History

Established in 1913.

1913: J.S. Paluch Company began as Merchants Press located in Chicago, IL

1936: Business expands from printing religious material and certificates for Catholic parishes to printing devotional pamphlets and other church resources

1952: Company begins expanding services outside Chicagoland and with an increase in parish bulletin printing, moving to a new and larger facility was necessary

1955: Founder John S. Paluch dies on June 6, 1955

1965: Following the Second Vatican Council, the first «Monthly Missalette» was published.

1967: With new liturgical guidelines from Vatican II, J.S. Paluch holds a country-​wide search for a new sung Mass that will provided ease of singing for the new Monthly Missal

1971: Expanding the Company’s musical selection, Paluch purchased World Library of Sacred Music from Cincinnati. Now World Library Publications, it is the music and liturgy division of J.S. Paluch that publishes liturgical music and other resources used world wide.
