I walked in here on my way to TJ Max to find a dress for a wedding. Dress Barn? Yikes, what an awful name. Not cool, not hip, not fly. I’m not sure why I even walked in but they had a ton really cute dresses that would would be absolutely Kate Middleton style appropriate for a wedding guest. I bought a really cute dress on sale and I found a pair of skinny jeans marked down to $ 20.00. SOLD. I’m glad I came in because the dress selection beats the heck out of TJ Max even if the prices are higher. Dress Barn is not super hip and trendy but if you are in the market for some conservative but cute office duds this is your place. I also saw some frumpy Grandma stuff but Grannies gotta shop somewhere comprende? I saw a vast age span shopping here, girls in their ’20’s to Grannies. The sizes also range from tiny & petite to plus. Every dress I looked at was fully stocked in every size which l loved. Nothing worse than finding something you like on the rack but it’s not your size. They also seem to vanity size here, I had to go down two dress sizes. I found a dress I liked in 30 minutes: wedding guest dress dilemma solved. Dress Barn saved me a ton of time that would have been wasted in a mall. I(gasp) LOVED Dress Barn… not for my everyday wardrobe but for the specific need I had, Dress Barn solved the problem.

I’ve come here multiple times now and every time I am pleased. The staff is very friendly and they are always willing to help. Their selection at this store is much better than any store closer to me. I will drive out of my to come here for the great customer service and the selection. Make sure you sign up for their rewards program, you earn store credit and I believe it’s 15/20% off your first purchase when signing up!

I just love this store! I spent hours shopping in here and ended up with three business dresses, two formal shirts, and two pairs of pants. The staff was extremely helpful-finding the right sizes, color, and fit! Every time they saw me carrying too many outfits they helped take them to my dressing room. I’m not talking about one person, I’m talking about all FOUR women who were working in the store were helping me and every other customer out. There was also a disabled woman who needed extra help and they were ALL chipping in to get her in the right fit. She ended up having to order her clothes online and I guess didn’t know how to do it-they helped ring her up and explained the online ordering process. It was a great experience and I had a lot of fun.

I have bought clothes at Dress Barn for the last 14 years, but after today, no more. I was shopping with my daughters, looking for nice dresses for them to wear to a wedding. We were not greeted upon entering the store even though two sales associates eyeballed us. As we gathered up things to try on, neither of them offered to help us get into one of the locked rooms. I found an open dressing room just so we could get started. As I waited while my daughter tried on dresses, one of the associates walked past and looked at me, but said nothing. I watched several other shoppers in the same boat: having to find their own way into dressing rooms because the sales associates couldn’t be bothered. One customer asked to be let in, and when she thanked the associate, the woman just muttered«Mm hmm.» You get about as much customer service here as you do at a place like TJ Maxx, but with higher prices. No thanks. I’m done.

Dress barn closed for a bit while they remodeled I had no idea when I went a month or two ago and drove by today and they were open. Wow they sure did remodeled, it’s super bright and you can smell the«new». It took my eyes a little bit to get used to it, not sure if it is the new deco but the clothes look better quality and the prices reflect it, didn’t see a lot of discounts like before but they offered their rewards card which I signed up for. I hope the blouse I got will go with blazer I ordered online from a different store. The sales staff were so much nicer than before not sure if they are the same ones but these ladies seemed like they enjoy what they are doing so it was really nice shopping. Their fitting rooms are so much nicer like 100% better than before, seemed like you are in a boutique. Good job Dress Barn for upgrading just offer some so specials like before.

I went to Dress Barn before going to the Avenue because they had some cute shoes on their site and when I called the FV store, they said they had shoes in my size and the specific color I was looking for. The sales associate said yes we do. So I drove there and when I went inside. they had a small rack with wide shoes on it. and only HALF the rack was wide and none in my size or specific color. WTF? Why does a plus size store only carry a handful of wide shoes? Literally like 4 different pairs of shoes, really? Wasted my time and gas! Grr! Thankfully the Avenue checked for and had my shoes and other cute stuff. I will DEFINITELY be going back to the Avenue but officially closed the book on Dress Barn! And as for the employees, only ONE lady talked to us as we were walking out. I passed about 3 employees and none of them said a word!

I disagree with some of the reviews stating that the employees are rude. While I only shop here occasionally, each and every time I was greeted as I looked around & started a dressing room when my hands were full. Today was no exception. Dress Barn is totally hit or miss for me. I have gone years without purchasing a single item from this store, but lately I have some good luck. I find that some things tend to look cheap, but there are plenty of cute well-made pieces to add to my work wardrobe.

Poor return policy, and sales staff attitude, returning a gift received for Christmas. I do not normally shop here, and few choices in my size, so store credit is not an option for me.

they have clothing that I can’t find anywhere else. big selection of cute tops. friendly, helpful staff. Told me to bring in slacks and they would be willing to help me locate tops to match. who does that! Helped me locate discounts at the cash register. I have been going to this store for about 8 years… and will continue to go!

I love this store!!! This was my first visit only because my roommate has gotten some of the cutest tops! At first I was turned off by the name but most of my friends do shop here, religiously! The sales girls were genuine and soooooo helpful. They helped me pick out amazing outfits! And I even open a charge card. I will definitely tell a friend! And the prices are so affordable. You really need to give this place a chance if you haven’t already, you are in for a nice treat!!!

I give Dress Barn a one star rating for a few reasons.(As a side note: I feel like it’s a cruel joke, naming it what they did, like someone said«Hey you know what would be funny? Put ‘barn’ in the name, as in ‘broadside of a…’») Ladies, if there’s more of you to love, you know that fashion trends aren’t particularly on our side… That doesn’t mean we should have to resort to muumuus and stuff! I feel sad when I go in here, the employees have a mournful look like they know it’s a mean joke and they feel kind of guilty about it. Gold shimmery jumpers are a no-no, so are dresses that look like bath robes. Both of those items were on their mannequins recently, I wanted to weep. Sure their styles leave something to be desired, but I guess some of their stuff can be okay. I also take issue with their employees, they’re not the most helpful or friendly lot. If you’re shopping in there, they’re nowhere to be found, you can wait up at the register for a while and they’ll come sauntering up eventually. Just do yourself a favor and go to a different store.

Went back today. 1st time since October. When I walked in and almost ran into an employee as she was coming out between clothes. I said«excuse me» and moved out of the way. She didn’t say a word to me. Neither did any of the other employees until I paid for my item a whole half hour later. WTF??? What’s with these employees? Why are they so cold? The employee that checked me out was nice and pleasant and that’s it. So be warned, it isn’t very pleasant to shop in there. I still have a gift card that I forgot to use today. Once I use that, I probably won’t be shopping here any longer. Hey, coporate office, why don’t you do something about your unfriendly employees?

I am disappointed in Dress Barn, I have purchased clothing over the years at this store and was always happy with the clothes. Stopped in looking for a pair of black slacks and yes they have black slacks, but the quality just isn’t there any longer. I also tried on a basic white blouse and the fabric was so thin, you could see right through it, for $ 40 I will go elsewhere for better quality.
