History

Established in 1995.

In 1995, Gerald Schwarz and Tod Hanson opened its doors to Schwarz-​Hanson Architects in a former bank space shared with another firm. In the pursuit of gaining experience, the firm took on and completed a wide range of projects varied in size, scope and price range. From this humble beginning, the firm’s principles of innovative design, quality construction documents, and unmatched service were formed. These traits, applied to all projects, still apply today.
