History

Established in 2006.

Big Bear Log Cabins was started by my wife and I shortly after we were first married. We met in California and had good memories of skiing and camping in Big Bear, CA. When we moved to North Carolina we had an opportunity to buy a house and several acres of land close to where we resided in Franklin. We decided to remodel the house (now Fox Den) and put in several small log cabins and rent them for the folks looking to vacation in our area. We named the venture Big Bear after the fond memories we had in California. The setting was perfect as it was close to town but on the backside of a mountain that provides the scenery and tranquility needed for getaway cabins.
