Established in 1969.

Mile Square Golf Course was built in 1969 with the Classic Course, adding another 18 holes in 2000 and expanding our clubhouse with a complete food and beverage offering. We also have one of the finest outdoor garden wedding sites.

We had our wedding here on May 29th, 2016. It was absolutely wonderful! Darla and Ana were the best! The wedding area is great, the reception room perfect and the food was very very good as well. This place is very reasonable as far as cost. You can shop around but this is value here. Thank you Darla and Ana and all your staff. You were both as good as it gets!

I play here almost every week with my dad, switching between players and classic every week. Greens are in great shape, open fairways, walkable and good pricing for twilight. There are rarely 5 somes during twilight so pace of play is not an issue. We’ve finished rounds during weekend twilight under 3.5 hours. $ 5 a bucket for the range, not bad; range has new mats (late 2015).

Played the Classic, impressed with course conditions and quality of greens. Public course that gets a Lot of traffic but they keep it in great shape IMO. Group of 5 in front of us made for slow play but that’s not unusual on any course in So Cal!
Maybe a bit pricey at $ 51 with cart, no Senior rate or 9 hole rate .
Snack bar/​café looked good, and starter was very friendly. Enjoyed the day there–

Wish I could give them 1 star. I called at 8:30 on a Sat night and was told that they’re open till 10pm and stop selling balls at 9pm. So I drive 20 minutes to get there and the Guy working in the shop (young Asian guy, wouldn’t give me his name) is locking the doors, and says to me «I’m closed» I said «I just called you and drove all the way here» he says «ya I answered the phone. We close at 9.» So I show him my iPhone saying 8:58pm. And he has the nerve to say to me «next time man.» What an unprofessional piece of shit. Tells me one thing in the phone and then does that? His word is worthless. I’ll never come back to this dump, and never should have come the first time.

I went to play at the course yesterday (Players Course, Veteran’s Day 2015) with a Navy veteran (actually, two Navy Vets in our group) and some other friends. One Navy vet asked if there was a discount available for veterans (as he was wearing his ship’s hat, a navy shirt, and had his military ID on him) and was informed by the worker there that they had no such discount. I think that this policy should be re-​examined. These veterans deserve our respect and honor everyday, but of all days, Veteran’s Day should be a day of reflection and appreciation for these courageous individuals. There should ABSOLUTELY be some recognition by your company for these men and women. I will not play here for the fact that on such a special day, your company did nothing to recognize one of many individuals who sacrificed much more than a mere discount for an afternoon of golf. Shame on you.

This has become the #1 worst golf course to play. Do your self a favor and play David L Baker u will have a much better time. The women’s tee boxes on every hole on the Classic are absolutely horrid so torn up from this FOOT GOLF. So I say golf elsewhere and let slow play, tore up course have its game the charge entirely to much money for a round to not have marshals that actually regulate the horrible slow play

I came back to be a golfer a few months ago after a year break. Since then, I happened to play every Friday starting with my neighbors and friend of them. We, foursome are just bogey golfers or even worse but we prefer the Players Course. The Players Course is way longer I felt than the Classic and need to pay even couple of bucks more. We just enjoyed flying Titlists and Callaways into the ponds and 4 on par 4s. It is a challenging course so that we got to be there this week as well for a rabbit-​eye tee-​off around 6 am. The only complaint for here was that some of greens need a shave for a bit faster one.

Avoid days when dennis is working unless you don’t mind getting yelled at for no reason. Hes not good at explaining foot golf, and has a huge issue with timing… finally drug it out of him that its supposed to be 5 – 7 minutes at each hole after he comes to b#ch that we are going too slow. .well, guess what? We didn’t see one person ahead or behind us all 18 holes… go to h##l!

Went to the range for a little Saturday morning exercise. It’s a neat little section, pretty much empty.
Mostly people came here to kill time before their game. If you see people suddenly leaving their bucket of golf balls, it’s probably because their name was called.
The range itself is pretty bare minimum, they have the 50, 70 and 140 markers. But there’s no shade, so bring a hat. Bathroom was pretty clean.

Played the Classic course for the first time on a Saturday, teed off mid-​morning. The course and facilities were in decent shape — greens ran smoothly, and the tee boxes well maintained, if a little sloped here and there.
However, my good experience stopped there. Although I do not expect a lightning-​fast pace of play, especially at a public course, and on a weekend with tournaments running; I do expect staff to monitor pace of play, and to motivate slow groups to speed up. My foursome had a fivesome ahead of us, and they played a hole behind the next group. I saw exactly one Marshall, and was told he was trying to speed the fivesome along — on the fifteenth hole. Not good.
Five and a half hours is a little much, even if it is a pretty course. Will try elsewhere next week.

We just had our daytime wedding at Mile Square golf course yesterday August 1st 2015. Eveything was perfect. The food was great and they were very accommodating and easy to work with. Darla and Ana were sweethearts. It’s a great place to have an event, all of our guest was very pleased and had a great time. The diffferent packages they offer is a very good deal. I ended up making my own centerpieces for a personal touch and it tuned out great. The gazebo was beautiful and doesn’t need very much decorations for it to look nice. There were lots of greenery. The only complaint I have is the bridal suite, wasn’t really a sweet. It’s basically just a changing room. So we got ready elsewhere. This is a good place to have a great wedding for a fraction of the price compare to other venues. Thanks for such a great wedding!!!

Played the Classic side on Thursday at 3:00 for $ 35 with cart. Had to escape the IE heat where played day before in 90° heat. It was a cool 84° with scattered clouds and you can feel a slight ocean breeze. The front nine we had to wait a bit on each hole then it picked up the last 5 holes.
Not too many places to lose golf balls. Course is pretty wide open and not too difficult for crappy players like myself. A few water hazards but not ridiculous. One of the water hazards was dried out. They have 3 short par 3 holes from about 150+ out.
The only negative for me was that the greens did not seem well maintained. Lots of bumps and divot marks (please repair marks). Overall, the course is great and it is a step up from David L. Baker with space and flow of traffic on course.
Staff was friendly as well. The pro shop had decent prices. I needed a new glove and thought it was going to be overpriced. Not at all, same price I would have paid at Target. Have a great round.

Played 18 over the past weekend and for my first time on the course, I was impressed with the layout and condition. While this is a municipal, the pace was normal and our foursome played in four hours (give or take 10 minutes) with a stop at the turn. The course was adequately challenging with bunker layouts and water hazards. Be sure to watch out for wildlife as we had a coyote «groupie» follow us for about six holes.

FOOT GOLF REVIEW.
That’s right. Foot golf. So they have an area of the course where you play with soccer balls and try to get it in a soccer ball size hole. So it’s like soccer. And golf. Foot golf.
I was expecting it to be a sort of small area. hahahaha, no! Get ready for a workout! 18 holes and the holes take over a large area. They are running a groupon right now for $ 55 for foot golf for four with a hot dog and beverage included. They don’t tell you that soccer ball rental is $ 5 each or you can BYOB (balls).

Make a reservation. Play times are after 4pm only.
This was super fun and I would totally do it again. It’s sort of sketchy though having to share the course with actual golfers. Be on the lookout.

Played here yesterday, the course I thought was on par for the price $ 52 on a Saturday at 9:45am. The pace of play in the beginning was slow but it spaced out after a few holes. I have played Costa Mesa country club a few times and it is basically the same price, I would play miles square of Costa Mesa country club any day. Maybe if cmcc got rid of 5somes it wouldn’t take 6.5 hours to play a round.

I have played this course several time, and today was the WORST play ever! It took us (4) hours to play (9) holes! Tournament, but NO Marshall control, at times the foursome in front was (2) holes behind!

Three months ago, I received a wedding invitation and was told that it’s going to be taken place at Mile Square Park. I instantly thought, GHETTO! But upon my arrivals, it was everything, but ghetto! It was fabulous! Uniform white chairs and white carpet with white rose petals for the bride to walk down the aisle. It was really magical. The wedding ceremony was surrounded by nice green bushes to create walls so outside can’t see in and to give it a nice intimate setting. It also made a nice backdrop for picture opportunities. Well groomed lawn. My only issue was that I wore high heels and my heels kept sinking into the grass, which was annoying. Overall, this is a nice place for weddings and would recommend it to others when searching for a wedding venue and on a budget.

Both golf course are legit. The GM who runs the Food service there is a complete idiot… I will never purchase another thing from them again. So, after spending $ 96.00 for 24 beers for the the group and a $ 3.00 soda for me… I asked the lady at the snack bar window if she can fill my cup up with ice and water. She said she has to charge $ 1.00 for the refill… of ice and water… ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME. I just spent $ 100.00 dollars and you want charge me for Ice… F@*% Y&U!!! I didn’t say that off course but, my GOD!!! Screw You Mr. General Manager… you are greedy and way over priced. Me la Peylas!!!

I am glad I had a chance to come here, thanks to my client. I came back on the second day to play 18 holes with her. Boy, she’s an expert, and I couldn’t keep up with her.:(I am basically an amateur. Its a beautiful course. Never thought how nice it was until I step inside. The funny thing is that I live pretty close by. I know I can’t compare this to the Pelican Hills but since its so close to where I live, I can’t complain. The course was well taken care. I like the layout of this course pretty old school. Lots of trees lined the course, great for a hot day for shades. The restrooms are quite clean. Plenty of parking and easy access to the main street which is Warner Ave. Well, this is only my second day, and I am sure I will have more review as I get to know this place better. Not bad for a public course.
By-​the-​way, I landed a pretty good size budget to design my client’s house in Huntington Beach:)
