I wanted not-chain food, something unique and tasty, and something between the Interstate and Buffalo Trace Distillery. For $ 5.71 I got a piece of fried fish, three fried shrimp, and fried okra. The shrimp tasted like shrimp(like good shrimp). The okra was tasty and fun to eat(thin fried crusts). And the fried fish was actually delicious — — nothing generic here — — it had dimension. They do really good business(with a fast food method), but it is a unique establishment. Although it is ‘fried’ stuff, you can tell that they have enough turnover, and solid standards, to yield quality, and make it a worthwhile stop — — even in an area where you would never think of having seafood.
