The food is terrific, the price is terrific, the seating is terrific, inside or outside. Oh yeah, the carrot cake is terrific.

Today I had a big disappointment, at one of my favorite restaurants, they put extra ingredient on the food that maybe people won’t like There is a roasted fly on my salad. Of course I didn’t find it till I was half done!!!

SO rude. I rarely ever give negative reviews. I called, so excited for a hearty tri-​tip individual meal for dinner. I frequented (PAST tense moving forward) this location frequently. Called in to ask if they have curb-​side delivery. Tom, who answered and sounded like a surfer boy, didn’t understand the concept of curbside delivery, so I explained. I just got put into a cast at the podiastrist and was hungry, so that’s why I was asking if they have that service. I said I can give him my credit card info and tip them well. its just a struggle for me to come out with my crutches and all… and he had the audacity to shoot back with a snarky remark saying «well that it would be a HASSLE for us to exit the restaurant» to give me my food. I was BLOWN away of how rude that was. I used to be a loyal customer, but never again. I hung up very disgruntled. Left a sour taste in my mouth!

Their salmon or chicken the garlic lemon sauce is to DIE FOR. I literally drool over the dishes and highly recommend them! They have an assortment of pastas and pizza as well. The pasta dishes are sharable sizes. The bread sticks is no olive garden sticks they are 9 348 203 842 390 times better! I usually get a garlic/​cheese mash or beans on the side. I have also had their ribs and tri tips here but it is a hit or miss sometimes they can be drying.
YOU MUST HAVE THEIR CARROT CAKE for dessert. I am VERY PICKY about carrot cake and the cake here is SO MOIST and the frosting is perfect!!!

Haven’t been here in a few years and we were in the area so we stopped for lunch. All the food was still amazing and would of given the place 5 stars if they had not forgotten our cauliflower.

If you like dead ladybugs in your food, then this is place for you…
Manager was very apologetic about the incident, and offered to give my table dessert or to take the item off our bill. I appreciate the intention, but things like this should NEVER happen.

I am remiss that it took me so long to get in your good graces. I wish we had met much, much sooner as I can only imagine how different my life would have turned out. LOL… but seriously, I have truly missed out.
This place has such incredible food… im on a major food high after my experience with their food and I hope to keep them in my ongoing rotation.
Overall; I must simply say «WOW»…just about everything was simply amazing! Flavorful, unique, home made, quality seasonings and offerings
Food Highlights:
Tri tip — especially the bque sauce
Carrot Cake — so moist, so tasty, so wonderful!
Pesto Rigatoni — a creamier, more flavorful pesto I have not had ever!
Salad — home made delicious Ranch dressing
Potatoes — incredible!!!

Had a wonderful experience here! The food was excellent and quickly served!
I had order the chicken Caesar with chicken, petite size, I must say it was a pretty good portion, not so petite lol I also ordered the margarita pizza and my oh my I’m glad i did, that was the best flavorful pizza I’ve had in awhile. Definitely a must try!
My husband ordered the tri tip, medium rare with a side of mash potatoes which were very tasty, it also came with 2 bread sticks which were good but that tri tip was cooked to perfection, had a great smoked flavor. Hubby and I really enjoyed our meals and we will definitely be back.

Line is usually packed, nothing new really. Food is really good here. I recommend getting the BBq ribs and/​or pizza. They are too die for. The juiciest thing you will ever eat here. Indoor is such a warm environment and every employee makes you feel like you’re family. Very accommodating here. Highly recommend.

The service is always great, the prices are even better, and the food is fantastic.
Their lemon garlic chicken is to DIE for — so tender and the perfect amount of lemon and garlic, not too overpowering!
Their tri tip is also to die for — tender, juicy, full of flavor!
My go-​to item is their BBQ Chopped Salad with tri-​tip. This salad comes with corn, black beans, tomatoes, cilantro, cabbage, carrots, cheese, scallions and tortilla strips — the dressing that comes with it is ranch and bbq sauce. I can probably eat this salad everyday!
Its so pretty inside and very clean! Eat outside at night, its even prettier!

Not gonna lie, it twas an awkward experience. The people were insanely nice and overall helpful but personally this really isn’t my type of place. It’s kind of like a Sizzler meets Applebees in a sense if you dig that and something I would classify as a cheap date.
I ordered the taste of Stonefire which is a variety plate with their tri tip, chicken, and ribs; not impressed, the portion was kind of small too. It came with a side or a salad so I got the caesar which was kind of bland due to lack of dressing. I also ordered the tortilla soup which was watery. ALSO THE BREADSTICKS, from all the reviews I was anticipating for the bread sticks to be good but it was very heavy in the sense that it wasn’t so much fluffy but rather dense. Overall, pretty mediocre, it’s like eating at a friends house where you get all the utensils and such yourself and they bring you the food.

The fact that Stonefire grill smokes most, if not all of their meats is awesome. It smells so good in here! I only came here for takeout this time but I’ll have to come back for the sit down experience.
I heard about the chicken dinner special from a friend, but what he didn’t say is that you need to get there early. Real early! It’s only 4:50 pm and they’re already totally sold out of the special. Dang! Apparently it’s like this everyday! I guess it must be good!
I ended up getting a whole chicken. Half bbq’d and half with garlic and lemon. They were both good but I favored the BBQ. The kind of BBQ that wasn’t completely slathered with BBQ sauce. It was good. I also ordered the roasted cauliflower. It wassss… just ok. The Cesar salad on the other hand was good and fresh.
I think that the real specially at this place are the smoked meats so I’ll have to come back to try those at a later date.

Not really blown away by the food here.
Both my salmon and my husbands tri tip were pretty small pieces considering we paid I think almost $ 20 per person.
The décor and atmosphere is also lacking, this location is pretty run down.
I did enjoy my salad and considering it was the small size, they really packed a ton in that bowl and I felt it was the best value.
The cauliflower, literally an entire head of cauliflower, was a fun side to share, though it was still a bit hard and not all of it could be eaten as the middle was still raw.
My son had the ribs, he enjoyed them, I didn’t think they had an authentic off the grill taste, seems like they are made in the oven.
Service was fine and our food came out quickly, might go back and try something else next time, so far no rush though.

Love so many things on the menu, especially the whole roasted cauliflower. Keen green salad, tortilla soup and the salmon.
The service is always quick, precise and full of smiley people.
I prefer take out because it’s usually a little noisy especially on the busy nights. That is they the four and not five stars.
But I do enjoy eating in when it’s slower.
I’ve been to four of the locations and consort T every time in food and service!
The staff is extremely friendly and always willing to help.
Restrooms exceptionally clean another BIG positive thing.

Pizza and salad is awesome here!
Small Tri tip salad and medium margarita pizza for 20 bucks is a good lunch for two ppl that won’t make you feel bloated

A+ for their breadsticks. Sometimes I would drive by just to buy a box of garlicky carbs to go.
My friends and I came here for dinner and shared the stimulus package (breadsticks, salad, pizza, tri-​tip — totally recommend for groups). Everything tasted good — lots of variety in each dish, very juicy and flavorful meat. But obviously, the thing I loved and ate the most was the breadsticks.

The wife and I were in the mood to try something different so we were driving down Brookhurst and saw Stonefire. We had low expectations for this place because we had never heard of it but it looked like a Sizzler or Chilies concept so we just went with the flow.
We walked in and the place was completely dead which is never a good sign. We walk up and the way this restaurant works is you order at the register and then they bring you your food and you get your own drinks.
Now since we had never been there we had no idea what was good or what to order so we just ordered a little of everything. Just kidding but we ordered a lot for 2 people.

When the food came out it looked really good. My wife did the honors with the first bite into the salad and if she likes it so will i. She says Oishii which mean tasty in Japanese. I tried some of the salad and it was delicious. We cleared the bowl. Sorry no left overs. (Sad face).
Then she took a bite of the Tri Tip and same thing just delicous. The food at this place was like fine dinning quality. They must have a chef back there because there is no way their is a bunch of short order cooks turnin out food this flavorful and good. I would compare their food to a Lucille BBQ only tastes better, closer and costs less. I think i found my new favorite spot.
Kyle was the cashier/​server who have us some good recomedations. Kyle did a great job and took care of us and we left super full and Happy.
Found out also they do catering which is aweome. This place rocks. Luv It.

I swear this salad had more items included on the menu, but whatever. I had the dressing on the side and only ended up needing 20% of it, so I suggest getting yours on the side too, or you’ll be eating a lot of extra calories! Yeah but no seriously, I didn’t get any avocado.
This petite was a bit pricey, just coming in at around $ 8USD. This says it serves one but I would say maybe 1.25 people. You get to pay up front then grab a table to eat, kind of buffet style without the buffet. Interesting idea, and a good one actually for larger groups of people. They cannot accommodate super large groups though, at this location. Most of the booths just fit the typical nuclear family + one or two.
I will say I was pretty impressed with this chain, I’m not sure if I would venture out of my way to come back though. I think there was also gift certificates at Costco but don’t quote me on it. There’s a patio but no dogs allowed according to other reviewers. The bathrooms were adequate size. They offer beer and wine but close at 10PM, so I would consider it a family restaurant.

Since, the stimulus package is so popular. I really think it should be on the menu. It was my first time here and was greeted with EXCELLENT customer service from BRYCE and KATHY :)
Kathy was very thorough and helpful with our ordering and gave clear details. Bryce assisted me with an add-​on so I didn’t have to wait so long just for a carrot cake. Overall, customer service was great. They deserve to be recognized.
Arrived with 4 people but the amount of things I wanted to try seriously can feed 6 – 7 normal people.
1. I ordered the stimulus package that included or what I picked in the package:
–Cesar salad– pretty good
–Tri tip meat (BBQ)
–8 pieces bread stick
–Pizza (sausage/​pineapple) — good medium size
2. ½ ¹⁄₂ pasta size small — I believe it was pesto and marinara
3. Mashed potatoes– medium
4. Chicken tortilla soup
4. Carrot cake. FULL!
(Hands down the highlight of my meal! Best carrot cake I’ve ever had)
The stars go to how perfectly the tri-​tip was cooked, excellent service, and wow… The carrot cake. Everything else was just okay to me. I would definitely continue to come here for those carrot cake. :)
Can’t wait to eat the remaining left over of the carrot cake!
