My husband and I went to Jos A Bank to get him a few dress shirts and a couple pairs of slacks along with a pair of shoes. Kay Hale greeted us with a smile and was extremely helpful. Brody Ables also introduced himself and was very informative and helpful. Our experience was very smooth and an easy process. We have been to several Burlington Coat Factory stores and Men’s Wear House. Our experiences there were not pleasant at all. The employees were rude and it seemed like they did not want to help us or take the time to get to know us and understand what we were looking for. We did not have that problem here at Jos. A. Bank. Thank you so much to Kay and Brody. We will definitely be back.

I went here with my uncle to purchase some suits for him, and they have a good selection of suits, albeit at a substantial price. The higher end suits look very sharp, the shirts are good quality, the ties are ties, etc. If you buy clothes here, you will get good quality. However, I want to focus on the customer service side… We were told that the suits would be arriving in a week(they didn’t have the particular suits in the particular colors and sizes that my uncle wanted, so they had to be ordered in the store online). After a week, we still hadn’t heard anything, so we called, and were told that the suits weren’t in, so we called the next day, and were told the suits weren’t in, then we called the next day and were told the suits had arrived two days prior, but they were busy and didn’t remember to call us. This irked me quite a bit, as the value of the suit lies essentially in its use, and it being available but unusable makes the suit worthless at that particular time. I complained, the girl at corporate was unable to help, and I got the number to the manager of that store, called her, and she was not especially helpful either, and got the number to the regional manager. The regional manager was a Mr. Terry Hillgartner, and after a chat, wherein I explained my exasperation, frustration, annoyance at a 4% discount offered, then a 10% discount offered(for three uses that were never able to be used because we didn’t have the suits), he generously gave my uncle a 30% of total purchase in-store credit, which amounted to three free shirts, three free ties, and a refund of the alterations to the suits. Usually, I’m not a fan of businesses«making things right», because the goal should be to make it right in the first place, and once a business angers me so, I refuse, on principle, to patronize them again. Mr. Hillgartner’s generous offer made me reconsider my position, as this was a gesture that went very far to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty. But this is only half the praise… the rest of the praise, which is the high point, was a manager named Tammy Daken. She was polite and helpful. These two words don’t sound as impressive as they were. She went out of her way to help us select good shirts and matching ties, giving her time to painstakingly select clothing that looked good and was of exceptional quality. She didn’t try to fob us off with cheap or tacky clothing, but seemed to be genuinely engaged in helping my uncle look his very best. This meant a great deal to both my uncle and me, and my uncle commented several times since how helpful Tammy was, and how grateful he is to her for all her help. At first, I was going to write a bad review, then, with the 4% discount, I was going to write a very bad review, then the 10% discount made me want to write an even worse review, but Mr. Hillgartner’s gracious offer, and most importantly Tammy Daken’s assistance has given me nothing but good feelings regarding JoS. A. Bank on University Dr. in Fort Worth. For Tammy alone one should give this store a chance.
