The tacos are amazinnnnnnngggg. we were originally going to The Velvet Taco but ran across this little gem… so glad we did! I recommend the brisket taco with slaw… it’s a food truck in-between several dive bars. Taco’s, beer, and cocktails, it gets no better than that. They are open until 2am. You will not be disappointed!

I was excited when they opened the location on Montgomery as it’s close to me but after trying it twice I’m sadly disappointed. The tacos are OK. But really, they are just OK. They were better on the truck. At $ 8 for 2 tacos and $ 9 for a small, well(cheap) tequila margarita(one of the worst margs I’ve ever had) I can’t recommend this as a hangout. The worst part, as someone else pointed out, there is an air of aloofness with the staff. Not welcoming at all. In a town that’s famous for good tacos you need to do better than just talk a good game. The move from truck to neighborhood taco bar has, so far, not played out well. I’m sad to say I’ll be surprised to see this place here a year from now. Here’s hoping you can turn it around and in a few months I can rewrite this review more positively. Good luck.

Another taco joint with a bit of pretension. The tacos are good but the service is lacking. The hostess was snotty. The guy taking our order was discombobulated. Asked for a straw for my tea and got a «baby straw» which was way too small for my glass. All this together knocks the rating down. I can have it all right around the corner so why would I settle for less? I’d love to tell these places — SERVICEISKEY. You simply can’t sit on your laurels with service. From the first impression to the end. It will make or break your business. You can have incredible food and lousy service will sour it. You can have just ok food and great service will make it amazing.

I wasn’t all that impressed with this place. Went with my new boss to show her around fort worth and we had this for lunch. Asked for unsweet tea and got sweet!!! I will say the queso was really good.

Man this has changed so much. Service sucks, they aren’t open past 2am and they always run out of things. Guess they’re too concerned about their new shop than servicing their loyal customers. Beyond disappointed and will not be returning after this weekends events(both fri and sat were awful there this weekend). Save yourself go somewhere else.

The street corn is delicious! Also the pastor tacos & shrimp tacos. I highly recommend it.

I have not been too either of their trucks BUT encourage you to head on over to Montgomery Street for the brick and mortar version. Perfectly delicious tacos. Great customer service. Not a place to linger, yet. After the patio opens it will definitely be a place to spend«a couple of drinks and tacos» time enjoying the view.

These taco were awesome the green hot sauce really hits the spot with them. I had the carnitas and the chorizo tacos. I love the fresh tortilla that they use to wrap the taco in. I love the fresh ingredients including the cheese the use to company your meat of choice. And what really sets these tacos apart are the fresh avocado slices that you can get on top. I can’t wait till I’m in this area again so I can stop here and get some more tacos.

Ooooooooohhhhhh T. H! I love taco heads this might be strange to say but I don’t necessarily crave taco heads for the tacos I will add they are good but not authentic(there I said it)! I go to Taco heads for the sauce they have the best green and red sauce it will make you punch a baby in the face! I tried to buy a Jar of the sauce night but they were out of jars that’s how good the sauce is!

We were gonna go to Velet Tacos but saw a taco trailer so we wanted to check it out. It was a great choice. The price isn’t that bad for 1 taco. I enjoyed the tacos very much. The sauces are amazing. It has the right amount of spicy kick to it. The brisket tacos were my favorite. My boyfriend enjoyed the chicken tacos.

I heard about Taco Heads in the line at Heim BBQ. A guy in the line said that Taco Heads had the best tacos in Fort Worth. Usually behind Poag Mahone’s, Taco Heads was at Avoca Coffee this morning. The husband was going to run in and get a coffee, but when I seen the food truck I told him to get me a breakfast taco. I got the«I’m only going in for coffee» look. I was half joking anyway and told him just get coffee. He came back with coffee and 2 breakfast tacos. ;) The tacos had a good amount of egg in it, cheese, crispy bacon, onions, cilantro, and tomatoes. It was pretty good and decent size! It was probably one of the best breakfast tacos I’ve had in awhile. They are opening a restaurant on Montgomery soon!

I think this place is pretty tasty. It’s a cute lil trailer behind Poag Mahone’s. I hate that bar, but you can park in the back and walk directly up to the food truck without having to drink at the bar. The people working the truck are always super sweet despite how busy they are, and especially considering everyone ordering is drunk. Breakfast tacos are dope, but I’ve really never had something I was unimpressed with. Be careful tho, they will make your breath smell like onions, so bring gum if you’re tryin’ to mack at the bar.

We stared going to taco heads a few years back when we lived in FW, we moved to Dallas and we have to drive every now and then because these are just the best tacos in this side of the border, I live the chicken and carnitas tacos, the queso fresco and the jalapeños are the perfect topping. My husband who happens to love meat can’t get enough of the veggie tacos, I usually order one of each and all of them are my fav. Oh! And the salsas, being from Mexico we love spicy salsa and green limes! They are really great at what they do.

Taco Heads is a fun taco trailer, in the busy West 7th corridor and the staff are beyond friendly and fun. Parking is a chore since the lot is shared by some pubs, and the empty lots nearby all have tow warning signs. Eating outside when it is 100+ degrees is not our idea of a good time, so we took our food to go. While waiting at about 8pm on a Wednesday we did get to combine the extreme heat with lots of cigarette smoke and a loud, vulgar conversation from a nearby table of lovely patrons who apparently were already 2 sheets to the wind from pub next door. So…to the tacos. They were cooked with love I’m certain, but did not impress at all. The pulled chicken was juicy and the portion was generous, but the meat was just very bland. The grilled flour tortilla, grilled onions/cilantro and the slaw were decent, but could not compensate for the lack of flavor in the main ingredient. Barbacoa was a similar experience. The corn tortilla and avocado were nice, but might have been better off by themselves. My wife tried a brisket taco, and the meat there was better. It had a little too much liquid smoke though in my opinion, and the meat had a lot of heat to it without much flavor. I know you can add some awesome salsas, but you shouldn’t have to do that. Overall, 5-star staff and service, such nice people. Maybe we got them on an off night, or the prep chef was new? Regardless, there are 2 much much better taco choices within 50 yards(Velvet) and 1500 feet(Limon) so I doubt we will be back.

Horrible experience the last several times we tried to go. Out of propane the first time, out of taco ingredients the second time, and finally to top it off the health department came and shut them down the last time. Definitely not returning and I would advise anyone wanting to check this place out to not waste your time.

Ok carnitas tacos, great taco sauce. The tacos weren’t authentic enough for me, I’ve had better. The staff was very nice and I like the patio.

Stood in line for over 40 minutes waiting for tacos, even though they were completely out of breakfast tacos, i decided to settle for chicken. I got to the front of the line starving at this point and paid for my tacos already. The girl in front of me gets her tacos and then the health inspector shuts them down without getting me my tacos!!! I was LIVID. Never eating here again! Dont eat here! They can’t even pass health code.

Just perfect. What better way to end your drunken endeavors with some savory tacos. Service is quick and just a fun place to meet after all the fun you just had. It’s a very clean taco truck with great smiling faces. Try anything because everything is delicious.

Unfortunately I am updating my review on TacoHeads, they do have great tacos however now that they just opened their restaurant on Montgomery they have raised he price of each taco about a $ 1. Considering they were already expensive tacos to begin with, it’s a bit ridiculous to be paying almost $ 4 per taco and they’ll probably end up losing loyal customers like my husband and I. We went all the time to the truck, opening night, but shirts, bring our military friends and have taken all of our out of state friends and family here. Big disappointment.

The best Tacos I have had in a while! It was hard to find, but worth seeking out. A food truck parked behind a bar. Had to ask some locals where it was. They are getting a brick and mortar soon. If you are in Ft Worth this is a must try!

Great late night tacos! This was my first time here before 2am, other times I’ve came there was always a long time, and people wait 30+ min in line. I ordered 6 tacos –2 breakfast tacos w/Mexican potatoes, bacon, cheese –2 carnitas tacos w/onion, cilantro, cheese and avocado –2 pulled chicken w/onion, cilantro, cheese and avocado All were delicious! Everyone tells me to try their breakfast tacos and I’m glad I did because it was my favorite! Each taco you’re allowed 1 or 2 other items, after that they change about 50 cents per topping. Really the tacos are small and you really need 2 – 3 items. They do offer the options of flour of corn, I prefer flour cause it’s less greasy. They take cash and debit. They have a big patio area when you can hang out and eat. I prefer to take it home so I can enjoy my food without very loud drunks. I’ll def come back as long as it’s not after 2am on the weekends!

Taco heads makes traditional tacos in a small truck behind velvet taco and poag mahone’s. These were my first tacos I ever had in Texas. I really like that you can order these tacos and go inside to poag mahone’s, grab a beer and then eat your tacos in the bar when they are ready!!! Definitely give this place a try if you are looking for some traditional style tacos.

The best part about this is Skylar and Marvin! They were what is considered the fantastic duo! When the bars began to play the song«closing time» we knew that was our cue to walk to Taco Heads. I ordered three different kind of tacos and they all were DELISH! Skylar and Marvin were the friendliest people I’ve met! Patience and kind were the characteristic that caught my business. Yes, we were all drunk but damn they were understanding. Haha I’m still drunk atm but had to write this review before I fall asleep and forget wth happened tonight. The tacos were amazing!!! Best tacos I’ve ever devoured. No offense but they make better tacos than my Hispanic friends. Truth.

We had food from the truck at Rahr’s They were not ready for the large crowd. Very slow took almost 30 minutes to get 4 tacos. Not happy with the wait. The tacos were ok I like the pork one the best. The brisket kind of tasteless and I got the cole slaw on it which was just cabbage. Over all if they would improve the speed and add taste to the brisket I may try them again. But I like Fuzzy’s better. And they had a sign for breakfast tacos but he said they were not serving them. Take the sign down then.
