Red Mango

This was our first time trying red mango, and we loved it. So many choices, something for everyone, a great little treat. The owner Mitchell is very informative, and I like how he prides on educating his customers. We will defiantly be back to try more flavors or to grab a quick juice.

There is a new owner and this place is hopefully going to do well. Their hours are way better, they offer fresh juicing now as well. Cleaner and more friendly staff than before. I LOVE the berry power protein smoothie. If I had the money I would drink it 10 times a day. Even though it is not on the menu they will still make it for me and I am very grateful for that. The new owner is very personable and knowledgeable. Fingers crossed this location can make it.

Interesting an unique flavors. They’ve done great things to my taste buds and I love the toppings. I suggest that you should try it.

I had yogurt at red mango. Numerous flavors. Many toppings, my fave topping is the squishy red balls (when you bite into them the flavor squirts out)

Last few times we have eaten there, came home with a tummy ache/​sick. Daughter too. We had different flavors. Not sure what’s different, but we won’t be going back.

Had the best date ever with my two-​year old here a while back. So many flavors and toppings to choose from, and it was very clean and cozy. I’ll definitely be back!

Great atmosphere, awesome FroYo at an affordable price, close to home, what more do I need? Compared to other places, their prices are definitely in check, though if you start stackin’ you’ll be payin’. Just keep an eye on the kids and make sure the size of their eyes doesn’t eclipse the capacity of their bellies and you win! Some places are scaling back on sampling, but they’re pretty generous with it. We’ll be back!

I’m loving this new yogurt craze that seems to be popping up all over the SW burbs. This is my first visit to one of these places, and I am a fan and will be back!
You get your cup, fill it up with whatever yogurt flavors you want — mix and match. Go to the topping bar and load on whatever you want… weigh it (46 cents per ounce) and pay… enjoy!
There was probably 12 different flavors of yogurt. They had out tiny Dixie cups so you can sample, before you filled up your cup. There were signs on each of the yogurts with the calorie count and fat — very helpful.
The chocolate and raspberry sorbets were SOOOOO good! Love the concept, love the yogurt! I will be back!

So, it’s July. It’s barely 70 degrees out. I have a cold. Ugh. What will help this horrible scratch in my throat and improve my speaking abilities? Red Mango, of course!
I have never been to a Red Mango before. A new experience is always good, right?
The Good:
It’s new. There are cute comfy chairs in which to sit. And it’s quite spacious as far as the seating area goes.
They offer smoothies. But I couldn’t really figure out how that works. Do I fill a cup with yogurt? Do I ask at the counter? Do I make my own? I just don’t know!
The flavour variety is good. Plus you can twist any two flavours. But the chocolate and vanilla. For some reason, they aren’t at the same dispenser so no zebra. :(
The Bad:
The teenagers! It was about 1:30 on a Tuesday afternoon. They were all over the sample cups and trying every flavour. I’m not a jerk but they made it difficult for me to just grab a cup.
The pricing. Do they charge by the ounce? I don’t think so. How do you know which cup is which? I apparently grabbed a large cup thinking they charge by the ounce and it was the only one I could grab (thanks, entitled Frankfort teen girls!). There wasn’t a whole lot in it but I got charged $ 3.99 and it said «large cup» on the display. I was crabby so I didn’t raise a stink.
Come here when you have the patience to figure it out. I’m not disappointed as it tasted good. I was just a little confused by the experience.

Red Mango is my new BFF.
I was pregnant the first time I tried Red Mango. My hormones and taste buds were all sorts of cray cray and I erroneously thought that I didn’t like it. WHAT!!! Thankfully I gave it a second try because now I am obsessed with their probiotic goodness.
I have tried so many flavors and just as soon as I think I have tried them all, they rotate and there is something new to sample. Sometimes I am in the mood for the tart and tangy and other times the smooth and creamy flavors call to me. I usually top it off with some mochi and boba and then hold my breath as they weigh my concoction. I can’t really exercise any restraint yet, so it is usually pretty high. The good news is that I have a Club Mango card and this just means that I am going to earn rewards at a faster pace.

Hmmm, for a new location I certainly expected a better experience. The toppings and flavors were all great, the problem was the sheer lack of proper and/​or adequate customer service. It appeared as though this location was operated by a group of high school girls… plus 20 of their friends. The place is small enough inside, but half of it was consumed by backpacks, school books, and notebooks scattered about two tables (including the floor). I’m sorry, but that’s so unprofessional and rude to other paying customers. There were also a large group of girls standing in front of the ‘froyo flavor bar’… Very annoying.
If I venture that way again I may pay this place another visit, it’s hard to say no to Red Mango.

I am not a big yogurt fan but I am a huge smoothie fan and I really enjoy the smoothies from here as they are very low in sugars and calories. They are not sweetened with sugar which is so much better tasting and better for you.
I just wish I could order my smoothie when the rest of my party gets in line rather than when we are paying. They won’t let you order a smoothie until you are paying so I am always out of sync with all the froyo eaters.
First world problems, I know.

Two words describe one of the best things in the world. FREE SAMPLES!!! At Red Mango you can have all the free samples you want. There are a lot of toppings to put on the frozen stuff. They have these little balls (the size of a blueberry) filled with different flavors that explode in your mouth when you bite into them. They also have all the usual toppings like fruit and candy. You weigh your cup to determine how much it will cost. I took the familia here and it was 35.00. Its a little pricey but worth it.

I had checked out Red Mango in a different location, and was completely impressed with how amazing their frozen yogurt is. So when I was in Frankfort, I was excited to see a new one had opened up.
The best part about Red Mango is that even if you’re watching your calories, they have some low cal options. I had a dark chocolate & raspberry skinny sorbetto swirl and it definitely did not taste «skinny!» Also, I like that they have fresh fruit as toppings, as well as the not so healthy stuff.
The worst part? It’s way too close to me!

A couple of years ago, Frankfort had a small strip mall with a jewelry store, a mattress store and a paper goods stores. None of the three survived. We now have a super busy Chipotle, a humming Meatheads and a place for dessert, all across from an always successful Panera. Choices!
Frankfort needed a froyo place and since Red Mango is one of my favorites, I was very glad to see it pop up in our restaurant row. It hasn’t been open for very long but they seem to really have their act together. This whole area was hopping because Chipotle had buy one get one free burritos for teachers and apparently every teacher in the Chicago area came to Frankfort.
Red Mango handled the crowds, greeted us upon arrival, got my husband’s smoothie really quickly and did it all with a smile.
Plus dessert that is good for you? Isn’t that against the law or something? I had white peach and blueberry with fruit on it and it was superb.
I hope they keep up the high level of service because I want, no I NEED, lots of dessert that is good for me!
