Food is always great, they just need to speed their service time a bit. Mexican food is legit.

Great food. Great atmosphere. It made me feel like I was in Mexico. The service is a little slow but overall my wife and I had a great experience.

So we stopped here for convenience and surprise! The food is pretty good! I ordered tacos de bistek and my hubby ordered torta de barbacoa and we both liked and enjoyed our meal. The place is clean, has plenty of seating capacity and is colorful. Mexican music playing in the background(I think mainly Bronco). They honestly could benefit of changing or adding their waitress staff, they seemed uninterested in their work and took too much time we had to get up and bring them to our table to get the check. But food is good.

First time customer, high expectations for authentic Mex food, we were not disappointed. Fresh corn tortillas that actually tasted like corn, red salsa almost too spicy; fresh green salsa to balance the flavors. So good. Don’t use the drive thru unless you speak Spanish; go inside and point to what you want. Fresh sweet Mexican soda too; tasted like a kick of banana. Two of us spent $ 15 and couldn’t finish everything. Don’t let the bars on the windows deter you; it just adds to the authentic atmosphere– heh.

Decided to try this place out after reading a little article in the paper and its close by my work. My lunch mate and I ordered 2 barbacoa burritos, a shrimp tostada to share, and I also got a taco al pastor for $ 16.39(plus tax). The food was pretty good, fresh and very authentic. The burrito for 4.99 was huge, the tostada, also 4.99, was loaded with shrimp and fairly large, and tasted great, the taco was above average and loaded with meat. One issue, my lunch mate found a 2.5 inch stem of some plant(probably a spice) in her burrito, but that let’s you know it’s fresh and handmade, and wasn’t a huge issue. The food came with a nice selection of sauces that were good, including a nice mexican creame, and homemade, but a little bland and lacking in the heat you usually find. Sometimes you get free chips and sauce, but at this place it is only for dine-in, and I was not, so I passed on the 3.25 extra. Over all well done. Is it better than my favorite place nearby that I will not mention? No, but it is a good value and nice taste, so I will add them to my lunch rotation.

You can see this place from the highway. One night, we decided to give it a go. We tried to use the drive thru. Epic fail. We didn’t know the spanish word for 25, which is the shrimp ceviche tostada. So we just drove up to the window and after a bit, we got it! And it was AMAZING! The shrimp was so fresh and the pico de gallo packed some heat! So the next week, we decided to go again but this time, eat in. This place is the real deal. No frills. Just good cheap food. First — the chips and salsa. This salsa was straight up freshly made — do you know how I know? There were still charred bits in the salsa from when they grilled the peppers and tomatoes. The salsa was SPICY too! I ordered the shrimp tostada again and a small fish ceviche cocktail. The perfect light meal. My husband ordered their bistec torta and a shredded beef taco. Both were amazing. We got out of there spending less than $ 20 and that includes tip! I am a fan of spots like these, old and run down but the food makes up for it. The TV was blaring soccer in Spanish. It also looks like they have karaōke there on some nights. We will definitely be back for more!
