Dr. Pru has been of great help to our whole family, by providing acupuncture and whole health care for the past three years. When you visit with her you are the beneficiary of her decades of experience in alternative medicine. Caring for ourselves and trying new methods for care can be daunting, but we have weathered the changes, and Dr. Pru has helped us to find the right path for each one of us. Her style is not for everyone, but if you are desiring to make change and willing to learn about alternatives, Dr. Pru and her staff can provide the support you need.

I came away very stressed out from her abrasive attitude. She may have a wealth of knowledge, but forcefully insisting that everything I eat, which I have researched extensively for my health condition and age, and even my exercise régime is incorrect, did not endear me to her. I don’t think she knows enough about acupuncture either because she had only one type of needle and treated only a couple of points. I’ve had acupuncture for years from 3 other practitioners, so I know a little. Her thing, I think, is to make money by having people return over and over whereas another practitioner can solve a problem in one or two visits and kindly and calmly give advice. She made assumptions based on my blood type that just are not true. After bellowing at me condescendingly for an hour, and I was asking questions based on my own research, she had the audacity to say that she didn’t think we’d work well together. Who says that to a patient? No, I don’t recommend her.

I have always believed in so called«alternative» medicine(since the 70’s, anyway, when I was a teen) but had not been getting the results I wanted from my other resources and had kind of given up; I was very unwell at one point with migraines and my cousins, who have come from all over the state to see Dr. B, talked me into driving up from San Diego to see him. One visit, and the migraines were gone for over a year. Later, I had finally gotten to the end of my rope with extreme exhaustion which had worsened to the point that, although I could work out, once I got home and sat down with a glass of water, I couldn’t lift my head from the back of the chair for about 2 hrs; and so I saw him again. Again, amazing results. I practically dragged a friend with Crohn’s up just before she was to be hospitalized for 2 weeks for i.v. steroids; and, after a 2 hr visit in which he repeatedly checked her out, moved the needles, and gave her homeopathics, she was so much better that she immediately apologized for having been resistant and nasty about being dragged up. She has continued to go up weekly and has not had to see her gastroenterologist again. I would trust Dr. B with any issue, at all.

About 6 years ago, I developed tendentious in both of my arms from stress and bad practice techniques in my violin playing. I tried everything from a year of physical therapy to crazy muscle stimulation. When nothing worked, I finally tried acupuncture and it saved me! Prudence Broadwell was willing to work with my fears and hesitations, and showed me I had nothing to worry about! In fact, she cured me in a few short months! To this day, I have not had a single flare up! I am truly grateful. Because of her thoughtful treatment I am still playing violin. I don’t think I ever properly thanked her, so thank you Dr. Broadwell!

My first office visit has changed has already changed my life, as well as my opinion about Western medicines and the push of pharmaceutical drugs to cure all pains. Instead of dealing also with the root cause«the Spirit». Dr. Prudence Broadwell is kind and has warm eyes. Since my visit, I have felt more in touch with my body and inner feelings.
