Dickmanns is a second generation local sports bar. In business since 1977, Dickmanns location is perfect for most of Northern Kentucky and downtown Cincinnati’s customer base. Known for its relaxed atmosphere, chicken wings, sand volleyball, concrete floors, great craft beer selection on tap and beer served in a can, Dickmanns continues to be the place to go for sports viewing. We love Dickman’s! Being newer to the area it’s really hard to find somewhere in Cincy or NKY that sells great wings and is smoke free. These definitely are the best wings in the area. The wings are aren’t soft and mushy, but more well done the way Fricker’s and Rooster’s are (my fav wing spots up north).
They also sell a good selection of craft beer. And you can get buckets of local canned craft beers instead of the usually bud light.

A suppose Dickmann’s is a good hangout if you’re looking for somewhere loud with lots of TV’s to watch a sporting event. If it’s dark, it’s a little hard to find and the parking lot can be a bit creepy. However, they have a large beer selection and the night I was there they were offering an assortment of $ 2 craft beers, which is a great deal. My biggest pet peeve though is having absolutely no glass in the whole bar. All beers are canned or served in plastic cups, same with mixed drinks. I hate being in a bar yet being treated as if I’m in a frat house. I always want to say, «if I promise not to throw the glass across the room, can I please have a big girl cup?». Anyway, the food is basic, the wings and pizza are good. You order your food at a window and pay for it, they then call you over the loud speaker when it’s ready. All in all, this place serves a purpose and it’s always busy, so there are plenty of fans.

Nice larger barn style bar with good selection of beer on tap, pool tables, sand volleyball court out back during warmer months. Front patio with fire pit and plenty of TV’s to watch the big games!!!

A group of my friends and I met at Dickmann’s this week as we attempt to schedule a gathering once a month.
This is the perfect place to just relax, have some drinks and eat some food.
Buckets of bud light (cans) were $ 10. The food is just typical bar food. I especially like their personal pizzas, but my friends ordered wings and they looked good as well.
The waitress was very personable and took care of the table very well throughout our visit.
I would HIGHLY recommend this place if you are looking for a place to watch a sporting event … TVs everywhere.
BTW — Dickmann’s hosts one of the best summer (sand) volleyball leagues there are.

The only good thing about this place is the huge amount of TVs on the walls. The food was bellow average, and the prices were moderate. I didn’t really like the way the food is ordered. A person has to walk up to the kitchen and order the food themselves. This place is only good for watching the game on a Sunday, and only if you’re a diehard Bangles fan.

This is the epitome of sports bars. And is SMOKE FREE. The food is delicious! I’d recommend the chicken wrap or pizza! They always have a drink special during the week. I’d recommend Tuesdays which is two for Tuesdays, $ 2 domestic drafts and cans AND $ 2 wells. But if you are doing shots, try the shot wheel, I mean why not? The staff is friendly and prompt. You can go to the bar or wait for a waitress. There are TVs everywhere so you will definitely be able to watch your team. If sports aren’t for you they have skeeball (yes skeeball!), sand volleyball leagues and FOUR Golden Tee machines. They have a front and back patio if smoking is your thing with fire pits on those cool fall nights. You really couldn’t ask for a better sports bar.

If you like boring service and drinking out of plastic cups, you will love this place. Wait staff stood around shooting the bull and I was bored to death at the bar. I like to have conversation while drinking, especially when it’s a slow Wednesday. However, it was lame. The Pub at Crestview Hills is right down the road, I’m heading there.

Not sure why this place has a three star avg? If you enjoy the sports bar atmosphere, it doesn’t get much better than Dickmans.
Drink prices are great, food is good (especially their wings), and the staff is prompt while being friendly.
They have huge TVs and numerous smaller ones all over the place, so you’re guaranteed to see your team!
This place is certainly worth visiting.

Great wings! I considered myself a wing connoisseur and these are the best in Cincinnati hands down. Dickman’s also happens to be my favorite place to watch Kentucky Basketball!

I always wondered what the big red barn visible from 275 was until I finally got the chance to come here. Food was fine. You put in your order and pick it up at a counter. It’s cool that you can play skee-​ball, cornhole, and volleyball here, but honestly I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here to do any of them. They do get points for being nonsmoking. Probably your best option in the Ft Wright/​Independence area if you don’t feel like going to Bdubs.

It’s NON-​SMOKING now!!! I had skipped going to Dickman”s for a long while simply because of the smoke. Now, SMOKE FREE! The wings and pizza are really very good, but the menu is limited to sandwiches and such. A huge bar area, plenty of TVs, nice beer selection on tap and in bottle with many specials. There’s a big outdoor area with sand volleyball that is pretty secluded even with being so close to I-​275. I give it 4 stars for what it is; a sports bar. Plus, if I see 3 stars I might tend to skip it, but I’ll be headed back to Dickaman’s more often.

Great hot wings. We’ve never actually stayed to have a drink or eat but always get wings to go. They make great wings with Frank’s Hot hot sauce. We always pass up BW3’s to order wings from Dickmann’s!

I decided to try this place since I knew of a lot of people who went here and some even told me the food was pretty good. They were wrong.
The food was just okay. It was just like any other bar food. I would never go here again for the food.
The bar on the other hand, is a pretty decent size with plenty of tv’s and the coolest part of all is the outside area. They have a volleyball court and more tables out there. I don’t drink, but if I did… I think this would be a pretty cool place to hang out.

I went to Dickman’s recently for a friends birthday party and will never go back unless I have very good reason too. Since Northern Kentucky is now the smokers section of Cincinnati, I should have remembered I’d be in for a smokey night, but my goodness, I think I lost five years off my life here. It was terrible. A thick haze of smoke was ever present and the rowdy and loud patrons were pushy and inconsiderate. These things must only bother some, for the bar was absolutely packed and seating was scarce. Packed with T.V.‘s all playing sports, I wondered who could even hear them over the noise? I spent the night drinking beer out of cans, my only amusement being a game I play trying to get my boyfriend drunk off shots before he realizes that’s what I’m doing.
Overall, a loud, smokey, sports bar, fine for some, hell for others.

Dickmann’s does’t have a lot going for it, aside from all of the TVs. If you need somewhere to grab a beer and watch sports, it may work for you. But you’ll need to be able to block out all of the smoke and bar fights. Seriously, there’s a rumble here every other time I go. Can’t blame the bar for it, but the patrons. It seems like this is where douchebags and cowboys go to mingle. The smoke is to be expected at any bar in Kentucky, but it seems especially thick here at Dickmann’s.
But the worst thing about Dickmann’s is that they kick you out way too early. Bar time is always sped up a bit, but they kick you out at about 1:30, bar time, which is really around 1:15. Do they not want your money? I don’t understand their thought process, but it doesn’t matter too much because to stay at Dickmann’s that late is already testing the limits of your humanity. I’d go elsewhere (and I do).
