At the Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Franklin, we will create a friendly, no pressure environment in which our students can learn great dancing from world class instructors. Our most important priorities are that our students have fun while they improve their dance skills.

Fred Astaire took great pride in a standard of excellence which is still alive and well in our studio. Our instructors have completed a rigorous training program and are Certified teachers. We train and promote our students through the trophy system and have beginners, social dancers, competitors, and advance level dancers. Our unique qualifications both in American and International Styles allow any student to progress from a beginner to any goal they set for themselves in a very short time frame.

Our wedding professionals choreographed thousands of unique wedding dances.

Meet the Business Owner

Olaf P.

Business Owner

I am originally from Germany where I was very successful in both the Latin and Standard styles of dance. I competed in the highest levels in Germany as well as teaching, coaching and judging. I had the honor of helping to choreograph Dirty Dancing and has recently been coaching Sara Connor, one of Germany’s biggest pop stars. I am consistently one of the top teachers in the region and one of the busiest. My patience and vast knowledge of all kinds of dancing, including Argentine Tango, make me one of the most sought after instructors in the area.

I am currently competing in the Professional American Smooth category with my partner Mona.

2012 Open American Smooth Champion and World Finalist.
