Specialties
T&P Tavern is a 1931 train-station diner, turned tavern, reborn as a social space and a time capsule of Fort Worth history.
We specialize in knowing our Fort Worth Market.
We have a little bit of everything here.
Possibly better known for our eclectic beer tap wall, we try to keep it 1⁄3 «Familiar» or Known Brands, 1⁄3 from Texas, and 1⁄3 Micro-Niche beers, (give or take)
Our liquor collection has a little bit of everything, including a modest scotch selection.
Our wine list has basics, but all quality wines.
Being a Tavern, by whose definition means more focus on drinks, rather than food, we created a menu with traditional ingredients but robust flavor.
Our food has been labeled «traditional» by most critics, which is a fair statement. We don’t fry anything in an attempt to keep a healthier fare on our menu. Grilled paninis, homemade salsa and chips, brisket tacos, and our fabulous cheeseboard for two, will fill the void and hopefully surpass your expectations for Tavern cuisine
History
Established in 2010.
The passion of two 14 year residents of Fort Worth, husband and wife, Nate and Joanne Weber fell in love with this 1931 diner and renovated it themselves with help of family and friends. A definite labor of love, they have «bet the farm» on this gem of a space, and rightly so. With it’s original art-deco interior and 5000 sq. ft (covered) patio, it screamed potential and they were sucked into its beautiful time-warp-esque appeal. If and when you visit, you will know what I mean when you first enter the space.
Its high ceilings, comfortable feel, attention to intricate details and offerings make quite an impression. (And that is the just the first step) To realize the importance of the space you have to know that not only everyday people, but celebrities, presidents, and dignitaries once passed through the beautiful old train station. From what we have confirmation on Elvis Presley, Teddy Roosevelt, F.D.R., and L.B.J. have all passed through.
