Cathy Marks – State Farm Insurance Agent

I’ve been with State Farm since the mid 1980’s and have no complaints. I recently relocated to Franklin and worked with Denise at this agency. I highly recommend her for professional and courtesy customer service!

Cathy seemed nice knowledgeable and professional however my irritation was with the underwriters practices of cancelation being canceled because of someone not having there license that lives in your home ! Really stinks !

Insurance. It’s always such an exciting topic for people. After having been with Geico for 5 years, I changed insurance providers when I bought my first home and wanted to have both my auto and home coverage through one provider. I was reluctant at first, but because Geico doesn’t directly provide home insurance I decided to do my due diligence and see what kind of coverage I could get and for what cost.
After looking around at a few different providers, I came across Cathy Marks at State Farm. Here are a couple of things that immediately stood out, and why I felt it was worth writing a review about them:
1) Cathy Marks and her staff took the time to get to know me, and my needs. That stands out when you’re someone who is used to just filling out an online form. I’m someone who often prefers using an online form, but when it comes to making sure you are getting the right kind of coverage, knowing your options, and knowing you’re getting the best coverage for the right price — that’s key. Not only was her staff very prompt in their responses, but they were always very friendly while also remaining professional.
2) Not everything has to be a claim. That was my biggest struggle with Geico. I was happy with Geico — I certainly don’t want to appear displeased. But at the same time, any time I wanted to get advice on an issue, talk about my options, everything wound up being a claim. With Cathy Marks at State Farm, whenever I’ve had a concern — or even needed repairs and had to potentially file a claim for it — I was able to thoroughly discuss my options with them, get their opinions, and even referred to some contractors, without ever having filed a claim for it. On top of that, they remained in communication with me throughout my issues, and followed up with me.
As someone who always turns to the internet whenever I need information, it’s sometimes a struggle when you need to sort between an opinion of someone online, with an actual insurance agent’s statements, and when you’re dealing with the stress of a collision, or a roof leak, you want to know that your best interests are being kept in mind, and with Cathy Marks and State Farm, I’ve so far felt that way.
