Business Owner

Debra Smith is the President, General Manager and Majority Owner of Pulliam Pools having purchased it in May of 2009 with her partner, Mike Clark. She started at Pulliam in 1992 and climbed the ladder to achieve many milestones in a male dominated business.

Debra is accredited as a Certified Building Professional with APSP and is the first woman in the nation to achieve this designation. She is also a Certified Pool Operator and holds a Texas Appliance Installer License through the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the second woman to achieve this license.

Philanthropy is at the heart of Pulliam Pools, and the company is known for its contributions in the area.

Great customer service! Beautiful pool! Thank you to Taylor for working with me for so long on trying to get my pool to fit on my lot and for his patience with me picking out the tile and stone! Also a huge thanks to Randy for being such a great superintendent and being so informative and caring. They did a great job on my pool, steps, and retaining wall! Very impressed! Randy made the build so easy on me and even made it fun! Thank you!!!

Pulliam did an outstanding job building our pool. They transformed our backyard. They did what they said they’d do, pretty much when they said they’d do it. They were always available to answer questions and make everything right to our satisfaction. Pools are expensive and you could probably get one built cheaper, but you get what you pay for and it is very evident to me that Pulliam does it the right way. They have the expertise and experience. Bart Smith designed a pool/​spa and deck design to fit our yard, our budget and our backyard dreams. I would definitely do it all over again. Thanks Pulliam.

I am disappointed to have to write this review, as I believe there are some quality employees at Pulliam that want to do their jobs well. However, I purchased a home 2 months ago that had a pool installed by Pulliam 13 months prior. We were in a rush to get settled in as we were relocating from CA and my wife was 8 months pregnant, so we were not able to enjoy the pool right away. Once we did finally get around to inspecting, we realized that a huge crack was bisecting the pool, resulting in approximately 2 inches of chlorinated water per day leaking into our yard. (Pool was 15 months old at this point). Immediately we contacted Pulliam and were informed that «we do not warranty our work for any subsequent owner», refusing to help us address the issue. I contested that assertion on the grounds that the pool made it through only 1 swimming season before catastrophic failure. After asking around, I am of the opinion that inadequate ground preparation was done, allowing Pulliam to get by «on the cheap» which resulted in cracking that began immediately. (As info, the base of the pool has sprinklers that keep the ground wet each day to mitigate ground swell due to arid conditions). Please carefully consider your pool contractor’s ground preparation plans prior to construction.
