and those that are showing people around town. I grew up loving the Bass Hall, constantly attending performances since I can remember and still watching The Nutcracker annually. The performances are beautifully done and I’ve never left without a sense of amazement. The architecture and design is phenomenal. See it during the day but if you can see a bit later show in the afternoon and can leave when the sun goes down I highly recommend that so you can see the angels outside lit up in all their glory. The angels have golden horns that you can’t miss. Make sure that when you’re watching a performance to look directly up to the ceiling where you see a beautiful art. The staff is very polite and the bartenders make a mean drink. I love everything about the Bass Hall and yes ladies you can have your wedding here!

This place is such an amazing venue and I have yet to witness any terrible performances here. The farthest away I’ve seated from the stage has been in the Mezzanine and you still get a great view of the stage. The acoustics are well done, so the sound has been great! If you are going to watch any performance in Fort Worth, this is venue to go to. There is plenty to do in the area and lots of free parking. I recommend parking at the garage on Taylor and 3rd, grabbing sushi at Piranha before a later show(7pm/8pm) and taking a nice walk through Sundance Square to the Bass to get the full downtown Fort Worth effect. I grew up in Fort Worth, and the downtown area has changed so much(for the better!!) in recent years. The attendants who take your tickets are really sweet and all make sure to tell you how to get to the balcony so you can have full view of the angels that adorn the architecture of the Bass Performance Hall. It’s a neat thing to do, especially if you have kids, at least on one of your visits.

I adore this venue! I have gone to some wonderful concerts at Bass Hall in years past. One year I even saw Eric Benet and Boyz II Men! Now that was a soulful groovy performance. Talk about classy! What I love the most is the quality of sound. It’s also a very beautiful theater. Great for a date night. Also so many restaurants in the area to catch a bite to eat before or after. It’s totally worth it to make the special trip to downtown Fort Worth. Dress the part and enjoy your night!

My first magical experience was here for the Nut Cracker almost 7 years ago! I sat in the middle of the orchestra section and there was an actual orchestra playing the music. I don’t want to ruin anything, so I’ll just say It was magical :). Due to the whole recession going on, they didn’t have live music anymore. But I heard this year, they were bringing the orchestra back. I’ve seen other ballets there and have never been disappointed, even from sitting in the nice seats to the cheap box seats.

Symphony experience was lovely, but I do suggest not getting tickets for seating in the mezzanine. We were crammed in sideways, so it was awfully uncomfortable. Even with that, the performance was enjoyable. The 15 minute intermission is just long enough to stop by the bar for a cocktail and the prepay option is nice. You can buy drinks before the show and they’ll set them on a ticket with your name written on it, so it’s waiting on the bar at intermission. No waiting in line! Parking is a breeze as well since there are multiple garages nearby and valet. The website is a bit vague on suggested attire. Definitely dress up! I wore a cocktail dress and handsome hubby was in suit and tie.

An incredibly beautiful, relatively new performance hall that’s a crown jewel in downtown Fort Worth. The exterior alone is breathtaking, as a pair of horn-playing angels tower over the street below. Inside, the lobbies are sparkling and filled with natural light, while the performance hall itself is very spacious, not to mention almost acoustically perfect. From a viewing or listening perspective, there’s not a bad seat in the house. Definitely a treasure to behold for for anyone in the Metroplex, and it’s well worth a visit to support the cultural offerings here, as well as the hall itself.
