This was my first time here and decided to order drive thru. I ordered 2 regular tacos and a super tostada that was packed high with hamburger meat, beans, cheese, lettuce, black olives and a tad bit of sour cream. I asked for hot sauce and she said OK but when I got home, nada. =/ I expected the tostada and tacos to be soggy by the time I got home but they were surprisingly crispy still. The tacos were really good. They do not skimp on the meat or cheese. The tostada was ok just a bit too beanie for me though. I think next time I’ll order without or at least ask for a light helping of the frijoles. Service wasn’t bad. The window server was very polite and thanked me(which is must for me) and bade me a good day(which is always nice). =) I will definitely try this place again. NOTE: 3 stars for leaving out hot sauce and too many beans on the tostada.

Nothing bad, just bland: on par with Taco Bell/Bueno. If that’s your thing, enjoy. Or treat yourself and find a taqueria with dollar tacos and cheap Tortas for better flavors.

Not bad for fast food Mexican. At this writing, it’s 10 pm and crowded. Once my order was placed the food appeared pretty quickly. Taco Casa is known to be generous with cheese and they did not disappoint. The tacos were smothered in grated cheddar cheese and seasoned ground beef. The meat burrito was the same thing. Pretty good stuff. I miss my Del Taco(although there is now one in Dallas on I-30 and Cockerell Hill), but Taco Casa is a pretty good subsitute.

I am a fan. Each time I visit TX I go to Taco Casa! During this visit the service was not great so they get two stars(average of 3 for overall). The food alone would get four. I remember when they opened this location and there used to be a Taco Bell across the parking lot. We had never heard of Taco Casa but decided to give it a visit. I read other reviews comparing their food to the old Taco Bell, don’t know where that came from but I don’t remember Taco Bell ever being this good. The cook their meat, beans and use real cheese. They are not afraid to fill your tacos with plenty of meat, cheese and just a little lettuce compared to taco bell that will give you frozen meat warmed up in a broiler and only a little meat, lots and lots of lettuce and 2 strings of cheese. Taco Casa has great nachos and the super nachos while pricy is worth every dime and will fill you up. Shortly after they opened Taco Bell closed the doors and relocated because they could not keep up. Bear in mind that Taco Casa is a lot more expensive than Taco Bell but you get your money’s worth. They have great sweet tea and it will be free if you wear your work uniform or work shirt but you must go inside to get that offer. The drive thru is always packed and this reminds me of the In N Out Burgers in CA that are always packed and during lunch don’t even think about going unless you have some time spare. If my review was only based on the quality, quantity and taste of the food they would be at 4 stars. Service today brings it to 2 stars but to be fair I am giving them 3. I do recommend them.

This place was PACKED at lunch, despite there being a Taco Bell and a Taco Bueno all at the same exit. Why? Taco Casa is an instant food memory. Let me take you back… when I was a teenager I ate Taco Bell constantly. They had a combo, two bean burritos & a soda for $ 1.99. I lived on that. In college and as a young adult I continued eating Taco Bell constantly for my cheap food needs. Anyway, they used to have a very different red sauce than they do now. They used to also have tortillas that were soft and felt almost fresh, rather than the stale crap they serve now. It was about 6 – 8 years ago I think that they changed their formulas, and I went from eating Taco Bell a couple times a week to… essentially never… almost overnight. I stopped into a Taco Casa on a whim a few months ago. I don’t know the story behind the chain but I would not be surprised if someone who used to work in Taco Bell food factories before they changed their recipes quit and took the recipes with them. Because Taco Casa’s food tastes EXACTLY like Taco Bell’s used to. Except they smother it with about twice as much cheese. The red sauce is identical to what Taco Bell had long ago. I take one bite of their«chilada» and I am instantly transported back. Whoa… All that said, it’s still fast food and there is a ceiling on fast food. It’s not haute cuisine. But if you, like me, used to like Taco Bell and think it is crappy now… try Taco Casa. The prices are a little high for fast food items(and much higher than comparable items at Taco Bell or Bueno) but they are generally much bigger and far more generous with the cheese, so take that into account.
