DrinkMaster Bartending School of Framingham

Negative ten stars. I hate Drinkmaster. I inquired about the course. And subsequently, after meeting with crazy Jason, I felt uncomfortable about enrolling. Jason is the CEO, his Drinkmaster class is a sham, deceitful, and lies. After taking a tour of the hole in the wall in Framingham, I received zero follow up, encouragement and sales pitch. Jason’s staff are drunks, and his teachers are unexistent.
The placement assistance is a gimmick. I surmise Jason serving up the runaround concerning the placement assistance just like after his «hi» to his sham class inquirys. Jason was unreachable after my «hi» meeting in person. Jason is an absentee owner. His website advertises his school won lots of awards although the award it lacks is a recognition concerning a Better Business Bureau award.
Jason, go back to South Boston.

Took the weekend long bartending course. Jeff and the gang are awesome. Very professional and knowledgeable.

I took this course a few weeks ago, and I have to say this is «the real deal» for anyone who wants to get their foot in the door and explore the world of professional bartending. This isn’t just a mixology course; they teach you how to get a job & work in the industry, how to take care of customers, how to run a bar, and how to think on your feet while working with other bartenders, by simulating true-​to-​life behind-​the-​bar situations. It was the most intense week of learning in my life, and also one of the most fun ever; but I can honestly say I now feel more comfortable behind a bar than I do in front of one, and that’s really something.
This is worth full price any day, let alone the specials & discounts they sometimes have. If you are thinking, «Maybe…», then just DO it. You won’t be sorry! Cheers!

Drinkmaster is awesome!
I just took the week-​long evening class. Honestly, you get what you put into it. There’s a lot of material, but if you’re excited about mixing up different drinks, by the end of the week I was amazed at how much I learned and how much more comfortable I got with it. Memorize and Practice. that is key!
The staff is great! Krista, Jeff, Doug, and Corey. Everyone has their own styles, great personalities, definitely kept me intrigued. The variety is a plus. Both instruction and lots of hands on practice.
Definitely recommended!

I took the weekend class that lasts two weekends. Lord knows getting there at 11am on a Saturday/​Sunday was possibly the hardest part of the whole ordeal, not including Rt.9 traffic, but I can say I had a great time!
The classroom is set up as a working bar, with a sink, speed rack, soda gun, and a fully stocked bar. Granted all the alcohol is actually dyed water, but it got the point across either way.
I had Stacey and Dr. Fitz as instructors — both were good in their won way. Stacey was very much a no BS kinda gal, she tells you what’s up, some tricks, and what you can/​cannot do in MA. Dr. Fitz was downright hysterical.
During drink drills, (where we make fictitious drinks with colored water), they turn the lights down low and the music up! It gave an extra touch in terms of atmosphere.
I would do this course again in a heartbeat. It’s fun, informative, and hands-​on. You learn a lot not only of theory, but actually how to make the drinks. That, and they have unlimited refresher courses after you graduate.

I can’t say enough about this place.
I took the full 4 day bartending course and absolutely loved it. I have to be honest that I took the class more for fun than to learn to become a professional bartender. No matter if your goal is for to learn for fun or for a job I can’t imagine any place could better prepare you.
They teach you in the way that makes most sense, hands on. The classroom is actually a real bar. So it makes things really feel like your working an actual bar. You start with the basics and finish with a practical test where you have to make 15 or so different drinks that the instructor orders from you out of a total of like 40 or 50 that they teach you in the class. They also teach you a lot of history and general bar knowledge which I found fascinating.
The other really interesting aspect was all the first hand experiences and insights of the instructors. All the instructors were very experienced bartenders who were also great teachers. I found the stories and tips they gave to be the most valuable part of the class.
So if you want to be a bartender or are just really interested in cocktail culture I would highly recommend taking a course from them.
