I am Indian and I love Indian food and HATED this place. All I’m gonna say is that the chicken biryani they gave me was rice and chicken preheated with chill powder mixed in it. I could literally taste powder. Couldn’t finish the whole thing, my stomach hurts. And I love spicy food. Also they charge for every single thing. Worst Indian place I’ve EVER been to

When we moved to Texas five years ago, we left behind my favorite Indian restaurant. I went on a mad scramble to find Indian food in my new city and I never did find anything I loved. I remember trying Bombay Grill five years ago and not being impressed. I went in today for lunch and something has changed. Maybe my tastes have changed or maybe Bombay Grill got a lot better(maybe some combination of the two), but lunch was delicious today. The naan was perfect. The chicken tikka was so yummy. The service was great — my water glass was never empty. I definitely recommend having a lunch buffet weekday date. I’ll be back!

The lunch buffet is spot on. You can even get it to-go! I love this place.

We’ve been to Bombay several times now and the food is always good. The problem is the service, they don’t take the dirty dishes off of your table and they don’t refill your drinks unless you ask. I’m hoping they improve on their service because bad service is a reason not to come back.

Love, love this place! Friendly staff, great value and great tasting food. The staff are super cool, the owner Paul has become a good friend. He’s even personally catered our wedding. Come and explore Indian cuisine on your lunch break. I promise you’ll bring the family back for dinner :-)

I really do love Indian food. So when I saw a place that offered a buffet for lunch in the 8 dollar range, I had to stop. The food was pretty good and has a pretty good variety. The Naan bread treated good though a little flat for my preference. Veggie options were delicious. Chicken and beef options also great. A nice dessert included… huge plus. Décor.lacking. Very bland and honestly a bit dark, not in a romantic way. And though it’s a buffet and I don’t expect great service, I typically like a little friendlier staff. I am pretty sure the man is the owner, cook, and teller. And the lady is nice also, but no one generally even says hello putt tanks for your business. When I paid, i walked to the counter. The man is wroting sone stuff. I stand there for about 20 seconds, he looks up, holds out his hand. I hand him a 10. He hands me back a $ 1 bill. I hand that and another dollar and say heres a couple bucks as a tip, thanks for a good meal. The man just turned and threw it on the counter behind him, then continued as if nothing happened. Went back to writing down stuff. That’s just an example of what I mean about the service. But the food it’s still pretty good.

They refused to serve starters without ordering the main course. And the restaurant was not even busy.

We ordered three separate dishes from the vegetarian page, the first page of the menu. I must say that all three dishes were exquisite. A side of garlic naan and some Chardonnay, and it was really good. Beyond words. The owner/chef will check on you as well as the the server who was on point. Going back soon.

Good food, not spectacular but still worth repeating when in mood for Indian food. Could use a bigger selection on the buffet. Might’ve considered this better if hadn’t eaten at an outstanding one just a few days ago. Staff are ok.

This was our first time to dine here. It came highly recommended by a friend. Food was ok. Naan was burnt around edge and it was supposed to have cilantro on it as listed on the menu, but didn’t. Service was poor. The waitress never came back to ask how the food was, whether we needed anything or to refill our water and tea. So when it came time for the bill, I asked for tea to go and it came in a bowl that holds food — low and shallow. They used a fork or something to make a hole for the straw. Odd. Neither the man who brought our bill nor the waitress made good eye contact — important in welcoming and thanking customers who patronize your business. I doubt we will return. However, I am tempted to try the buffet — in due time.

I went to this restaurant tonight 12/19/2015 with my parents and we walked out humiliated, angry, and with metallic taste in our mouths. We initially ordered Chicken Tikka Masala and Shrimp Biryani. The Shrimp Biryani was mushy and wet. We have always had a dry biryani from all other indian restaurants, so we weren’t prepared to eat a squishy dish like that. Without even taking a bite, we asked to return the dish and ordered something else instead. My father said, «this is not a biryani,» and proceeded to order sheikh Kabob from the menu(to be clear, we also ordered extra naans and carrot Halwa to make the price difference for returning the their«biryani»). When the waitress took the biryani back to the kitchen, the Owner/chef came out and charged at us. He yelled at us and said, «what do you mean this is not a biryani?“He just went on and on for a good 40 seconds yelling at us and convincing us that this is a biryani. It was embarrassing. He had no etiquette, and there was another customer sitting listening to us getting humiliated. It ruined out dinner and we sat there mortified. We left the restaurant as soon as we could. I didn’t even want to take the left overs, but my parents convinced me to take it, so it wouldn’t be trashed. As if that wasn’t enough, the food was tasteless. I have been to plenty of restaurants in DFW and this was by far one of the worst. I would highly recommend going to Al Markaz in Carrollton or Tandoor in Arlington. The staff treats you with utmost respect, and if you don’t enjoy a dish, they are be happy to make you something else. I will never come back here and I will make sure none of my friends visit here either.

Do not make the mistake of going here! The worst possible service — the server was the most rude individual we have met. We walked out without even ordering, so terrible was his behavior.

This was one of the better Indian lunch buffets I’ve been to! With tip, it came out to $ 10/person. Most of the tables are 2 or 4 people person tables, but my group of 7 luckily snagged the big table. Either way, it didn’t matter where we sat because my head was turned downward the whole time shoveling food into my mouth. They change their buffet daily, but my top three choices are: (1) Chana masala — yummy chickpeas in a spicy salty sauce that pairs nicely with the naan. (2) Vegetable pakora — fried vegetables that taste like French fries. (3) Chicken tikka masala — one of the less dry chicken options they had at the Buffett. Flavor was pretty good as well. Although it definitely doesn’t compare to homemade Indian food(shoutout to my Indian best friends mom!), it’s a good amount of Indian food for the price. Only qualm I had was that it was dark inside… not the«nice ambiance» dark, but the«I wonder what I’m eating on my plate dark.»

The lunch buffet is poor quality and needs improvement. I’ve been here a couple times now and every time the food taste bad and look like it’s been sitting there forever, even though you come right around 12 when they open. This last Saturday every single item tasted and looked very unappetizing. The items of the buffet are a copy of Tandoor Indian in Arlington but that restaurant does a much better job. Pay more attention to your buffet guys, it’s bad! Also, it’s way too dark inside, you don’t see what you’re eating.

We went with so much eagerness to this restaurant 11÷1÷15 and bought lamb Barra kebab, amritsari fish, chicken tikka and chicken noorjani. It was horrible overall. The chef threw chili powder into noorjani and it was like atomic wings!!! Yet no flavor. Barra lamb kebab was the worst lamb I have ever had in my life time. Rock hard so chewy without any flavor. Chicken tikka was soft but no flavor and hence nothing great to talk about!!! Fish amritsari was the only starter which was reasonable. We are new to Fort Worth so decided to try this new place based on some of the reviews. Sadly disappointed and I indeed wasted my 58 $ in this restaurant. This will be my first and last to this restaurant and not just that I will make sure none of my friends visit this place unless they improve their flavor and quality of food. Horrible food!!!

Order: Garlic naan, Chicken Tikka Masala(CTM) — Spicy, which comes with rice Among other things, the following are the most noteworthy: Minus ½ star serving overflowing /dripping plates. Minus ½ star for getting the naan order wrong, and thus having to wait for new naan resulting in the CTM(chicken tikka masala) getting cold. Also, if you love butter(ghee), you’re in for a treat. Otherwise, tell them to go easy. Minus two stars for undercooked rice. This was probably the most shocking and displeasing part of the experience! Two things every Indian cook should master before attempting anything else is BREAD and RICE. Each bite of crunchy rice I took resulted in a half star being deducted. I gave up after that. The CTM was good, but doesn’t make up for the other lacking areas. I would not recommend.

I haven’t dined in– like ever. I always use entrees on trays and get this delivered! I love entrees on trays :) But that’s another review. This isn’t the best Indian food I’ve had– usually if I get a craving I’m going to head to Tandoor in Arlington or somewhere in Irving. The portions here are not very large and the naan is always chewy. I do love the aloo gobi and it always has good heat. The hubby loves the paneer makhan. The creamy sauce it sits in is delicious and I love spooning that over my rice. I usually get a order of veggie samosas as well. Perhaps I should be dining in for lunch so I can eat the buffet? Or dining in at all. 2 entrees and one app costs us 40 $ not including tip for the driver. It’s a bit pricey to satisfy my craving.

Fort Worth does not have many options for Indian food. This was one(1) of three(3) that resulted from my search. So our craving for Indian food led us here. We know the area well so we found it easily. But if you’re driving and not familiar with the area, you could easily miss it. Some would expect it to be on the corner of Hulen and Donnelly, BUT you have to turn onto Donnelly and the restaurant is on a strip that faces Hulen. We walked in and we’re the only customers so it didn’t start off as a good sign. The air was filled with the smell of incense too. I don’t mind incense but there’s a point where it is too much. Anyways, when you walk in you take about one step before being stopped by this huge hostess station. It literally blocks everything and no one was there to greet us. So the workers there were unaware we were there, as they could not see us. We decided to just take a seat, at which then the owner(or who I believe to be the owner) greets us with menus. He was VERYKIND and GREATTOHISEMPLOYEES. He was the only one on the floor. When he was checking us out(which you go to another counter for, they don’t do it at your table.), he apologized for the wait and mentioned that one of his employee’s aunt was in the hospital and he told her not to come in. There wasn’t a wait actually so there was no need for him to apologize. We ordered their Tandoori Chicken dish and their Nanjoori Chicken Curry dish to share between two(2) of us. There was a small appetizer brought out, but I was disappointed to see that NAANDOESNOTCOMEWITHDISHES. You have to order it separately($ 3). Up until this point, I had no idea that there were places that did not assume it to be apart of main dishes. But both dishes were QUITEGOOD. The Tandoori Chicken came on a skillet wrapped in foil(interesting) with onions. If the foil had been gone, and the food was places straight on the iron skillet below, I believe all of the onions would have grilled nicely. Only some were grilled, others left raw.(I’m just not a fan of raw white onions). The curry came out in a small dish that proved to be quite dense. It was mainly sauce with a few chicken pieces. There was a few pieces of some veggie but I don’t recall what kind it was. We, of course, had both dishes with rice. Frankly, I had not liked the curry at first. But after a few bites, it grew on me. Three(3) more parties had showed up before we finished our meal. The restaurant was not busy, there was decent amount of space(although the tables were closer to each other than I liked), good customer service, & prompt delivery of food = I WILLRETURN!

Bombay grill may not be authentic enough for most of my Indian friends, but I find it pretty delicious! Cheap option for lunch buffet with your Americanized classic selections, and their prices for the dinner items are reasonable as well! My favs are the chicken tikka masala and samosas. Although I always bring my food to go, the owner and staff are always very friendly. Yes it’s true Fort Worth needs more Indian restaurants but meanwhile, i am pretty content with Bombay grill!

I’m not too big on Indian food but also lack of knowledge on Indian food. My sister loves this place and always drags me with her. The service here could be better. I would usually order chicken tikka masala because that’s one of the only things I’ve tried and actually like, but my sister ordered that. I was scared to try any vindaloo because my first time here I ordered beef vindaloo and my mouth was on fire! I couldn’t even take another bite. This time I ordered tandoori prawns. When the dish came out it was sizzling hot like how fajitas would sizzle. I had no idea the dish was like that. I was amazed by the presentation. The prawns on the other hand lacked of any spices.
