I couldn’t be happier with the glasses I just picked up at Optical View. The great Unilocal reviews led me to them, and I’m adding one of my own. Margie quickly narrowed down the styles of frames that would fit my face the best. She started with moderately priced frames and didn’t try to up-​sell at all; she was patient while my wife and looked at various options, then put in the order. My wife started trying on frames and ended up ordering some as well. I picked mine up yesterday and Karyn worked carefully to adjust them — they’re the most comfortable glasses I can remember wearing. Their customer service is outstanding.

They saved me from being the wrong Rx! A good selection and a good eye for what frames will flatter are nice (and they have both), but I’m now totally loyal because I almost got glasses that were too strong. I’d picked out frames, and we were about to order when she noticed that the change to my script was significant. She ran in the back to get some sample lenses. I couldn’t read! I went back to my doctor to confirm. She had to redo the script. If I’d ordered those lenses, I’d have spent a fortune (my lenses are pricey because they require fussy bits) on lenses I couldn’t use.
I’ve gotten two sets of glasses at Optical View, and I’m thrilled with the quality and styling of both. They have lasted the test of time. I highly recommend them.

We have been coming here for years! Karyn and the rest of the staff are always soooo helpful and knowledgable. The largest selection of designer all the way to lower end glasses are available. There is something for everyone… They are wonderful about insurance discounts too! Love it here!

When you get glasses here, they will fit and be just right the first time. The selection is very good, much better than the chain stores. Before I found this store, I assumed it took several return visits to get progressive lenses right– not true. If you like top fashion, glasses that work, and good service, try this!

YOUR GLASSES DEFINE YOUR FACE WHEN PEOPLE LOOK AT YOU. Because of this I was very picky. I was due for new frames and had trouble finding anything I’d actually wear since I’m on the line and can do everything but drive without my old ones. Everywhere I went seemed to have the exact same thing. Discovered this mecca of an eye-​wear shop while near shoppers world and was really impressed.
She was really friendly and no pressure or «upgrade them with this or that.»
Selection was higher end, classier, better quality, etc. Who has a new killer pair of Ray-​Ban eyeglasses that make them look twice as smart now… this guy!

Really great experience here. The Unilocal deal is awesome. The sales lady was super helpful and we found exactly what we needed. Would definitely come back in the future.

Best service in Metro West.

So I picked up my glasses on Monday. They were ready before the promised date. Once again, Karyn greeted me with a friendly smile and a warm welcome. She brought out my new glasses and they were so incredible. They fit perfectly and I was out of the store in a few minutes. Before I left, Karyn gave me cleaning cloths and a solution to clean my glasses along with advice on how to keep them looking brand new. Again, I appreciated the personal attention.
The next day at work I received so many compliments on my glasses. Wherever I go now, people are comenting on my new glasses. I must admit they are so different than anything I have ever seen but it is so funny to see the reaction from people.
I continue to say that I would only buy my glasses at Otical View. They are AMAZING!!!

When nice isn’t good enough… but high quality product and outstanding customer service are!
Shopping at Optical View makes me want to purchase new glasses more frequently. First, Optical View has the best selection around (and I went to SEE in Hvd Sq, some fancy-​schmancy place in Chestnut Hill, and about 3 other places before deciding to purchase). If you want really unique fun styles, or classic frames, this is the place to go. I was very torn between 2 pairs, and finally ended up with the coolest frames ever– orange and green, super-​funky. Meanwhile my husband’s taste is a little more reserved, and he upgraded from his wire-​rimmed to a more modern, but still conservative style.
Price: Optical View was consistent with other vendor’s pricing, however, they carry lines that are hard to come by in the chain stores like LensCrafters. OV gladly gave us a receipt to submit to VSP which got us $ 145 each back quickly and made our purchase of 2 pairs at the same time much more affordable.
Customer service: I have to say that so many places I shop these days have lost any sense of customer service. NOT so at Optical View. Karyn was fabulous and made sure that an accident within the first month that cracked my husband’s lense was covered by warranty. And when I couldn’t adjust to progressives, we worked out a plan to cover new lenses for me. She was all about options and asked what I wanted, rather than limiting my choices. And through it all, she was patient and clear on instructions and expectations about the new lense style.
We’ve referred many friends to Optical View in the past few months, and gladly promote Optical View’s product and services. It’s worth the drive if you are coming from Natick, Sudbury, Wellesley, Newton, or surrounding towns!
So, yes, Karyn is nice. Go say hello, and get quality glasses and great service, too.

This place is great. After visiting every eyeglasses store in the metro west and finding the same old boring frames we saw this place on route 9 and dropped in to check it out. Their selection was impressive and very «stylish» you could say. The woman who helped us was friendly and didn’t try to put any pressure on us to buy anything. It probably took two hours to make a decision (there’s a lot of choices) and I ended up getting a decent deal on a pair of prescription sunglasses. We will defiantly be going back.

Really disappointed by the high prices.
I purchased the Amazon/​LivingSocial deal ($ 50 for $ 225 toward prescription eyeglasses). I like my decade-​old top-​of-​the-​line pair of glasses that had cost around $ 300 with Flexon flexible titanium frames, progressive photochromic glass lenses, and anti-​reflactive coating. I expected that a good pair of glasses would still cost about $ 300, especially after seeing basic progressive glasses being advertised at two for $ 180 ($ 60 each).
When we arrived we looked at some flexible titanium (similar to Flexon) frames and all had very ‘short’ lenses (narrow top to bottom) and therefore not a good style on me. Had to move away from the flexible frames to find a style that I liked. Then I asked about the pricing. The polycarbonate photochromic progressive lenses with anti-​reflection coatings were $ 550! Adding to that the $ 150 for the frames brought the total to $ 700 so even with the $ 175 coupon it would come to $ 525 out-​of-​pocket. I decided not to go through with the purchase.
I think I will send my old frames off for new lenses. The online prices for new top-​of-​the-​line polycarbonate photochromic progressive lenses with anti-​reflection coatings seems to be about $ 250. Add to that the write-​off of the $ 50 coupon and I still save over $ 200. I think the prices at Optical View are a little out of line, at least with my expectations.

If you like realy interesting, stylish glasses, as my wife does, the Optical View is the place to go. Everywhere she goes (and I mean everywhere), people comment on her glasses. They have a huge range of styles and prices, and they are very nice.

Over the past 5 years I’ve bought 4 pairs of glasses and one pair of sunglasses. At each visit Karyn has been extremely knowledgeable in what looks good on me and what type of lenses I need. Not once did she push me towards anything that was either over my budget or necessary. Her customer service is one of the main reasons I keep coming back. The choices of frames is the other reason. I know that I am going to get the cutting edge fashion in glasses at a reasonable price. As for the quality of the frames — they are outstanding. I get constant complements on all of my glasses.
While there are a number of good glasses stores where I live, I specifically drive from the North Shore to Framingham to just to shop here for my glasses needs. I have not found any place near me that has the selection, price, and service parallel to what The Optical View provides.

I came here with a livingsocial deal and am very pleased with the results. There is a very wide range of prices/​quality of frames, and so many options. In fact, there are so many options that I was able to find an equivalent but cheaper version of the glasses I had initially picked out. My glasses AND lenses came out to just $ 35 with the coupon (so $ 85 total) and are fantastic!
The woman who works there is also very nice and helpful — I especially appreciated that even though she is losing money on some of the cheaper purchases (like mine — in which she only gets $ 60), she did not push or pressure me to pay more for add-​ons like the anti-​glare finish (which is apparently very nice but which I didn’t really have the extra money to pay for).
I think the review who is upset about having to pay $ 200+ is a little unreasonable considering $ 500 for a pair of prescription sunglasses doesn’t seem too out of the ordinary (you won’t really find polarized prescription lenses alone for under $ 250 anywhere). You can’t really get a livingsocial deal and expect it to pay for the entire purchase — especially with something like prescription glasses that often cost far more than $ 250 regardless of where you go.

I bought a livingsocial deal for the optical view. It seemed like an awesome deal at the time ($ 225 toward a pair of glasses for $ 50), but I went to pick out the glasses today and discovered that I had no such luck. I went in for sunglasses only to find out that they had no frames that fit me for less than $ 150 and that sunglasses lenses are $ 280 (for polarized lenses). I asked if they had other lens options and was told they did not. All in all, I ended up laying out $ 280 for my sunglasses– without the livingsocial deal they would have been $ 455. I feel completely mislead. Maybe I would have paid $ 280 for sunglasses at my regular eye dr, but the point of the deal was to try to save a little money, not to have to take a drive to a new place only to discover I would be completely overcharged. Honestly– who charges $ 280 for lenses alone?! Note that this was for a single prescription (no bifocals or anything fancy).
