Metroplex Academy Of Dance is dedicated to share our passion for dance by teaching all forms of dance to EVERYONE! No one is discriminated against because of gender, age, race or handicap. We offer a positive environment to learn various styles of dance.

We strongly believe that dancing helps build character, attitude and self esteem. We not only teach dance technique, we teach our students skills that they implement in their daily lives such as presentation, posture, poise, structure and improvisation.

History

Established in 2013.

The name represents everyone involved at the studio. It is easy to name a dance studio after yourself… but I did not want to take all the credit. A great deal of recognition belongs to my dancers, their parents and my staff.

We realize you have a choice between several different dance schools and not all studios are the same. We encourage you to make sure you agree with their mission, vision and dance curriculum. We will always strive to make dance fun and build self esteem.

Your child might not have the desire to perform on broad-​way or become a professional dancer, but dance discipline has been proven to increase coordination, strength, correct body posture and self-​discipline that will be used throughout their entire life.

We offer our staff ongoing training, clinics and conventions to always provide our students and parents the most superior dance experience.

Meet the Business Owner

Andrea G.

Business Owner

Andrea has been studying Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip-​Hop and Lyrical for over 33 years, and has been teaching dance for 16 years. Andrea herself, danced and performed as a Cedar Hill High-​Stepper, an Arena Football Expedition Cheerleader, competed in many national /​regional competitions,. Andrea found her love of teaching while attending the University of Central

Oklahoma and taught for Dance Master by Christy & Company in Midwest City, Oklahoma. She then attended Northlake college and discovered her passion of performing, along with choreographing.

She choreographed and taught private classes for those trying out for Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders, Dallas Maverick Cheerleaders, local drill team, officer positions and cheer/​dance team Regional and National Competitions. Andrea continues to educate herself in the art of dance, and participates in various teacher workshops, seminars and dance classes. Andrea is excited to share her love and passion of dance, to all ages!
