This place is just heaven. It’s so rare to find a good quality deli nowadays, so when I find one I’m just thrilled. The baked items were amazing! The staff was so polite, which is rare to find in New York (maybe because I’m from the city) Will be coming here frequently

My family loves this place. Been coming here since 1990 when we moved to the area. There’s truly something here for everyone’s taste, from Rotisserie chicken meals to homemade packaged meals, to homemade pies and everything in between! Try the cookies and cream pie, it’s off the charts!

Stopped by this evening to grab some sides because we were BBQing. I got 2 different kinds of pasta salad and an order of meatballs. Food was good, not great but good. I will go there again. They had a huge prepared salad selection I want to try and many prepared meals I want to try when I don’t feel like cooking. The cashier who helped me was very nice, asked me how I was, and thanked me. Parking lot is spacious.

This review pertains to the deli section. The deli section is found at the back of the store. It seems to be entirely separate from the other catering area which is on the left. There is a tremendous difference between the two. Let me warn anyone who plans to get corned beef and cabbage for St. Patrick’s Day to go elsewhere. It is the absolute worst I have ever tried. The service is poor and the food is tasteless, stringy and fatty.

1st time buying a pie from them in request of my in laws saying they’re so good, I ordered a pumpkin pie (the sticker said outside the box) for thanks giving and they have them boxed already and left, to the surprise of everybody when is time to eat dessert on thanksgiving night we all found out it wasn’t pumpkin but coconut custard… I was so pissed off and everybody was waiting to have the pumpkin pie my family wanted. Seriously … 1st and last time i give them my business

I’ve been going here since I was a kid and have always been satisfied, but this review is for today’s food only. Stopped in and picked up a hot pastrami on rye for dinner. Mouth was watering all the way home only to be extremely disappointed. It had more strings than a piano! It was tough and extremely salty (even for pastrami). I think from now on I’ll stick with the hot meals and salads which have always been great. :(

The staff are always friendly and ready to take your order.
They also have a bakery where I discovered their Chocolate and Cheese Horseshoe. It is heavenly!

I am a huge fan of Valley Caterers. The food is always fresh, they have a great variety and the staff is awesome. My boyfriend is a HUGE fan of their stuffed chicken breast. I enjoy their crabcakes and their potato pancakes. Mac and Cheese is delicious!

I like Valley Caterers because of their convenience and selection. Their food is ok, not fabulous. It’s been there for quite some time so they are obviously doing things right. I think the store can use a facelift especially when compared to Uncle Giuseppe’s or Iavarrone Brothers, which to me is a bigger player in the same game. But their prices are fair and their staff is very friendly. Oh, almost forgot, I love their pizza «eggrolls» and don’t really know why… their just plain good!

food is always delicious. I love the fact that you can make your own salad and it’s not a small salad either. I couldn’t finish it all! came out to about $ 8 because I added chicken. My bf orders burgers with fries and coleslaw. That’s delicious as well. They have a nice selection of already made foods and you can have them heat it up for you. The desserts are delicious. I had a slice of raspberry cheesecake and that was really good. Everyone is always very friendly and helpful. I haven’t tried their chicken or bbq foods yet but next time!
They also have coffee and a bakery section which they sell whole pies and other deserts.

Not bad at all. I’ve seen them from the road many times, but never did stop in. I’m glad I did.
Stopped in yesterday to have a Texas Melt on a hero and that freaking sammich was huge! Very good too!
Stopped in today to order a beef brisket sammich and that was freaking good too!
Both sammiches were flavorful, but I preferred the brisket over the melt because they drenched the meat in the juices from the pan than stuck it on a garlic roll with mozzarella cheese melted in it.
It’s not a cheap place, yet it’s not an expensive place either. The inside of the store is no frills grocery store, but it definitely looks like their deli is the main source of income.
Good job guys and I will probably be calling on them for their catering.

I’ve been coming here all of my life… since the 80’s. The food here has always been great & it doesn’t matter what you get: sandwiches, pies, ribs, or pizza rolls. They have expanded over the years & are very popular in the summer & around the holidays. I have never been disappointed after a visit to Valley Caterers… long live the pizza rolls!

Several people recommended this deli to me. I needed to send a platter for a shiva call and was not familiar with the area. They charged $ 15 for delivery! I would not recommend them for any deliveries. Food is good but if you cant pick up go somewhere else!!!

Valley Caterers is a one stop shop of good quality food. They have a huge parking lot, lots of help, and an extensive menu. Their deli is well stocked with tons of cold cuts and salads.
The rotisserie chicken that’s prominent in their front window is succulent and delicious. You can ask them to quarter it or cut it into eight pieces. Match that with some of their homemade corn bread and a side dish and you’ve got a delicious meal to go!
They do a steady business in their bakery. Breads, cakes, pies, and pastries are all very good. For Thanksgiving, they prepare tons of the most requested pies and you can just walk in and buy them freshly made. They’re good too.
If you want a catering order, especially for a holiday, order in advance and it will be ready. Their spiral hams are delicious.

I have grown up with Valley in our house for years (at least 25 years now) and I have always loved their food. Recently, the last two times I’ve been at Valley I’ve noticed their food to be much saltier then I ever remember. Because we love Valley we looked past the extra EXTRA added salt we tasted and enjoyed our meals until today. We went in for some chicken and sides (as always) and there was so much salt on the food that you can feel the grains of salt on the chicken. It was inedible to even try and eat because every time we tried our mouth would feel like we were drinking from the ocean. Anyhoo, the sad part is I can longer eat here because of the extreme use of salt :(

Decent rotisserie chicken and sides when you don’t feel like cooking. They’ll cut the whole chicken into pieces for you so you don’t have to bother. I love their soups. Their Manhattan Clam chowder and Chicken Noodle soups are excellent.

This was Valley Poultry way back in 1976, but since they expanded and became Valley Caterers, there is not so much dependence on chicken. As a matter of fact, their brisket is some of the best on Long Island, far superior to delis and on a par with Pastrami King, although far less expensive!

Today i ordered sandwiches and I’m a bit aggravated because the person I spoke to was so rude. I decided to call in my order while heading there and the guy I spoke to was annoyed. I don’t know if calling in an order is not something that anyone is supposed to do there and if that is the case then fine, just tell me. First he sighed when I asked him if I could call in the order then he said, «We’re really busy here so I can’t guarantee you I can get it ready» so I said, «Well how busy are you? I’m on my way I will just get in line when I get there» and he said rudely «Just tell me what you want.» After I gave my order he hung up on me. I wasn’t trying to annoy anyone or make this guys life difficult. I’m pregnant and hungry and just really wanted a sandwich :(

I love this place for the great sandwiches they have and the fresh meats and so on but the best part about all they serve here is the huge amounts of pies. They have a huge section of individual slices of pies in containers and trust me, they are awesome! Every kind from Mousse to Key Lime. It’s a must when you get here for sure. The sandwich menu is on the board behind the deli counter on the wall. They also sell a variety of precooked meals like types of Pastas, Chicken, Ribs and so on. There’s a parking lot so you don’t have to park on the busy streets around this place.

I have been coming here for as long as I can remember. As a kid, my favorite thing to eat here were the pizza rolls and they are still delicious now to eat as an adult. The rotisserie chicken is also quite good. They have a great assortment of breads too — definitely try the pumpernickel. I shop here regularly for the pre-​made salads for my daughter to bring for lunch. We also love the buffalo chicken bites and fried zucchini sticks. I do not think that you can go wrong here. On the last holiday, we ordered a fried turkey with sides (creamed spinach and mashed potatoes) and all of our guests left happy with full bellies. I would definitely suggest this place for an everyday meal or your next catered event.

The only thing that I have ever had here is the pizza roll. I actually consider that the highest form of compliment, though. If I eat at a place and the food is bad, I don’t go back. If my meal is good, I go back and try other things. If what I ate was amazing, I don’t see any reason to fix what’s not broken.
The pizza rolls aren’t exactly what you’d expect if you’re used to the store bought kind. The filling is similar, but what sets these pizza rolls apart is that they are in a perfectly cooked egg roll shell.
They’re definitely worth the trip. I just bought a dozen today.
