I love this cute salon off Camp Bowie! After relocating to Texas a few years ago I had not been able to find anyone I liked to take care of my hair. I was going 8 months at a time without a haircut because I dreaded the next person messing it up. I booked my first appointment with Katy and had her cut almost 12 inches off. She did a great job so I keep coming back!

Friendly staff and inviting atmosphere. My daughter and I have yet gotten a bad haircut from any of the ladies. Only drawback is the location (locating it and parking) and not open on Mondays, which is one of my main days to have available.

Amazed and impressed! One of the challenges of relocating to Texas (in Houston for 3 years and in Fort Worth for 6 months now) has been finding someone that could help me keep a light (but not too light) neutral/​ashy blonde (with no gold)! I could write a saga on the 3 year drama.
Look no further! Sarah and Priscilla saved me! Finally someone who listened, asked questions and delivered my perfect color! The color, cut and style was EXACTLY what I wanted. Sarah even took time to teach me two new quick and easy styles that will reduce damage from shampooing, drying and ironing!
For my sisters out there reading this review who are feeling like they may never trust a colorist again, have faith and know that Sarah and Priscilla can help. My hair is very fine and naturally a darkest ash blonde (6A if you’ve been through a lot… You’ll know what that means). Other places had turned me white, orange, purple– and left me with horrible breakage. Sarah got me exactly the exact color I wanted and my hair feels healthy for the first time in years! There is hope– see Sarah– she can help you, too!

I had a great visit at the Bees Knees Priscilla Gish gave me a dry haircut. It looked and felt great! My husband also got his hair cut there… he is due to go back this Tuesday!

Katy did an amazing job on my cut and color! She used my inspiration photo and made it even better! Not only did she do a BEAUTIFUL job, but she was also very quick and fun to talk to! I am so happy that I have finally found an awesome stylist that I can trust in Fort Worth! :)

Katie is the best! She always knows exactly what I want, and my hair always feels so soft and great when I leave!

I used to live in FW and Mandy Handcock was (and now is again!) my go to girl!
I moved to Dallas and just couldn’t find anyone as good as her, so now I make a day out of it to visit Fort Worth and get my hair done.
Everyone is super chill, and willing to help you with whatever you need!
Also, I had my make up done by Ashton– and she is awesome and oh-​so talented!
This place is a hidden gem:)

Katy Stanley is awesome! She was recommended to me by a friend and she has not disappointed yet. My color looks great, my cuts have been perfect and I had her style my hair for a formal event. She did an amazing job… received comments on my hair all night. Would highly recommend Katy to anyone looking for a professional, friendly and stellar stylist.

Katy at Bee’s Knees is awesome at what she does! Everytime I’ve seen her she’s always been super friendly and professional.
My hair, when it gets long, is extremely curly and thick, and she seems to have no problem with it all.
She’ll keep a conversation flowing while effortlessly working her magic. I’d highly recommend her.
And as for the Salon itself, it was very energetic. All of the staff were engaging their clients and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.
I’ll definitely be going back.

Aston is a magician. She fixed my color and my cut — which I had butchered/​colored myself at home. I will be back — she is excellent.

Absolutely stellar environment and service. Aston gave me the best cut and color I have ever had. After I left, I went to Sprouts to do some shopping, and a lady hollered at me from across the parking lot just to tell me how much she loved my hair. #astonisamagicartist

I really wanted to love this salon, but the stylists didn’t wow me. I had to go back to have my hair fixed, but a week later was their soonest appointment. After Sarah fixed what the other stylist messed up, it was okay. But for the hassle (my time and having to go around with a not worth $ 60 haircut) I would probably go somewhere else. Sorry Bee’s Knees, y’all did not impress me.

I loved this place! I love going to get my hair done and getting to drink wine or coffee. Makes any gal feel special. Anywho, I had my hair done by Mandy who was great and really knows her color. All of the girls were so nice! They all talk to you like they’ve known you longer than they really have. I do, however, disagree with $$ tag. I would pin it as a $$$. $ 220 with tip for a trim and color. Not a bad deal If you can afford it.

I’m gotten my hair cut twice by Aston. I was pretty happy after the first cut. She did what I asked, and did a better job (for the price) than any other stylist I’ve tried. The only downside is that she didn’t shampoo my hair after, so i was shedding all over the place hours later, but that’s something easily fixed so i was pretty happy.
I went back for a second cut thinking maybe I’d found my new place for a good haircut. This time I’d specifically asked for a shampoo, which she did at no extra cost. I left feeling pretty happy. I’d asked her shave in the part, which she did. It wasn’t until I got home that I realized she’d also notched out a chunk of hair just below the part as well. It’s an obvious mistake, but something that could have been forgiven if she’d just said. OK I did this in error and suggested ways to minimize the impact. Instead, I she didn’t say anything, and it wasn’t until I got home and saw it. Needless to say I’m pretty disappointed. I probably won’t be going back.

Aston is amazing! I had a haircut done at a different salon that did ok but didnt really do what i wanted. Im looking for my forever hair stylist so i decided to try this place.
She did an awesome job at really giving me what i wanted! Its scary to find someone to cut your hair really short but she did great. And! She is super sweet!!!

I’ve had a lot of bad hair experiences in my life time, to the point were I just couldn’t stand walking into a salon to get it done. I was pretty nervous since it’d been over a year for a decent cut, and I was afraid I’d have a lot of unanswered questions as per-​usual.
After making a few phone calls to another salon downtown, with no call backs or even take the time to answer the phone, I figured I’d give Bee’s Knee’s a try. When I walked in, I was greated with a smile and asked if I wanted a beverage. I immediately fell in love with the atmosphere. Upon getting my cup of coffee, I met Sarah. She was pure delight. I had a general idea of what I wanted, she made it crystal clear what would work. I asked my usual questions and now I feel I have all the answers for styles and cuts that would work.
It’s not like any other salon I’ve been to, and it was well worth the wait and courage to try. Hands down, I will direct anyone looking for a friendly staff and cute atmosphere to go give Bee’s Knee’s a try.
I will definately be back again. This is my go to!

Today I went in armed with my Pinterest pictures and high hopes for Sarah, my stylist.
The moment I walked in the door, I was pleasantly greeted and handed a lovely cup of white wine. I was a little early to my appointment but Sarah came over minutes after I sat down and I was instantly smitten.
She’s super sweet, friendly, kept the conversation going and most importantly listened to all my hair concerns before getting to business.
The wash and cut flew by but, my favorite moment of the visit came when sarah actually took the time to teach me how to style my hair. She took everything I’d mentioned about my day to day morning challenges and offered up a quick but stylish solution. I’ve never had anyone take the time to do that, it was fantastic!
I highly recommend you stop by. She didn’t at any point in time push a product, left the questions entirely up to me and was just all around awesome.
Last tidbit? The most adorable French bulldog, Frances, made her bow-​tied appearance towards the end of my visit. Next visit, I may need to seek her out sooner!

Today was my first visit to the Bee’s Knees and let me just tell you– the name fits! This place is great. The receptionist is extremely helpful and friendly. The salon is easy to find, clean, and hip without being pretentious.
My stylist was Mandy and she was THE BOMB​.COM. Seriously– I got a scalp and shoulder massage, the best shampoo of my entire life (trust me… they do this thing with a hot water towel to seal in the conditioner and it is REDUNK!), a super sexy bob haircut (with lots of options for different sytles), and she’s super fun to talk to. She even showed me how to do a proper Victory Roll– which I didn’t think would even be possible with a bob! So great!

I LOVE Bees Knees! This is the first salon that I can truly say I have become a «Loyal» customer. I usually don’t do much with my hair, so whenever I have HAD to get a haircut in the past, I use to simply search for the cheapest salon near me and make an appointment. Since all I ever did was trim my split ends, I never searched for anything fancy. Shortly after moving to Fort Worth though, I had Pixie cut that was growing out and was in need of some professional attention. Bees Knees was close to my house, not ridiculously overpriced, and the salon was a gorgeously remodeled older home off the beautiful bricks of Camp Bowie.
I booked an appointment with Aston and have been going to her ever since (about 5 times now). Aston is just amazing, she ALWAYS gets it right. Down to the last detail. I’m not a very complicated customer though, I usually go for very a casual and natural look, but I AM picky about the details, and I have never had anyone cut my hair so absolutely perfect the way Aston does. I always leave very happy with my fresh haircut.
I have not met many of the other stylists, but everyone that I’ve talked to is really sweet and always helpful. I had once forgotten to apply a discount, and when I called back, Lauren was very helpful and happily helped me apply the discount, no issues. They always offer you a drink while you wait (pretty much anything you want, even wine I think), and there are plenty of magazines to read through while you sip and wait. I highly recommend Bees Knees.

I feel like the Bee’s Knees should have more reviews because of how bombtastically (not a word) awesome they are.
I went to Sarah. Here’s how I figured out to go to her: Went to their website. Looked up some of the stylists. Found Instagram accounts (I’m a terribly good internet stalker, sorry). Saw that Sarah had some short hair as well. Decided she would probably rule my life. She did.
I love Bee’s Knees for the following reasons (please keep in mind I’ve been one time):
+I was able to book my appointment online. Book it, pick my stylist, pick my cut, and see EXACTLY how much it was going to cost me. Some places you are kind of shooting in the dark on price.
+I like the local feel. Locally owned and operated. Which means they get to pick products they like. Give you first time discounts if they feel like it. Have a doggie in the shop that is the cutest of all time. Is in a house on Camp Bowie so it’s incredibly laid back.
+I just FELT comfortable. I didn’t feel pressured to buy anything extra or look a certain way or fix my hair this way or that. Sarah worked with what I have and gave me several suggestions for styling it in the future.
One of my friends has seen two of their other stylists and loves them both as well! That’s THREE awesome stylists. My bet is that they are all amazingly awesome and will listen to you and be kind and make you look like a super babe or babe-​ette.
