I went to Elite because my daughter in law had gotten work done there & had a good experience. When we arrived I explained what I was looking for a very simple 4 word phrase in my grandmothers handwriting w/a small bleeding heart flower.(about 7 – 10 minutes worth of work) they copied the phrase & looked @ the pics of the flower I brought because he wasn’t familiar w/the flower. He was very nice(I was never given a name) we chatted & he did the work in 7 – 10 minutes. I had it placed on the inside of my forearm & while the stencil was put on straight he didn’t take into account that when my arm was lying naturally it changed the placement of the wording. I’m not an artist & this didn’t even come to mind when I was getting it. Now unless my arm is lying flat on a surface it looks off. I guess I was supposed to have put the forethought into that? He was nice enough kinda in a hurry although there was only 1 other customer in the shop & she was getting work by someone else. When he finished he taped me off & that was it, no aftercare Instructions nothing. Thankfully I’ve had work before & am familiar w/the care. Now this is where I’m probably the most disappointed; I was charged $ 100(plus I tipped) for 4 words & a heart. $ 100! Seemed incredibly steep for what I got. All in all while the guy was nice enough I won’t be going back. They didn’t seem all that interested in my business & over charged me because it was assumed I was naïve. Sadly I was hoping to find a shop that felt like«home» for future work & I guess Elite won’t be it.

A couple of weeks ago, Eric did a half-sleeve on me that included a keyhole. The line work is some of the shoddiest I have seen. I called the shop to ask about getting it fixed. The shop owner was incredibly rude and didn’t apologize that I was not satisfied. When I asked if someone else there could fix it and not charge full price, he said no. He didn’t even ask me to come in so that he could look at it. Anybody know the shop that fixes bad work that Elite does? I’m sure there’s one in the area.

I had an AMAZING tattoo experience Tuesday, July 10, 2012 with Eric Lacefield at Elite Tatoo Gallery in Fort Worth, TX. It was my first time and Eric made the entire process comfortable from the moment I entered the door. I had been researching and considering for ten years and heard many excellent recommendations for Elite. Eric answered all of my questions, spent quality time with me regarding the design and used the latest equipment, which made for a pain-free session. I followed his after-care instructions and my tattoo simply could not look any better. It s been a week of non-stop compliments for me(and Eric!). I am looking forward to returning for my second and recommend Eric to anyone who is interested in ink they can be proud of.

After seeing the good job Elite did on a friend’s tattoo, we decided to try them out. The guys at the shop are all super nice. I had medium sized back piece by Ian and Mikey had a fairly large chest piece by Justin. Both turned out awesome and Justin is very fast, specially with outlining. It is a drive, but we plan to visit Elite again.
