The car was clean, and the staff seemed friendly enough. However, considering the car was kind of a gas guzzler, and asking to extend my reservation from one week ($ 250ish) to 11 days meant an extra $ 464 (for 4 extra days? Really?) and then up to $ 600 extra to drop the car at the airport instead. I’d much rather use Enterprise in the future. At least they pick you up and drop you off!

The Story
I booked my reservation for a 16ft moving truck online — a month in advance of my moving date. I received a confirmation email from Budget, which said that I needed to call the Framingham Budget Rent a Car and confirm my reservation, 2 days before picking up the truck. Forty-​eight hours before moving, I called the office and was told that they might not have my truck and I should call back the next day. I called the next day and was told that they still couldn’t confirm that they would have the 16′ truck, but they ‘might’ have a 10ft truck available (apparently the 10ft costs the same as the 16ft truck). They said that they would call me back later that day to let me know if they’d have a truck. They never called. This was one day before moving! To make matters worse — the Framingham Budget staff were so unprofessional, unhelpful, and unfriendly. Particularly the man who appears to be the manager.
Moving day arrived and they didn’t have the truck, but they said that they would definitely have a 16ft later that week. I rearranged my plans (I’m lucky that I was able to), and moved out a couple of days later than originally planned. To add insult to injury — when I showed up to pick up the truck, the unfriendly Budget manager refused to honor my 20% off coupon. Apparently you can only use the coupon when you make the reservation online (the coupon makes no mention of this).
Skip Budget and rent from U-​Haul down the road.
