Morgan was absolutely awesome! Not only was she extremely professional and courteous her expertise went above and beyond. I will definitely be recommending her services at this location to my peers. Went in today from a Groupon. Camille was my hairstylist. She was knowledgable & could read between the lines, photos of hair color I liked. Camille was patient with my indecisiveness, & gave me a great color & cut that I love. Have another appt with her in 6 weeks. Highly recommend

So, I’ve been going to Moda for over a year now. Which is saying something, because either I get bored or frustrated with my hairdressers. I am a finicky scheduler and almost never know what I want. I need my salon to accommodate. not so much accommodate, but be CREATIVE. Yes, because hair is indeed an art. I’m not so arrogant to suggest that the appearance of my hair rivals (or should rival) Monet or Kandinsky — but who doesn’t want to have some control over their appearance. Example A — I do not want my hairstyle to tell people I’m a complete jerk before I open my mouth. I’m quite capable of putting my foot their all by my self, thank you very much. But, I digress…
I have had my hair cut by almost every stylist at Moda from new talent to senior stylist and I have yet to leave disappointed.
Today, I had the pleasure of having my head worked on by Camille, who graciously let me prattle away about complete nonsense while formulating a wonderful style for my hair. Once again, I knew I wanted it «short» — which is no direction at all as I’m always seeming to try and get it shorter than the last time while maintaining stylability (is that a word?). Its like saying I live in Manhattan on the left. regardless, Camille chopped away (with a considerable amount more grace and polish than the verb «chopped» would indicate) until I was satisfied. And even better, it didn’t take forever. I was in and out inside of ³⁵⁄₄₀ minutes including my prattle.
My hair is finally «short enough» (until next time, at least) I am more aerodynamic than ever before, and Moda on 7^th pulled it off, once again.
People say, «Oh yeah, ask for [Blah Blah], she/he’s the best» — honestly folks, these guys and gals are pros through and through. Style is sort of «their thing».
Watch out for the owner, she’s super sassy.

I went to this salon because of a Groupon deal (should have known better) and I wish I had read the reviews before hand. My appointment was first thing in the morning and there was my stylist and the receptionist there. The receptionist offered me coffee but he seemed a little lack luster and bored. I gave my stylist a picture to work with after kind of looking at the picture she asked about a part and then went to wash and give me a deep conditioning. This is the only positive part: Aveda products are awesome. My stylist kept pulling my hair. The deed conditioner wasn’t put under a dryer. I just sat with it on for 5 minutes (this was 30 dollars). She didn’t speak very loud or ask questions about the style. The haircut itself looked awful afterwards. I don’t think the layers were done correctly. She just said thank you at the end and didn’t even suggest a product .
In all this visit sucked and I won’t be back. For the money I will find a better salon. They got 2 stars for the product.

I loved how much detail and precision Dale put into my cut. I could really tell he was passionate about what he does and cares about the client. People still keep telling me how great my haircut looks (almost two months after!)

Rose is Great, I have been using her for five years now… Everyone I refer to her becomes a loyal. She knew exactly what I wanted! I wanted Dallas Socialite Gucci blonde and that’s what I got! She’s a fabulous stylist and listens to what you need! It was an amazing experience to visit Moda Aveda Salon and Spa. I visited the salon for hair coloring and I got many other services. The salon had a very luxury and hygienic atmosphere.
Everyone here made me feel welcomed. I will def be a regular here!!!

Salon continues steady decline. Each time I’ve been in there are fewer clients and stylists. Sad because Moda was once one of the best. Been a very long-​time customer, but I won’t be back.

DO NOT GO HERE. This was the WORST experience I have ever had a a salon. I went there for a trim and my hair was cut uneven. I went there for hightlights and they can’t color. I used a senior stylist too. Customer service is horrible. They only care about money and not the clients.

The worst service my fiancé has ever had at a salon. She had spent 200.00 hair color, and absolutely nothing looked like it was promised. She asked for blonde highlights in brown hair, and instead got red highlights.
She came back to ask if they could fix it, just wanted what she paid to have done in the first place. The stylist was rude, and while She was having her hair shampooed they asked her to leave, would not blow dry it, or straighten it.
I would not recommend anyone else go to this salon for the simple fact their customer service is lousy.

Best pedicure in Ft Worth! I can only afford to go once a month– and my pedi seriously lasted that long! No chips in polish! They use Aveda products so the smell great!

Came here for just a blowout before a friend’s wedding. Wash with the lovely scent of Aveda products and scalp massage was great, but then the stylist did my blowout without a nozzle on the blow dryer. I found this to be rather odd and wound up having to fix my hair at home to get it smoother. As much as I love getting my hair done just to relax, it wasn’t really worth my time or money.

Can I give this business NO stars? I can’t? Alright, let me convince you then.
I recently moved to Fort Worth from Austin, and armed with my Aveda color formula from my previous salon, I scheduled a color appointment at Moda for a root touch-​up and toner on my platinum blonde hair. Upon entering, I notice that the stylists are incredibly unprofessionaly dressed. As they walked clients to the check-​out desk, I struggled to decipher who was the stylist and who was the client (ie: a moomoo dress is not suitable for any profession outside of… well…anywhere). Problematic. My experiences with multiple other Aveda salons have included stylists in sleek black & white attire – a very professional touch. Come on, Moda. This is a business. Act like it. However, the petite blonde behind the counter was bubbly and told me perfect places to acquire Kendra Scott earrings in Fort Worth and loved my purse. Thanks, sweet girl! The brunette looked annoyed to be there, but now I can’t blame her.
I gave the recommended stylist my formula and after applying my color I was seating in the waiting area. UNDERNEATH a fan. WHAT? Any idiot knows that you cannot place color-​processing clients under a fan. Cold air + processing color = disaster. THIS is not the colorist’s fault; this is a huge design & common sense fail from the salon itself. Get it together.
Then, he intentionally processes my toner for over 10 minutes, when my formula states «no more than 3 – 6 minutes». I know it was intentional (does it really matter, though?) because he kept meticulously searching my hair like an elementary school nurse on lice patrol (no, I don’t have lice). I want to blame this on my freezing cold head from the salon’s poor fan placement, but who knows. Thus, my color turned out streaky, brassy, and ashy from over-​toning (it’s actually a huge feat to have brassy AND ashy tones on the same head of hair, so congrats, Moda).
Lastly, the playlist featured songs that dropped the «f-​bomb» so many times even me and my sailor’s mouth were uncomfortable. Clearly this is very preferential & picky, but if you hadn’t gathered that by now, then why are you still reading?
Basically, don’t come here unless you’ve lost your dignity, have no idea what «quality» is, or are looking for a step-​up from «Visible Changes» in the mall.
Note: I called the salon and let them hear all of this. They apologized profusely and recommended I come in to meet with their «color educator». I plan on doing so, but that won’t fix the extensive damage done to my hair by 10 minutes of toner.

My review is based on the hair dresser I had the luck of walking in on today. Heather is extremely talented and knowledgeable and gave me one of the best cuts and colors I’ve ever had. I can’t ever say I’ve been 100% satisfied with past stylists, but Heather really listened and gave me honest, intelligent opinions and suggestions when I asked. I highly recommend asking for her if you plan on going to this salon. I was also surprised at how quickly she worked and turned out a flawless product. I got a new style and cut and tried a new hair color today – both of which i was nervous about. But I’m truly excited about my new look! Thanks, Heather!

This place is terrible. I’ve given three stylists here a try — ranging from newbie to «master» and none of them came close to what I wanted, despite showing them an easy-​to-​follow photo. Getting your cut here is an absolute waste of money.

This is a store that I stopped in a few times to pick up items as gifts never realizing there was a spa nestled inside the salon doors. Their selection of Aveda products is comprehensive and has always met my needs. What I never knew is that there is a little slice of heaven just a few steps further beyond the desks. Moda Aveda has an intimate peaceful spa setting which is just what you need when you are ready to check out for a bit, relax and recharge.
There are three wonderful nail technicians as well as massage, facial and treatment therapists with what you would expect from a salon of this caliber; soundproof rooms, heated beds, dark walls and professionally attired and trained employees. I’ve used Gabbi for my gel nails and a pedicure now and while she has only been doing nails for a year, she exceeds most nail technicians I have come across in any setting and over more years than I care to admit and I highly recommend her (hesitating here as I know this will make it harder for me to squeeze in whenever I want). The staff that it has been my pleasure to work with certainly have done their best to ensure that you unwind relax and really enjoy your services.
The best part for me? Found out from a new friend that they have weekly specials if you sign up for their email. I know, I know… another email list. But, this one is different. It’s actually worth it! For example, as I write this review, I just received their email for this week offering an Aveda manicure and pedicure for $ 50 for the next three days!!! That is a bargain anywhere!
The only suggestion I have is that if you have an affinity for a particular nail color, you may want to stop and pick up a bottle and bring it with you as the color choices are limited.

Found Moda on GrouponNow and came in Saturday just needing a blowout. I liked the atmosphere alot. Very upscale but not intimidating. Think Toni&Guy but far less stiff, with lots of natural lighting and without the techno blaring in your ear the whole time.
Megan did my blow out and she was such a doll! She was very thorough during the consultation and asked about my styling habits etc. Even though she wasn’t cutting or doing a chemical service she still wanted to get to know my hair and my styling routine. She then put a treatment on and was very attentive the whole way through. I have alot of hair (very naturally curly thick hair that is) and she took her time to blow dry it completely straight, didnt just rush through.
During the process she was very friendly and personable and my hair looked GREAT when I left! I am going back to get my haircut by her this Saturday. I highly recommend her if you are looking for a new stylist.

I was trying to find a good place to get my hair did in Fort Worth. I like to be a little fashion forward but not outrageous.
For the image Moda is trying to project, they need to consider who they are hiring or invest in more training for their employees. The only trends the stylist who worked on my hair seemed to be in touch with were small town and a little outdated.
I’d recently had my haircut by my regular stylist in Austin and while it was a great cut, my natural color made it look a bit mumsy. I was living in Fort Worth at the time, so I couldn’t make the trip for a color fix, so I booked in at Moda for some highlights. I scouted the website for prices and thought I knew what to expect.
I told the stylist I wanted my hair to pow but to blend. I left with hair that looked the same as when I came in but about $ 200 poorer. I had a bit of sticker shock for such a bad service but I didn’t stop to complain because I’d been there twice as long as I had expected and really needed to leave.
The stylist hadn’t thought it would take so long either. My hair didn’t take to the chemicals like he expected so he was having to keep checking and he looked a little surprised at the results of his handiwork each time. I guess he finally decided that enough was enough and continued with the service. After he had blow dryed it out, I wasn’t about to start over.
I also assume that the sylist was trained to go for the gusto when it comes to price and not consider the client’s budget. I’m usually asked if I want a full or partial and usually go for the partial. Obviously I got charged for a full.
The good thing is that I never had to get my roots touched up. Also, to give credit where it is due the stylist was pleasant company and he didn’t make my hair fall out or turn unintentionally green.
I think the people who recommended Moda to me just didn’t know better. It might do well in a small town but as Fort Worth grows, it’s going to have to grow too or get kicked aside.
I give it 2 stars instead of 1 because I’ve had an OK (but not great) massage there and like I said, the stylist didn’t make my hair fall out.
