Power of Leverage Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

I’m a older sister of 3 brothers and all 3 of them train here. Professor kelly is a great teacher and role model. They are 12, 17 and 23 they all change so positively. They all became more confident especially the 12 year old. With us moving this past month and starting 8^th grade at a new school next August he knows that he will be fine because power of leverage is a second home to him with great people. Best decision my parents made signing them with kelly and his school.

We have been going to power of leverage for 7 months now and I have nothing but good things to say. Professor Kelly and all of the coaches really care and love the kids. Scarlett has already learned so much already about jujitsu and life skills. I love the family and community we have found here.

My 8 year old son had asked to go into some type of martial arts class for some time, but I couldn’t find an affordable QUALITY studio. I ran into this one here on Unilocal and went for a trial based on their 5 star review… I have not been disappointed.
My son has been going for a few months now and absolutely loves it. I value the instructor and his wife’s dedication and nurturing approach, while challenging the children. They are both very friendly, seem to genuinely care about the kids, and my son’s self esteem has noticeably gone up. Even the location is conveniently in a center with a nail spa, diner, coffee shop, and a gym where you can work out while your little one works out. Love that I can knock out errands sometimes while I wait on him. He always come out happy… and very hungry lol

A mom recommended Power of Leverage to me and I just recommended to another mom yesterday! My son instantly jumped in on the «trial» day because he recognized his classmates from pre-​school, but got timid in the 2^nd class when they weren’t there, but we’re looking forward to bringing him back. We’re committed now since we bought the «gi»! That’s kind of pricey, but hopefully, an investment. Great small and big kids jiu jitsu group.

Professor Kelly is truly an amazing person! He is extremely patient with all his kids and I can tell he really loves what he does. My 4 yr old loves his classes and always leaves the class talking about how fun it was and how he can’t wait to go to the next class. We also liked the discipline and how all the other kids in the class are always looking after each other to make sure everyone knows what they are doing. This Place is GREAT. We were introduced by a neighborhood friend. She 10 was hooked and couldn’t stop talking and sharing what se was learning at the Jiu Jitsu studio and invited our kids to come and train with her. After the first day both my 8G and 10B year old kids were hooked. Not only is the instructor professor Kelly is great with the kids but he has all of the kids with more experience trained to welcome and help the newer kids. What A great place. The kids get knowledge of the art of Jiu Jitsu as well as a great workout. My kids have been working out five days a week at the studio as well as practicing at home what they have learned. They do train adults as well. Thanks to everybody involved in putting together such a wonderful program.

I was referred to try this place by a colleague last week. I tried the women’s class that takes place every Saturday. The class was great and taught me some great self defense tips as well as some life lessons (patience). Being a petite female Realtor, this was definitely relevant to use in the near future if an issue ever arose while working alone. Not to mention, Coach Kelly was excellent in explaining the moves and comparing it to real life situations to help me better understand it and keep my interest sparked. The women there were so welcoming and strived to give me tips to help learn quickly and effectively. After all, the quicker we learn, the more moves we can go through during each class. In a nutshell, this place is family friendly, for all ages, and for all levels whether you’re a beginner or a pro. Coach Kelly is great at getting everyone comfortable and ready to train.

power of leverage bjj is an amazing place. I started about 4 months ago and I’m hooked. I am a very busy person but going to classes here have helped me become less stressed. This place has become a second home for me. It’s very clean, very nice people and the jiu-​jitsu is world class. This is a Great place to begin the lifelong journey of jiu-​jistu. Sass !

I checked out a few gyms before The Power of Leverage & this one really stuck out to me. Coach Kelly is great & works one on one with all the students. It has a close family feel. Great for kids & new comers. Students are very friendly & helpful with one another & work as a team :)

I highly recommend Power of Leverage. I signed my 7 year old son up when the school first opened and it is the first sport that has really kept his interest. Not only is it teaching him how to defend himself but important life lessons– respect, patients, team work, encouragement, and I could go on about the great benefits. Coach Kelly is so amazing and really has a love for teaching his students this skill set. He also offers classes for adults that are just as great. Power of Leverage has been amazing. After trying out so many different sports and activities for my son we have finally found something he loves. Coach Kelly works wonders with the kids. My son is learning so much. He can’t wait to go to practice. Which they have classes six days a week so we have been going a lot. Wonderful environment for the kids to learn learn. I train at the Power of Leverage several nights during the week and on weekend mornings. I’m 30 years old and over the past several years, Jiu Jitsu has given me more self confidence, increased my focus in my professional life, and has made me a better husband.

I have wanted to do Jiu Jitsu for over fifteen years, since I watched my first PRIDE fight. I always had a fear that being new I would get beat up and hurt.
My wife met Coach Kelly at our children’s school last year. She told me about him and the conversation they had about the school he was opening. We decided to have our three children ages 9(F) 7(M) 5(F) try classes. I was impressed with Coach Kellys teaching style. He is patient, focused, and works hard. The entire class loves him. The children have fun while getting exercise. Most important they are learning a skill that can save their lives. As a father to two beautiful girls it gives me peace that my daughters already know how to defend and protect themselves, if need be. My son has taken to Jiu Jitsu like no other sport he has tried. He can lack focus at times and I see that he gains more with everything he learns. I catch my children doing hip escapes and bridges while watching TV, that should say it all.
After seeing the environment Coach Kelly provides I knew I was finally going to try. This week I took my first two classes and wish I hadn’t wasted fifteen years. The team aspect is something I did not expect and I liked very much. Everyone is there to help each other learn and get better. They all taught me something and were happy to do so. I felt a part of at the end of the night. I’m excited to continue to train here. My family is blessed to have Coach Kelly training us.

Power of Leverage Jiu Jitsu is such an inviting environment to train in. The gym looks very clean and organized and Coach Kelly welcomes anyone new with open arms. The way Coach Kelly teaches his students is very admirable. Coach Kelly teaches all students respect which is a very huge part in life. I’ve been following Coach Kelly for two years now and glad he opened his own school. He’s great with kids and his Sunday class is the best. You learn great drills and it’s such a great workout.

Power of Leverage Brizilian Jiu Jitsu is a place that i highly recommend. My son is 4 years old he was just diagnosed with autism a few weeks ago. I bring him to therapy around here and i saw the school of Power of Leverage.
We walk in that day and where offered a free class. My son loved it and ask me all week to comeback. Coach Kelly is awesome with the kids. He is a great teacher and is really patiene with my son and the rest of the students.
Coach Kelly also goes above and beyond to make his students feel great. Today many students were getting their Gi (uniform) and my son was crying because he didn’t get a Gi because their wasnt one his size, so coach kelly let him borrow a Gi he had that is my son size to use for tomorrow’s class. That put a huge smile in my son’s face.

Power of leverage is a place that make you feel like your family. I have been to other places that just want your money and smell dirty. Power of leverage is a very clean place and it doesn’t smell like sweat and dirty it smells clean. I have recommended this place to my friends and family. My brother a thirteen year old came to try it out today and stayed and now he is part of the team. He is being bullied at school. When class ended here at Power of Leverage. He told me he felt safe.
