History

Established in 1889.

Dean Co-​operative Bank was chartered as a Massachusetts cooperative bank on June 15, 1889 by a group of 51 local citizens who saw a need for a new bank in Franklin. Ten of these citizens were elected as directors of the new mutual bank and, because there were no investors or stockholders, they were charged with making business decisions based solely on the needs of their constituents — the depositors. Today 125 years later, Dean Bank remains a mutual cooperative bank… with no shareholders or stock. We have assets of over $ 250 million and our focus remains on our customers.

Manager

Kevin Goffe is the new President And CEO of Dean Bank. Kevin has spent the last 23 years of his career at the bank, most recently serving as CFO. Kevin brings tremendous experience and expertise to the role of bank President and has already implemented many innovative projects such as the branch new Bellingham branch renovations and new web site. Kevin promises more enhancements to continue to move the bank forward as technology changes the way we all bank.
