I stayed here 5 years ago it wasn’t a week old yet, I stayed here the night after the worst hotel ever and this place was by far the best hotel I have ever stayed in, it was the 2^nd hotel I ever stayed in and I really miss it! They remodeled the pool for some reason though it used to have a much more elegant look.

I don’t normally stay with this chain but I decided to give it a try based on reviews and price. Clean, fresh, comfortable. Extremely large, spacious room. Room is kind of Best Western meets Hampton Inn. Everything felt new. Did not use pool facilities but indoor pool/spa are available on site. Hot breakfast was good but understaffed. When my family arrived there was a well-stocked breakfast bar with the standard cold fare, Texas-shaped belgian waffle maker, and biscuits and gravy, sausage, and two kinds of eggs. 5 minutes later ALL of the hot food was gone and no one was around working to restock anything– lots of hungry families left to wait in what became a long line for the waffle maker. Nescafe coffee was pretty bad, but there’s a Starbucks right across the street. Despite any hiccups with breakfast, the price was more than right, the facilities were way better than I would have expected for the rate, and I’m extremely pleased with my decision to stay at this location.

Not too shabby. Its new, so it’s nice, of course. The front desk was extremely friendly and helpful.
They offer free WiFi, hot breakfast, have an indoor pool and spa that stays open until midnight, larger mini fridges and micros, stainless steel coffee pot (which I love) and they are conveniently located to lots of stuff.
In the same parking lot is a Mexican café, Wholly smokes. (read review for that, yummy) across is Whataburger, Popeye’s, 24 Fitness, McDonald’s, Braums, Wendy’s, a couple Sushi places… about a mile Western Center is Alberstons. A few minutes North 35 is HUGE shopping center with an exorbitant amount of stores and Cabelas is just beyond that!
Breakfast is the normal run of the mill frozen sausage, prefab biscuits, waffle (in the shape of Texas, hehe) yogurt, toast, danish. nothing really appetizing if you don’t typically eat out of the frozen section at your local grocery store, which I don’t. But it was food… if you need it.
They do seem to have staff issues. maids not showing up when they should, the lady who does breakfast didn’t show up either.
Their coffee is quite disgusting, sorry… but it is. I’ll bring my own next time!
Rooms are clean (to the eye) all freshly wrapped disposable cups etc. Bathrooms a little on the small side, but was nothing horrible.
WiFi was really slow… ended up having to use my own hotspot to send some work emails. it was 10 times faster.
Overall, not too bad. I’d probably stay again if nothing else was close. But if I have to go back to that area, I will look around a bit more. just to see if something better isn’t there.

Clean place to stay for a night. Lamp in room was unplugged, when replugged still doesn’t work. Elevator maddeningly slow. Front desk not only knew nothing of the I-35 closures I had been warned about by electronic signs for 60 miles (the closures started yards away from the hotel) — also gave me no «insert» besides keys that told me the wifi info. When I called down for the wifi info, she rudely told me it was included and gave me incorrect info so basically, no free wifi. A/C off when arrived.
No room service. Was told I had a city view but actually have view of a roof and parking lot. Would give worse than 2 but it IS clean and the beds/toiletries are comfortable.

We enjoyed our visit here. It was clean, quiet, and close to the freeway without being affected by traffic noise. We stayed in a double bed room, and there could have been more seating near the window where the desk is located. Our stay would have been so much more comfortable had there been a loveseat or another chair for those times more than 1 person in the family was reading a book or surfing the web. We did not have any issue with the wi-fi connection speed. Breakfast was delicious and, of course, the huge TX shaped waffles were a hit with the kids. I would recommend this location.

This was a nice hotel. It was new and clean and have free food and adult beverages on Wednesday evening. It was also conveniently located near restaurants and other shops. Not quite five stars, but a solid four.

The one thing I will always appreciate the most in a hotel is cleanliness.
After having a nightmare of an experience with bed bugs at a hotel in San Antonio, the first thing I did was set my luggage down on the desk and rip the sheets off the bed. I breathed a sigh of comfort when I saw that the mattress was wrapped in plastic. I knew then that my stay at Comfort Inn would be a good one.
Pros:
1. Obviously cleanliness. The cleaning staff here are very good and what they do.
2. They do have a green initiative. Simply put a card on the bed if you want them to leave your sheets off the bed so they don’t have to waste water, detergent and energy to wash them every night. Same thing with towels. «A towel on the rack means leave it. A towel on the floor means wash it.»
3. Free toiletries are a must and Comfort Inn goes above and beyond. The one thing I forgot was make-up remover. I love how they stock make-up removing towels and I didn’t even have to ask for them. They were just automatically restocked every time I used one in my room.
4. Free breakfast until 9:30 AM on weekdays.
5. Courteous and helpful staff. One morning I came in late for breakfast. One of the ladies in the kitchen noticed and grabbed me a breakfast burrito. Very nice of her!
Cons:
1. Location! I was there on business. This hotel was right next to the apartment complex I was training at. But seriously, what else goes on in this area?
2. Comfort is part of your name! So why aren’t your beds comfortable? Too firm for my taste.
