Ordered the 32 oz sirloin and if you are looking for a «real» steak with fat gristle and all it is fantastic. The garlic sauce is a little strong but I enjoyed it. My wife on the other hand was not a big fan of trying to pull out the fat and gristle. Very old school classic dive that clearly has never changed in years and years.

Don’t let the sketch hole in the wall look deter you from trying this place out. Their steak, and the pork chops are absolutely incredible, hands down the best I’ve had. The owner/chef came out from the kitchen to check on us and have a great conversation. The waitstaff was also personable and friendly. We left feeling full and happy to have found this hidden gem in our city… and have since been telling everyone we know about it! Little did we know, but we weren’t surprised to discover that he also owns Margie’s Italian in far west Fort Worth, which is another one of our favorite hole in the wall looking gems.

We went here on Wednesday for half price ribeyes and it’s a very small hole in the wall place. I must of drove past the place hundreds of times and never noticed it! You get what you pay for here. The steaks aren’t fancy or high end. The people that work here are wonderful though. Makes you feel like family

The best steak ever. Love the garlic. Hole in the wall heaven. It’s quit a drive for us but worth every mile. I request M M Steak House for all my special occasions. You won’t be disappointed.

I can’t review the food here because we didn’t stay long enough to order. The waitress was beyond rude. The place was busy but not one table had food and this at 7pm. So we walked out. Something I never do.

My first time here, I’m on a journey to visit Ft Worth oldest and original places to eat, this place looks awkward from the street but don’t let that discourage you, it’s small on the inside with taxidermy on the walls, the jukebox still play 45 records that was cool, the salad was good with house dressing(ranch), ribeye was good come out and support this place !

I’ve been going here for 15 years. It’s just as good now as it was then. We ordered the sirloin for two with garlic. It came with baked potatoes and salads. The steak was seasoned just right. The place is small so going here with a large group could be a challenge. Don’t be scared by the looks on the outside. It’s definitely worth it.

I ate there last night, and wish I had not. The chicken fried steak was what you might get in a TV dinner. The beer was good.

This hole-in-the-wall may not look like much, but don’t judge the quality of the food off of the appearance. If you’re after a great steak with no frills, this is the place. On the other hand, if you’re looking for a steakhouse with an elegant atmosphere to impress your guests, keep heading onwards to the Stockyards. We visited around 8:00 on a Friday night. My husband and I both got 8 oz. filets. They were bacon-wrapped and seasoned well with delicious garlic. Cooked perfectly. Our meal came with a salad that had a homemade Ranch dressing and bacon bits. We had the choice of fries or a baked potato. Our potatoes were huge and included shredded cheese, sour cream and butter on the side. Our waitress was very attentive. The restaurant is small and dimly lit, with a bar in the front and tables in the back. They have tables for four and at least one round table to seat larger parties without pushing tables together.

Steak was over cooked and very fatty… they used a garlic powder instead of fresh garlic. Calf fries were fine but I didn’t get much flavor from them. Salad was ok. Texas toast was the best part of the meal. I will say the beer was ICE cold though!

After hearing great things about this place we figured it would be worth a try. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. We walked in and were not greeted in an adequate time. By that I mean we stood at the front entrance for a good 4 minutes before someone even acknowledged us. Time was around 7:30pm on a Friday night. We understood it was small so we let the time issue go. It wasn’t very busy and there were plenty of empty tables so I wasn’t sure why the wait but maybe they were short staffed. We ordered a pitcher of beer. After another long wait the waitress brought our beer and 2 hot mugs! What restaurant serves hot mugs? Needless to say, we had to drink fast to avoid the beer from getting hot. Any who, we waited about 15 more minutes before the waitress came to get our order. We ordered the steak for 2 special. I think it was 36oz. It was reasonably priced but then again, you get what you pay for. We waited about 45 minutes for the food to come out. Not sure if they have 1 cook or multiple cooks. Seemed like they only had 1. We ate our salad and it wasn’t anything special. Tomatoes were semi green and no croutons or cheese which was different but I actually enjoyed it. Our steak finally came out and were informed that they were out of baked potatoes but they took the liberty to replace it with fries! Ugh! Then they forgot our toast. When they brought our toast it smelled like gas! We bit into it and it literally tasted like gas!!! Nasty taste stayed in our mouth for hours! The steak wasn’t at all what I was expecting. It wasn’t that good and not well seasoned. The lemon threw me off but I squeezed it on the steak anyway. Had it not been for the lemon I probably wouldn’t have been able to swallow it. Apparently the garlic didn’t help. Steak was chewy and had way too much fat. I can take some fat but not when the fat takes up 1⁄3 of the entire steak. Many defend this place by saying that lunch time has better food and service but really?!? Why would that matter? Food should always be consistent. Overall, the service was lagged and the waitresses were not very welcoming or even looked like they wanted to be there. I’ll stick to saltgrass.

Diamond in the rough. The look on the outside doesnt tell whats going on inside. T-bone with med. garlic cooked on it was delicious. They didn’t skimp on the size of the baked potato either. BTW the salad w/house dressing was fresh also.

Tried the chicken fried steak. I ate it but probably won’t again. Tender meat but the gravy didn’t taste just right to me. Salad was iceberg with a few small chunks of tomato and purple cabbage. House dressing is the only salad dressing offered. It was thin and didn’t have much flavor. The rest of the party ordered ribeye and sirloin steak which were very good. One person ordered fried shrimp and couldn’t eat it. It was overcooked and when tartar sauce was requested it was sour. We had excellent friendly service. I would recommend this place for steak only.

Don’t go here expecting to find a high class, high dollar experience. Do go here if you want a good steak in a homey(to put it mildly) atmosphere. The neighborhood is sketchy but the parking lot is well lit so don’t be a wus and GO. Closed on Mondays and it’s CASHONLY. Get your steak«with garlic», go a little light unless your a big garlic lover. Salad is standard iceburg but that’s what goes with this old time standard. Calf fries too, with cream gravy. mmmmmmm
