Our goal is to bring you the very best globally inspired dishes utilizing only the freshest ingredients. We want your first step into Tastings to transport you to that favorite vineyard or winery in your mind and to fully engage all of your senses. Tastings is intended to be a place that you can come back to again and again with each experience different from the last. The marriage of wine and food is a beautiful thing and we want you to experience the best of those pairings in a relaxed, non-pretentious environment with your friends and family. Our food, wine and cocktail offerings are designed to facilitate sharing so you can try new foods, drinks and flavor combinations that will broaden your culinary horizons.
History
Established in 2008.
Tastings was opened in September 2008 and reflects the collective passion of it’s owners and chef for creative cuisine and great wines from all over the world. Tastings is an expression of our favorite wine country experiences from our travels to wine regions throughout the U.S., France, Germany, Italy, South America and more.
Meet the Manager
Benjamin L.
Manager
Executive Chef Benjamin Lacy is a fully engaged culinarian who’s diverse cooking talents and passion for food is what inspires the new menu creations and special event dinners at Tastings Wine Bar and Bistro. He is intensely involved in the preparation, presentation and flavor array of all of his dishes. Among his specialties are varied selections of charcuteries, smoked meats, pastas and braises. His favorite meals to prepare and enjoy are hearty comfort foods like stews, cassoulets, and roasts.
Chef Ben promotes the use of locally grown farm fresh ingredients to deliver a premium dining experience reflecting the fresh flavors of New England. He participates in Massachusetts and Rhode Island sustainable food co-ops and locally sources the restaurant’s organic produce, eggs and poultry. He honed his craft as Sous Chef at Sel de la Terre in Natick and more recently as Executive Sous Chef at Union Bar and Grill in Boston.
