Good traditional American food in a comfortable atmosphere. Portions are ample for dinner, but a bit too much for lunch, unless you order the salad bar or the soup & half-sandwich. They have a good variety of tasty pies for eat-in or take-out. It’s rarely crowded except on holidays but if you are in a hurry the service is a little faster in the bar area.

We are here for the Father’s Day brunch. All the food is warm and fresh. The service is pleasant and prompt. The desserts of course are the best, love their pies. I came here last week for lunch and the food was yummy and we had great service. We will definitely be back.

Completely disappointed! I called earlier this am MC on Brookhursy in HB to see if they had mashed potatoes Togo because all of our Easter guests LOVE Marie Callendars potatoes. YES We do come in and get them! I arrive and they won’t sell them to me?? They have it on their brunch serving them. The manager Laura refused to sell them to me??? I even offered to pay the $ 18 for a Brunch just to get the $ 10 potatoes? As a former MC employee I was extremely disappointed. Now I get to tell all of our guests MC refused to sell them to me.

The grandkids were hungry after having completed a Jogathon event at school. This Marie Callender’s is a favorite with the kids. They love the selections on the kids menu and we as adults have always liked the salad bar and soups. Today was not much different. We were seated after a short wait, there was six of us. Diana, our server came over and made sure we had our drink orders in. Just Iced Tea with lemon for me. Three orders were French Beef Dip and one order was for hamburger sliders and a kids pasta with Alfredo sauce on the side. My order was for the special Chicken Pot Pie with a side of Cesar Salad and choice Dessert. Although these are pretty much standard fare on the menu, it took a bit longer to bring out the food, especially the hamburger sliders. Was it due to the tater tots that took a bit longer to fry to a crisp? Presentation wise the plates were clean and artistically pleasing. It appears everyone was happy with the meals they ordered. Diana our server came by to refill our drinks and make sure all was as ordered. My Cesar Salad was fresh, the Romaine lettuce leaves were nicely cut, the croutons and Parmesan cheese sprinkled handsomely and the dressing had the right amount of tanginess. Good start. The Chicken Pot pie came with a nice browned crust and piercing the crust you have a savory mix of peas and carrots and a few white meat chicken chunks in a creamy white sauce. I was trying my best to compare this pie to the one at Claim Jumper; I think both have their merits and for creaminess, the Mary Callendar Chicken Pot Pie gets the blue ribbon. Now for dessert. I ordered a Cherry Pie and succumbed to a side of vanilla ice cream a la mode. Pie was good and sweet but it could use a tad more Cherry filling. Did it all spill out when my slice was cut??. Oh, that was outstanding French Polynesian Vanilla tasting ice cream. Thank you Marie Callender’s for good food today, for attentive service, comfortable seating and clean restrooms. Despite a hefty bill, We would come back to this restaurant when in the area.

What a disappointment this place was. First of all I only ordered a slice of strawberry pie to go. This was my experience . I called and asked do you have strawberry pie by the slice with nothing on it or in it available for a to go order? They said yes, so I said ok, I’ll be down within 15 minutes. I called to be sure I wouldn’t be asking for anything custom. Should be simple enough. I arrive, no one around when I enter, no hostess, ok, so I go to the dessert area, someone shows up and I say, I had called. Mention what I wanted. A slice of strawberry pie with nothing on it or in it, just strawberries to go… They say ok and go get to get one. I even pointed out a pie and said a slice of that… After 8 minutes, I’m wondering what happened. Meanwhile, a few other guest arrive and are not greeted, I tell them, you could probably ask them here for a table… A young man hands me my bag and I always ‘check my order’ and it has a lot of whipped cream. So I tell him this isn’t what I wanted, could you kindly replace with one without the whipped cream. Another 7 – 8 minutes go by and he comes back saying twice to someone in the back, «Again, I’m sorry about the strawberry pie.» Did the gut have to go and make it? Anyway, I get home, the pie isn’t that good at all. I take a few more bites today, eh. I love strawberry pie and I tell you, I will not but another one from Marie Calendars. Their strawberry pie not even average.

I ordered the cobb salad from there for lunch via telephone the other day, and I went in to pick it up and service was nice and it was ready for me, but 2 things, first thing when I got back to the office and starting having my lunch I noticed that the corn bread that came with the salad was cold and a bit hard, not sure if it was just cut and sitting too long or what the deal was. I know most of the time when you dine in that corn bread is warm or hot when they serve it. The dressing I got was a balsamic but not quite what I was wanting but that was the only option I had without getting all the cream dressings. Second thing, the salad cost me over $ 15 I just feel like that’s a bit high for a salad but I guess you are paying for the convenience although I can get the same salad with a giant muffin at Mimi’s café up the street… hmmmm. Probably will not go back there unless I am dining in or having something else other than a salad. A little disappointed.

Classic American food: comforting, delicious & decadent. Low stars because customer service here at FV is poor– manager actually told me that she doesn’t trust Unilocalers & thinks it’s all bogus. I didn’t want to bother edifying her… please give good classic, honest customer service along with your good food and you’ll have more business.

Absolutely most disgusting chicken pot pie I have EVER had in my life. I eat their frozen pot pies purchased from the market, and they are good for a frozen meal, so I figured the real thing would be phenomenal. It was absolutely disgusting, gross consistency, and maybe 4 pieces of chicken in the entire thing, and INSANELY over priced for the size and pure gross-ness of this meal. Even thinking about the chicken pot pie makes me want to throw up, that’s how gross it was.

Will never go there again. I had some sour cream that was on the dish I ordered and have been sick since last night.

I rarely ever get the chance to dine in and usually just order a quick lunch to go or to pick up a pie. The usually always have some great lunch menu options starting at $ 6 bucks and higher. I usually just go for the BLTA sandwhich with fries of chili. Chili here is pretty good and hearty. Oh! Don’t forget to order a side of cornbread. One day I was craving sweets and I saw they had fresh baked chocolate chip cookies. They run about $ 1 a cookie but they offer a buy four get four free. So of course i opted for that. Cookies had a great crunch but soft in the middle.

We decided to change it up this year so we paid Marie Callendar’s a visit. The line was out the door! Who knew everyone had the same idea. The wait time was estimated between 25 – 30 mins. We got seated in 15 mins. The hostess was very pleasant. Our server was Victoria. She was very friendly and attentive. Our Thanksgiving dinner was superb. Starters: Soup or salad. We tried the hearty vegetable soup and potato cheese. Both tasted very good. Fresh baked corn bread. Flaky and delicious. Entrees: Turkey, honey ham, or combo(w/both choices). I ordered the combo. The turkey was cooked to perfection. Very moist and tender. Ham was great with chipotle pineapple glaze. Sides: French green beans/baby carrots, mashed potatoes with gravy, cornbread stuffing, and sweet candied yams. Dessert: slice of apple or pumpkin pie Gobble…Gobble…Gobble. I am now in food coma. Leftovers for Black Friday! Thank you Marie’s for being open so we can enjoy a delicious holiday meal.

It’s what you’d expect from Marie Callender’s. Classic American food at a pretty good price. I especially like the open-faced turkey sandwich on the specials menu – mashed potatoes, stuffing, sourdough bread, cranberry sauce and turkey. It’s a lot of food. Honestly, I’d order this over the regular roast turkey dinner that is $ 6-$ 7 more. I’ve also had the chicken pot pie/salad combo which was good, but I felt that the pie could’ve used more chicken. But the combo does come with pie, which is always a good thing. Staff has usually been friendly and the experience, while not amazing, is always pleasant.

My wife and I have been going to this Marie Callender’s for over 10 years. The food is good and the Cherry pie is awesome. Kaila was our waitress tonight and she is awesome! Very friendly, great conversation, and she puts up with my bad jokes. We will continue going to this Marie’s and will ask for Kaila. Shout out to Oscar and Ceazar, both are very helpful.

Marie Callender’s has been a family tradition for a long time. The last time my kids got to ever have lunch with their great grandfather before he passed was at this location So I was incredibly amazed to hear what horrible service they provided to my parents today. My mom and dad were at this location with a friend having lunch when her hip popped out of joint. The waitress proceeded to berate them and claiming that someone of her age and infirmity shouldn’t be out at the restaurant in the first place, and that they refused to call 9−1−1 for her. For a brand whose major clientele demographic is senior citizens to treat one like this makes me wonder why they bother opening the doors.

Wonderful Sunday brunch! My favorite in the area. Really good omelette bar with a large variety of veggies; roast beef; waffles; salmon; and more. And of course pies for dessert, plus some other desserts. The most exceptional part is the staff. If it’s not too busy, the omelette bar guy will bring your omelette to your table. The staff has longevity — many have worked there for years and they’re very friendly.

Ordered a cheesecake on the phone and got a beyond frozen cake, heavy like a 5 lb bag a Tyson chicken nuggets. Of course we figured this out at home. They gave us a refund over the phone, but I’m sorry, Never Again. Had this been for the dinner party we’re going too, this would be beyond embarrassing and absolutely unacceptable.

My mother said, «Yuck! Marie Callender’s! No!» when we suggested Marie Callender’s for dinner but c’mon Marie Callender’s really isn’t all that bad and of course mommy never wins when it comes to restaurant choices so off we all went to Marie Callender’s for dinner! Obviously, you’re not expecting a gourmet foodie experience when you come here but it’s good for some all American dinner. Right now, they have a deal where you get a smaller portion of their chicken pot pie, caesar salad, and a slice of one of their dessert pies for only $ 9.99! Both my mom and I ended up ordering that. Our waitress was a super friendly gal and everything came out quickly. The caesar salad and pot pie were very good and satisfying but I mean even the frozen Marie Callender pot pies are delicious so how can you go wrong?! My stepdad got the fish, shrimp, and chips which he really liked although again it’s fried fish and french fries… how can you go wrong?! Marie Callender’s is really where you go for your simple guilty pleasures. Eat to your little heart’s content and then eat some more because of course you gotta get pie for dessert! Their pies are the best part and even though my mom is a restaurant snob and makes a face to Marie Callender’s, I’ve never seen her turn down a Marie Callender’s pie when me or my boyfriend or another guest brings one for a holiday dinner. So even though mommy said, «I can’t believe I’m eating at Marie Callender’s…», she left happy with a slice of apple pie and another slice of banana cream pie and all was well with the world. :)
