ABC Copy

Was taken here by my father when I was in need of an expedited passport renewal for school… usually, the service that my father gets at his usual haunts around little Saigon isn’t the type of service that I end up getting (decorated Vietnam War veteran vs. neurotic, tattooed grad student, anyone?), but ABC Copy proved to be one of those rare exceptions to this rule.
The owner has tons of travel photos plastered everywhere on the inside of his business, posted most likely in case any customers were doubtful of his globetrotting expertise. The photos were actually reassuring to me, as I needed a passport quickly and I needed someone who knew how to get it without a hassle. I didn’t say more than a few words to him before it seemed as if he knew exactly what to do for me; he asked for a few pieces of vital information (address, reason for travel, visa, absolute latest date to receive passport, etc.), and went to work filling out the paperwork.
He was upfront about the governmental fees and his own surcharges, was professional and courteous, and most of all was BLAZING FAST with his turnaround time. I did a bit of research on passport renewals and thought that the processing period was at least two weeks by mail; ABC Copy got the new passport in my hands in just one week with plenty of time to spare and a great load taken off my back.
All in all, I’d definitely recommend ABC copy for passport services. The owner knows what he’s doing and will take care of you!

Ripped off. He didn’t take the correct passport picture required by the State and I complained. He refused and wanna charge another $ 15. Horrible service. How can bad service stays in business?

Please don’t even waste your time to consider to have anything done here. Very bad attitude, they just want to done with things quickly.

Poor customer service. There was one worker at the time I came in who didn’t even bother to greet customers. When approached, answered questions about how much things costed to a minimum without elaborating, which was confusing. I asked clarifying questions (total of 3 questions) before being told to just go to staples haha.
I’m pretty generous with stars in my rating, but this place doesn’t deserve even one. Darn this minimum one star requirement.

I was desperately looking for a place that could do CANADIAN passport photos. I spent 3 hours making calls, driving around, and none of the regular places could do them for Canadian specs. ABC Copy was just about to close, and Alvin HAPPILY greeted me and said he would help me. He not only took quick, easy and GOOD photos, but he successfully made them to the Canadian dimensions and had my photos ready in under 30 minutes! The photos were a bit on the expensive side, but I didn’t care, as Alvin was a delight, gave great customer service and saved the day! :)

They should have — star here ! this place is a rip off. Waste $ 40 just for 1 minute fill out paper work they could have done it the post office for $ 25 and they do everything… I could just have full out paper work myself or the post office service will do it. How can their bussiness survive in a long term anyway. What a shame. Waste my money and especially my times driving around …

I would give them 0 star if I could. My mom gave me the phone number to this place because they are reliable (according to her), and I can avoid the line at a passport agency. They told me over the phone that they can take care of expedited passport for my baby and I for $ 40/​person plus government fee. And he told me specifically all I have to do is to go pick it up at the LA agency once it is ready. Well… guess what? He asked me to pay before the process, took pictures, filled out the forms, handed me the envelopes and told me to go to Buena Park Library, where they have the authority to witness my oath & signature. So I thought okay, that’s not what you told me earlier, but if you needed me to go drop it off for you then fine. Nooooo!!! It turned out I have to pay the government fee, and another $ 25/​passport for the witness fee over there. On top of that, the library told me that I got ripped off because I could of gone straight to them and have everything done, and could of saved me $ 80. I have never felt so cheated! I was beyond furious, please take my words and stay away from this place. They have wasted my time and money, btw I ended up paying almost $ 500 for an adult and child passport. Talk about ridiculousness!!!

My mom heard about them on the radio or TV or something and said we should go here. I’m like «Jeez, not this again.» But I gave them a shot to please her. And yeah, it was one of those «Jeez, not this again» situations where my mom trusts everything she hears on the radio or TV for no other reason than that alone.
She doesn’t get the idea behind advertising IMHO.
Not great experience with customer service and what they said made me feel off — either it’s that I’m not confident in their knowledge or not confident in their desire to share it. Or even that they seem kind of lazy. Not sure which, but it was extremely off-​putting.
It felt like one of those situations where they advertise to get you in the door and will keep trying to sale you their services. Honestly, I couldn’t place why I instantly hated them, but I did. I don’t really need to know why or try to label them, I just needed to get away from them.
I don’t recommend these people from my experience. They probably can get things done (or not — I really don’t know since I didn’t use them). I travel a lot for work and have done many applications myself before I decided I would rather spend money to save time. These processes are usually pretty clear if you proofread your application to make sure everything required is filled.
I did not feel comfortable being here at all and I actually went in wanting to pay money for things I know I could do myself to save time.
Needless to say, I just filled the application myself and mailed it in. And it went perfectly.
However, they made my mom doubt me and I had to calm her down. I was like ‘Mom, calm down, I traveled 75% of last year to many countries, and most of the time, it was on last minute notice. If I got to Russia with their strict laws with the time I had to get that visa done, I can get a simple passport renewal with two months time.’ And I did.
