Location has been closed. Probably shut down due to the Chipotle and Freebirds opening up nearby. IMO, their quality had been going downhill for a while.

Food is ok, i gave it 3stars just for the freshness. It is very busy at lunch which i expected. The workers really moved quickly to get the orders done. I had the shrimp taco and felt i had to dig for the shrimps which on top was a lot of diced onions. I would try again but would try something else.

We’ve been to this place multiple times and have always had good meals(considering that it’s fast food). Far better than T-Bell or Chevy’s, which we can no longer patronize because we don’t want to spend the next day on the toilet.

I like this take out. The Crispy wahoo taco is good and it’s not too busy during the lunch time like most of the other local places. Tastes fresh but is a bit more expensive than other places and somtimes they are short of staff but the staff they do have are nice.

Good food… more expensive than chipotle… but they have more options than chipotle too. I love their salads and their salsas. My husband likes their mango chicken. considering it is a chain, it is terrific. Keep up the good work. Their service is good too. Nice folks. Although sometimes it is difficult to understand them.

Fast and tasty. La Salsa has a better selection of … salsa, of course! However, the fish tacos tend to be better than the hard to find«Rubios» chain.

Just a note to say that if you like Mexican food, if you like it very fresh, and if you’re not(as I’m not) a fan of burritos stuffed mainly with rice and beans, you should give this place a try. The Baja Burrito is meat(your choice: chicken, steak, carnitas), cheese, guacamole, and the pico de gallo — that’s it. If you mix in the grilled veggies from the Ultimo, you have the perfect nonrice, nonbeans burrito. Yum. This place may look like fast food, but it’s not. Everything really is fresh and tasty.

Whoever said fast service is kidding themselves. 30 minute wait for a cheese quesadilla. Not during rush hour. And everyone else’s order after me kept coming up before mine. Would have been 5 stars for the food, otherwise this would have been a zero star for sure.

First time here, I can’t believe this is my first time here! Anyways, Skinny Chicken Bowl: Amazing chicken with smokiness, nice grilled zucchini and the awesome texture of the black bean and rice. Salsa Bar, mmm, EATSOMESTRAIGHTUPJALAPENOS– FLAVOREXPLOSION. Mango Salsa, SWEET, flavor’s so BALANCED. Service is kind of slow, but it’s FRESH, I mean, It’s Baja FRESH, so yeah, whatever, worth the WAIT.

Terrible customer service, slowest cashier ever. Salsas were not filled. Lots of dirty tables. No good. But I will come back cuz I love their veggie burrito. The power of the chain shackles me so.

I can’t come to understand why this Baja Fresh is getting such low reviews! I must say I am fan :) The service here is fast, the food is always good and my favorite part is the salsa bar but none of the salsa is actually spicy. I either get the mahi mahi tacos or the diablo shrimp burrito — both are really good, it just depends on what I’m feeling like that day. Also they always have really great coupons in the mail which makes it even more worth it to come by and try the place out.

Yeah. the ratings for this place speak for themselves. :(Definitely not ‘mexican’ food. The food is pretty gross, and the one time I had something it was cold. I’d even rather go to Taco Bell or Chevys.

Hmm I’m not sure why this Baja Fresh isn’t getting good reviews. I guess I’ve never been to another location, but I find the service to be acceptable and I love the salsa bar. I guess one negative would certainly be the cleanliness of the restaurant. It’s not gross, but they could do a little better job wiping down the tables and chairs during the day. My favorite thing on the menu is the grilled Mahi Mahi fish taco — it’s so delicious!!! The fish has this really smokey grilled flavor. I also LOVE the roasted tomato salsa. It’s the one that’s dark brown. It’s really rather amazing. My sister and I have plotted stealing the bowl from the salsa bar before. Haha. Chips and guac are also pretty solid choices. Anyway, I’m a fan of this place for sure. It’s too bad it has such a low star rating, since it’s pretty good, especially considering it’s a fast food chain. Go figure.

I like the food at Baja Fresh and especially the salsa bar full of mango salsa, jalapenos, salsa verde, etc etc. I had the tostada salad last time and it was big and very satisfying for about $ 5.50. It costs a little more if you add meat but it was still filling with guac, beans, cheese, etc for protein without the meat. My big complaint from my last visit though was the rude service. I started ordering from one cashier then, mid-order, another cashier took over and I had to order again. I think this caused some confusion for them and my to-go order was prepared as if it was eat-in. When I asked for it then to be packed to go, the employee helping me seem really pissed off and threw my salad into a bag and tossed the chips(that had been on the tray) elsewhere. There is really something to be said for«Service with a Smile» which Baja Fresh was definitely lacking!

I am not sure what it is about this place, but the salsa is just terrible. I find their hot salsa to be bitter and not very tasty. A few of the chips that I was given were chewy which is a sign that the chips are either stale and have been soaking up the humidity or they were cooked in low temperature oil. Either way, they did not taste very good. I will give this place a couple of stars for having a clean restaurant, it was brightly lit, and well laid out. The staff was friendly, and my ordered was prepared and handed to me within 5 minutes of ordering.

My stomach hurts jsut typing this review… Baja is right below my work and in and I mean last resort I have to turn to Baja Fresh but not once have I not completed my day with a stomach turning stomach ate and always wonder why??? Why did I go to Baja again??? Why tell me why??? Not worth it and it is not even cheap. The extra star is due to the salsa bar and extra toppings, probably the only real fresh tasty part that may not leave me feeling like crap.

I stopped going here a long time ago because it was salt overload! Man… everything but the chips tasted waay too salty. I’ve seen the nutrition facts for Chipotle and know they pack a lot of salt in their food but at least I don’t really taste it. If I want quick«Mexican» food, I just go to Chipotle now. 1 star for being fresh &1 star for the cleanliness & the salsa bar.

Great outdoor seating at Baja and in the courtyard area of the complex. Pretty bland Mahi Mahi Tacos… and what’s up with the cabbage instead of lettuce? That’s a SoCal thing right? I prefer lettuce. The chips and salsa were the highlight of the meal.

I ***LOVE*** burritos. Steak, rice, beans, salsa, guac, lettuce and I’m all set. After trying many places on the Peninsula I am still giving my money and appetite to La Cumbre on B Street in San Mateo. As for BFMG I’ve yet to be wow’d. There is some odd flavor in their food and it just doesn’t fit my taste buds. Also, the B’s are very dry and blah; this has been found in both San Mateo and SF. The only decent location is in San Ramon. I’ve added this place to my ‘no thanks’ list.

The line was out the door when I got here at 12:30 for lunch on a Friday. The tables outside were packed and the people in line looked disgruntled. You associate a place like this with fast service, so I can see why people looked annoyed. But then when you’re standing around waiting for your food, you will probably notice the sign on the wall that reads«Fresh food doesn’t come from a microwave, thanks for your patience.» Okay, that’s not really what it says, but I remember reading about microwaves on their wall and being sad because I love my microwave at home(for entirely different reasons). But, it is a Friday afterall, the sun is shining and the only other alternative is to walk to Safeway — so I stayed. I ordered the Mango Chipotle Chicken Salad — which was highlighted on the menu in orange — yay for marketing! Surprisingly, it turned out to be pretty tasty. Generous amounts of chicken and avocado and the lettuce was fresh. The chipotle dressing as on the side. I liked the salsa bar and the nice variety of salsas. I added more mango salsa to my salad — the tangyness was delicious — I hardly used any of my salad dressing. I was pleasantly surprised by this meal and will consider going back but may decide against it if I’m in heels and don’t feel like running across the street.
