History

Established in 2006.

Interim Furnishings was founded in 2006 by Sharon MacDonald, a former realtor who saw first-​hand how real estate staging helped her clients sell their homes quickly and for a higher profit. The business was created as a result of the strong need for exquisite furnishings on a temporary basis.

The business idea has proved to be an amazing success, as Interim Furnishings has provided short-​term furniture leases and sold fully furnished models throughout New England. Real Estate staging is here to stay and Interim Furnishings has become a pioneer in the luxury furniture leasing market. In 2012, Sharon decided it was time to continue Interim’s growth by offering custom Interior Design Services in addition to their Home Staging leasing programs. Now Interim is a one stop shop for all things furniture and design!

In regards to Home Staging…

We’ve all heard the old adage, «You never get a second chance to make a first impression.» Sharon MacDonald, a former Realtor and sales professional, has built a successful business on it.

«After spending a career in sales, in 2005, I decided that I wanted a new career and became a real estate agent. I did some staging with many of the million dollar properties I listed and learned about the importance of having high-​quality furniture in place to attract buyers.»

Thus, a business was born! Sharon knows that her success lies in the results she gets for her customers. «It works.»
