I measure the amount of time I’ve been seeing Dr. Austrager by the height of my children. When we first started coming to his office, my son Geoffrey was barely chest high to Howard and use to have a contests with his older sister to see who would have the fewest adjustments. Well those days are long gone and now Geoffrey, at six foot two, towers over Dr. Austrager but the care that he provided and continues to provide has made a lasting difference in our lives. In the years before I started seeing Dr. Austrager, I played tennis, often in some small measure of pain during and after the game but I just assumed that it was part of price I had to pay. I was so wrong. It took some time but I am thrilled to say I am pain free and continue to be because of his care. And because he has an advanced degree as a Neurological Chiropractor, and experience he has in this field, it was he who diagnosed me with an autoimmune disease that I am afflicted with and gave me the guidance and understanding of how to live with it. For that alone I am so very grateful to him. He will always be part of MY medical team… and I think he should be of anyone seeking chiropractic care.

Dr. Austrager is an excellent practitioner. I have been seeing him for almost a year now. I started with him while I was pregnant because as things shifted around with the weight gain and the hormones loosening everything up I wanted to make sure that I stayed in alignment. Plus, chiropractor care helps you have a faster and easier labor! I felt really good during my pregnancy and he even helped me with my neck and jaw issues. After the baby he was even helpful when my wrists would be bothering me from supporting the baby during nursing and supporting her head all the time. He even once gave me an adjustment while holding my baby who was getting fussy in her car seat! I have no neck pain anymore and continue to go to keep the body feeling good. I highly recommend Dr. Austrager.

He has helped me with nagging back pain as well as my wrists and I always feel fantastic leaving his office. Chiropractic care is a very valuable part of my self care seeing as I lead a very busy lifestyle. I would recommend Metrowest Wellness to anyone!

I first became aware of Dr. Austrager and MW Spine Clinic when my gf’s mother flew out to visit for the holiday. Unfortunately, she had a slipped disc, and her surgery was delayed until after the trip. Leading up to the trip, after some brainstorming, and a well timed living social deal, my gf booked three sessions w/​Dr. Austrager to help alleviate her pain. Obviously, a slipped disc is not something that can really be fixed without surgery, but Dr. Austrager was committed to helping her get through a tough week. And just like that, after each session, she would go from a wheelchair, to walking around, smiling, just for having just a little relief from perpetual pain.
And then she’d try to demonstrate how much better she felt by dancing.
Fun fact: chiropractors cannot prevent you from doing stupid things…
But regardless of her short-​lived relief, courtesy of her poor judgement, I already had a pretty good impression of MW Spine Clinic before ever walking through the door in person. Being the brilliant person that I am, I elected to ignore the lingering neck-​pain until I woke up one morning in so much pain, that I was unable to un-​tilt my head, or un-​hunch my shoulder. At that point, I went in, and despite needing an x-​ray for a firm diagnosis, Dr. Austrager agreed to begin treatment on the spot. By the time my x-​ray came back, I was already feeling heaps better after the treatment. I learned that I had Degenerative Neck Disorder Something-​or-​Another (true condition! I looked it up on Wikipedia, which is always accurate! [citation needed]), and would require regular maintenance.
Despite being a sub-​standard patient, I cannot say enough good things about the MW Spine Clinic. I’m always impressed by Dr. Austrager’s genuine compassion, and commitment to his patients. His staff has been very helpful in sorting out insurance items, and it’s never hard to get an appointment. I’m very grateful for all the help they’ve provided.

i’ve been a patient of dr. A. for about 2 – 3 years… i call him the «miracle doctor» b/​c i could hardly get out of bed when i first called him… found him on line… his method with the activator and the warm sand bags enabled me to walk again… i never thought the pain would be gone, but after regular visits, it was gone… now i go in when i need a tune up… always easy to get an appointment and a really nice guy… dorene g.

I have been very happy with our experience. I decided to try this place for my teen who suddenly started suffering from back pain. It only took a few treatments to address the situation and now we just go for maintenance. Dr. A’s personality is great — he’s collaborative with parents and really good with kids/​teens. If you are a fan of the activator method, this is a great place to come for treatments.

After I injured my back, I never thought I would experience life pain free. Dr. Austrager initially met with me to discuss my issues, patiently answering my questions. When I met Dr. Austrager I could barely walk, I was in constant pain and needed muscle relaxers and pain pills just to function. Within 3 weeks I was completely off the muscle relaxers and pain pills. It has been close to 3 months now and I am pain free.
At each office visit, I am warmly greeted by Elizabeth, the smiling, always helpful office assistant. No matter how busy Dr. Austrager is, he always makes me feel like he is focused on me and only me. Dr. Austrager uses non-​invasive techniques so there is no jerking, popping or cracking involved. I am not stiff afterwards nor am I sore the next morning. I cannot sing his praises loud enough.
