This discount store is so random! It’s as if home goods, big lots, jo ann, bed bath and beyond and Ross had a baby. Scored an $ 8 silicone baking sheet while waiting for my cvs prescription. Score! Seemed like there was one one employee in the entire store. It was pretty empty. Said employee want very familiar with what the store carried and what it didn’t. In fact, she didn’t know what aisle contained what lol. I would come here again if I were in the area and trying to kill time. Can’t imagine coming here to look for something in particular. It’s more of an «on a whim» type of place.

So– I stopped in to check out this store & merchandise, The store had lots of items that you can find at Ross/Tj/Marshall’s. Store seemed a little over priced & quality of the items seemed a little run down. I made a purchase of a small item, the clerk was horrible, she was rude and she rushed me away and her attitude was ridiculous. I will not return to that store again. I’ll have better luck at the other discount store that have employees that don’t mind doing the job there being paid to do…(I have no idea why this employee was so rude, I was in stock) …(I’m very disappointed in the clearks works ethics) very sad…

I tried Tuesday Morning(which, BTW, all the Cali locations are not cited on the corporate website) based on a friend’s recommendation. Well, the prices are not quiet as good as I was expecting, at least not at this location. I have heard better things about their Cypress venue( ). A friend got me several Himalayan Salt Lamps(elsewhere about $ 35) in Cypress for about $ 15. That’s the kind of deal I expect from TUESAM. You might want to venture over to that store location. It looks like the deals and merchandise varies tremendously by location. Still, a very good franchise. Take a look at a few of them to see which one has the best deals on the stuff that is interesting for you. I’m looking and expecting great deals at about a 50% mark down. Look in the back of the store for these. Most of the rest of the merchandise still runs too high to be worth it.

Great service… always ask for a break if the merchandise is damaged… you save a lot

I love the merchandise at Tuesday Morning but I hate the employees and the manager. I never have good experience at the check out. They are always slow and there is always one checker attending customers. My worse experience was recently. There were two customers ahead of me. The elderly cashier was helping a customer that brought up some merchandise that were missing some items. The cashier called the manager up to show her the merchandise and to help out at the register. The manager took care of the couple standing in front of me. The first customer was still being taken care of when the couple in front of me were finished and left. The manager left without taking me and was mentioning to the cashier that the truck was there and she was stocking out on the floor. I told the manager«excuse me!». «The truck can wait, customers can’t!». She still didn’t take me. I was still waiting for the elderly cashier to finish the first customer.

When in the area, there are three great discount stores to hit up: Tuesday Morning, Grocery Outlet and Big Lots(down the street). There are some great deals at Tuesday Morning and the prices are pretty good on home goods. You can also find books, some beauty items, tote bags, sunglasses. It’s not dollar store dirt cheap but you can get some good deals. The only thing I take issue with here is their choice of piped in music. This is coming from someone who actually ENJOYS the corny music typically played at your local drugstore. Makes me feel like I am living in a Napoleon Dynamite world. Guessing that TM subscribes to a discounted Muzak station called… Your Grandma’s Favorite Moments. That’s just a guess but I was definitely having a grandma moment. What was the alternative music, the opposite of rock, that older people were listening to in, like, 1968? Yeah that.

Looking for bargains on pretty much anything? Head to Tuesday Morning. They carry loads of out of season or discontinued items, all at drop yo’ draws pricing. I usually check in here when I’m in need of items for the kitchen. I had a cheapy Turkey Roaster that I’ve been using for the last few years and after roasting a 20 pounder for Christmas, I just didn’t feel like cleaning it again. Besides the non-stick coating in the pan was getting seriously scuffed(my excuse to toss it I suppose), so I walked in to Tuesday Morning, found a nice fancy schmancy Kitchen Aid branded roaster(MSRP $ 60) for $ 20. Score!
