I ran a large reputable construction company that specialized in high end costume homes from 1986 to 2006 in areas like La Jolla, Corona Del Mar, and several projects in Utah.

We are now located in Fountain Valley and now service all surrounding areas.

I am sad to have to update my stellar review below. I called Gilbert for another job and he asked me to send him a list of the items I wanted done and even tentatively scheduled an appt. saying that he would confirm shortly. He never confirmed, showed up and did not call or respond to my messages. I tried numerous times to call over the next 3 weeks (I wanted to give him a chance to call back in case he had an emergency or a medical issue that prevented him from responding) without a response or follow up. He turned out to be unreliable, unfortunately.

The guys from A to Z Handyman replaced an exterior door to my garage that was in really bad shape. They built a perfect replacement from scratch. I couldn’t be happier with the craftsmanship and overall service. I have found my «go to» service for projects around the house.

Gilbert and Maritza are absolutely wonderful! I had a problem with my hot water heater where I couldn’t get the pilot to stay lit. I called Gilbert on Sunday around 2:30−3p. He said he was with family, but would be at my house around 5p. When he and Maritza showed up they seemed to know exactly what they were doing. The thermal sensor was out and either that needed to be replaced or the whole heater would have to be replaced. He gave us options of what he could do; however, because it was Sunday and most businesses were closed, he would not be able to help us until Monday because he needed to get a part. On Monday, he texted me to let me know when he would arrive. He arrived on time and had my water heater going in less than 20 minutes! Yay! I highly recommend Gilbert and Martiza for any handyman needs you may have. They were very polite and professional. Thank you both very much!

First of all… Gilbert is a professional and honest handyman. I ran into an electrical issue when attempting to install a patio light in my backyard. I figured that I’d give Unilocal a try and found A to Z Handyman Service. Only 3 reviews, but a 5 star rating. Well, Gilbert didn’t disappoint! He not only figured out my problem and explained it to me, but went to pick up the parts I needed, fixed my electrical issue and installed my patio light in less than two hours! Forgot to mention, I called him on a Saturday and he was at my house in under an hour!
I highly recommend Gilbert for your handyman needs!

Gilbert and Maritza are incredibly nice, very meticulous, and knowledgeable about construction. I had my bathroom renovated, my wood floor refinished, and the walls painted. I thought his price was very fair. The owner was very reassuring and communicated with me every step of the way to make sure I knew what was going on. I would absolutely work with him and his partner again. Thank you very much for the fantastic work you did.

A to Z Handyman Service is the way to go! The owner is very personable. Not only did he remodeled all of our bathrooms beautifully he also finished the job before expected! He even called us a month later to check if everything was fine. If we do anything else to our house, I will always use A to Z Handyman Service.
