This is my favorite pizza place out there and I’m lucky enough to live nearby! The owners are friendly, great people so it’s never a chore to swing by and pick up my order. I think of it as a well kept secret, not too busy, great food, and a quiet patio you can eat or just hang out on!

I’ve ordered pizza from here 4 times and it has always been great. Good prices and and fresh food. Last time I opted to pickup rather than delivery since it always seems to take an hour for delivery and I didn’t want to wait that long, pickup is a lot faster. The folks that run this place were great and super friendly. They have a number of specials including a buy 9 large or giant pizzas and get one free punch card for pickup or dine in. So I’ll probably be picking up from now on.

My fiancé had been going to Italian Express for about 15 years now. We moved further away and hadn’t been back in a while. He used to rave about this place but after a recent visit and seeing that there are new owners, things are NOT the same. Firstly, the service could have been better. The woman behind the counter was slightly rude to customers and they dropped his pizza after a 30 minute wait. He was willing to just let that go since he hadn’t had their pizza in a couple of years. He finally gets his order after waiting a total of 1 hour and 20 minutes. He ordered a calzone, pepperoni rolls, cheese bread, and a stuffed pizza. The pepperoni rolls were burnt and dry as a rock. The calzone was also dry and very plain but edible. The marina sauce was watery and flavorless. The pizza was edible but was much better with the previous owners. The cheese bread. well they forgot to give him the cheese bread. But I think it’s safe to say it would have also been burnt and dry as a bone. All that, for over $ 30. After being a loyal customer for over 15 years, it’s sad to say we will not be returning. It’s disappointing to see the quality of the food dip so low after such a good run. RIP Italian Express.

This reminds me of the pizza place at the mall. Pizza, bread sticks, pastas, calzone, pizza slices on the go place. The mom & son team were friendly and told me about their special and that they delivery now. They were celebrating their one year anniversary. I had a pepperoni calzone with some kind of pizzas tarts. Which all were great. Almost a 4 star review but when your touching my food with no gloves, but bare hand. Not a big fan buddy. But will try them again, only cause the bread was great. Try them, it’s delicious.

I went on a whim and ordered delivery. The pizza was good, thin crust with good marinara sauce. I actually really enjoyed the pizza. The cheesecake was amazing, but you’d have to be a terrible cool to mess up regular cheesecake. The baked ziti was horrid, the sauce they used for it lacked flavor but was somehow packed full of peppers? The garlic bread wasn’t great but it wasn’t bad. I’m trying it out again today and ordering all different foods just to see if maybe the ziti was a rarity.

Pizza was great, pepperoni wheels were superb, garlic rolls were awesome, and service was friendly and first class. Best meal I’ve had in awhile. Will DEFINITELY be back!

I’m giving this place four stars instead of three just to compare it to my earlier review of «Joe’s». I had this on my last day in Texas and it was pretty good. A true hole in the wall — if you don’t look close you will miss it. It had an east coast vibe from the inside and size and what they served. I tried the pizza to compare to Joe’s and it was better but was not awesome. It was just okay. But I am an east coaster with extremely high expectations so there you go. I didn’t try the subs but my family did and they enjoyed the Texas and Philly Cheese Steak. The four stars for me are mostly for decent food, doing things right by running the restaurant the way they are, and pure nostalgia. People need to support more businesses like this. Especially in Texas of all places. Hook the little guy up, people!

OK maybe I should’ve gone for the pizza because its probably their signature item. I got the chicken Alfredo and the garlic bread… all I can say is I could’ve made it at home.

I ordered a Medium Pizza and a liter of Pepsi for delivery. It took and hour and 20 minutes to get here. No Pepsi I paid for. The pizza was cold. To be fair, they sent bread sticks complimentary for the delay. The delivery guy told me it is his families business and went across the street to get me my Pepsi. So he really did try to make it right. But I think it should just be done right to begin with without all the riff-raff. That makes me not want to order from them again.

A great place to stop in for a slice and a coke, they will add any topping you like onto a slice and put it in the pizza over to melt the cheese and crisp up the crust. The service was fast and friendly, and you can call in orders that will be ready when you get there. So far I have only had the slices and the pepperoni rolls, but they keep me coming back for more. Be aware there is a five dollar minimum to use your debit card, but a slice, a couple rolls and a coke cover that. It’s easy to miss while driving by, so look for it across the street from a random little liquor store.

Easily the best pizza in Fort Worth! I’ve tried just about everything in the area and this beats them all. It seems a bit sketch from the outside, but as soon as you walk in you’re greeted by the friendly owner, Sammie. The pizza looked great under the glass and even better after he cooked it in the oven. Great taste! Great price! I’m picky about food, especially Italian and this was fantastic! For lunch one slice of pizza and a pepperoni wheel with a drink would be plenty for a hungry guy. You can easily have lunch for $ 4 – 8. Enjoy!

My husband and I just threw away the take out dinners we ordered a little while ago. He had chicken alfredo, I had spaghetti with meat sauce and meat balls, also a salad and garlic bread and cheese bread. At least I think that’s what it was. The food looked disgusting, and tasted worse. We are wondering whether we’ll get sick from the few bites that we ate. Maybe their pizza is good, like I’ve read on here, but we’ll never know because we will never go there again. I still can’t believe how bad it was. I don’t want to give this place any stars but I’m being forced to. There aren’t enough negative stars in the world.

WOW, this place is awesome. I was house sitting for family in Ft. Worth and just typed pizza in the Unilocal search and this place was close. From the outside you don’t know what you are getting into, but ignore that and get in and try some pizza. I got a slice of combination pizza and it was outstanding! A huge slice, cost $ 2 and a little change. The dough, the toppings, the pizza sauce and even the service was great! I will be back for sure.

I really really was looking forward to trying Italian Express, unfortunately I was disappointed. I ordered the ½ Giant with pepperoni and green olives for $ 8 and because there is a $ 10 minimum I also ordered a canoli. The minimum charge did not bother me, I was expecting it. What I wasn’t expecting was the hour long wait, which I could have looked past if the pizza was not ice cold when it finally arrived. Plus the way it was boxed was unacceptable, four slices total with 2 slices on a paper plate stacked on top of the other two slices all in a med. sized pizza box(picture posted). Besides being cold the crust was tough with no crisp to it and the entire pizza was limp and soggy. The canoli was also disappointing. The filling was very thick and heavy instead of light and creamy and tasted like it had been refrigerated for several days. A friend suggested I give it another try but I’m scared to and really don’t want to throw more money away. Perhaps the way to go is dine in or pick up. Hopefully it’s just delivery that is lacking.

It’s easy to pass this by as you get off IH20 to get onto McCart, on your left hand, but well worth searching for. The food is put together while you wait but the wait was not long at all. While there ask for the specialty«diaper» pizza and enjoy a good tasting meal.

HOLYMACKEREL! Yeah it’s in a shady neighborhood across from a shady liquor store. It’s really small and I questionned my sanity for walking in. BESTDANGPIZZAINDFW! I grew up in an area where pizza was like bbq is to Texans. Pizza shops everywhere. I would rank this the third best pizza I’ve had in my life and the very best I’ve ever found in Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin or Houston. The owners are clearly uprooted New York transplants. Their crust is perfect. Just enough sauce… good toppings and friendly. I was so excited I called my Dad in Houston to tell him. Then I called a couple other teachers who rejoiced since there’s hardly any place decent to eat close to our school. Go go go and get a $ 2.50 supreme slice to go and you’ll be so happy you did! You’ll also be pretty full on one piece of pizza.

Winner of Fort Worth Weekly Best pizza in Tarrant county award a few years back and still are the best. Sammy is the owner and he learned in the Bronx and you can tell. Transplanted New Yorkers give him a call and check it out! Very affordable. Pastas, salads and subs are all good.
