10 stars! great popcicles made on the premises. Their assortment of flavored waters is outstanding and delicious. My favorite is the coconut water. The ice creams are creamy, delicious, and hand made. If you’re wanting to try something adventurous, I highly suggest the Piña Loco. A combination of pineapple mango juice and chamoy(a salty, spicy paste that os out of this world)

First time visiting Nashville. My wife found out about this place through a blogger’s website. Definitely did not disappoint. They have dozens of popsicle and ice cream flavors, all of which are homemade. I had the mango popsicle and my wife had the strawberry cheesecake popsicle, both were really good. This is definitely a must stop if anyone is visiting Nashville. We will definitely visit again if come back to Nashville.

Brightly dark colors. Colorful signs. On a Sunday night it packed to the gills with families enjoying delicious ice cream bars. I myself enjoyed the creamiest sliced strawberries and cream bar. Heavenly. The fresh strawberries being both sweet and tart against the creamy ice cream. The also serve a dish with a large deep fried chicharones covered with shredded lettuce, hot sauce, cream, tomatoes, onions, pickled chicharone sliced or cucumber, homemade chili sauce, and I asked for corn. It is a texture hodge podge of insanity in your mouth. Your taste buds get an explosion of texture and flavor madness that just seems to work. The employees are eager to provide a great experience and get you the fastest assistence they can while ensuring they smile and make you feel welcome!

I would give this place more stars if it were possible! I had the cappuccino ice cream; I was in love at first bite! My husband had the Oreo ice cream and in his words«it’s perfect»! I also got the cucumber lime water, I’m actually surprised at HOW good it is! Just left, and can’t wait to come back!

Really nice friendly staff. Great homemade ice cream and Popsicles. But they have even more. I see people getting these gigantic entire pineapple fru fru drinks all the time with tons of stuff sticking out. We’ve been there numerous times, as it is in walking distance for us, have never had anything bad. I recommend the raspberry or blackberry palletas and the mint chocolate chip.

New season a Tocumbo. They closed for a while during the winter which made me very sad. Very very sad indeed. But alas, they are open again and all is right in Franklin. Everything is amazing, but today’s homeade Key Lime Pie ice cream was yumsville. I think they just threw a couple of pies in the mix! I mentioned before they are better than any ice cream in Franklin, including Kilwens. And I can feed my whole familty double scoops for the price of one(ok maybe one and a half) at Kilwen’s. Super friendly staff. What mare is there to say. You owe it to Franklin and your self to go there.

Amazing little joint with amazing treats and friendly staff! You’ve got to try it! You feel like your on vacation in Mexico when you walk in. They have unique and interesting Mexican drinks and others dessert options, like homemade ice cream. We’ve been three times in the last two weeks.

If you are Mexican, or have lived in Mexico, or have dated a Mexican, or love Mexican food, or have dreamed of ever being Mexican, you must go here to have a Chamoyada! Not to be confused with en-chi-la-da, please! A chamoyada is usually made with mangos, but can be made with peaches, or just about any other fruit… it’s a dessert. I’ve never made one before, but I’ve certainly eaten my share of them in my lifetime. Let me describe how it’s done. First, the ice cream parlourista pours chamoy(spicy sauce) on the cup, then spicy chili powder, adds mango gelato, mango purée, lemon, fresh sweet mango spears, spicy sauce… and then I don’t know what else… but whatever it is, it’s GOOD… ADDICTING! If you close your eyes and drink this… your taste buds might make you think you have traveled to a city in Mexico(FYI this dessert contains no hallucinogenics)…a spoonful of this famous chamoyada may make you feel just like Samantha from«Bewitched,» and POOF! …you’re walking down an old narrow lopsided cobble street passing mercados and street stands, a couple chickens and a scattered crowd. YESITISTHATGOOD! If you have never had one before, and you are a daredevil, adventurous, and opened to new discoveries, I highly recommend it to you! You will not be disappointed! This place also has Popsicles of all flavors, all 100% natural! Strawberry, kiwi, guava, watermelon,…etc…even sweet corn! The location is hidden on the side of a small shopping mall, next to a tobacco store, which catty-corners to a Mexican restaurant! Ha! Great thinking people! Prices start at $ 2.25. I heard they are opened late on Saturday nights. They have several tables and chairs inside and a couple outside benches. Go get your Mexican on… I doubledogdare you to go try a mango chamoyada! :)

We went to Paletas Pocumbo for the first time last night. I got a pineapple paleta, sort of a pineapple popsicle. It was excellent. Imagine fresh pineapple pureed then frozen; that was the flavor. It was frozen hard, but as it melted, it became a creamy ice, if that makes any sense. Not ice cube hard, but not ice cream creamy either. Location, location, location. I’m sure rent in central downtown historic Franklin is through the roof, but Paletas would do a bang up business if they relocated to an area with more foot traffic. Currently, they are located off the beaten path around the corner from the health dept and circuit court. All in all, Paletas Tocumbo is absolutely worth driving a mile or so out of the way!

Just discovered that this place existed tonight. Conveniently located a few blocks from Big Shake’s Hot Chicken, we were quite relieved to get a nice cold creamy paletas on our scorched lips after dinner! This place has a bigger selection of flavors than Las Paletas in 12th South(which is also amazing), and they make their paletas on site there. They also serve fruit water and homemade ice cream. The fruit water seemed rather interesting and I’ll have to try some of those at a later date. I had the strawberry cheesecake paletas and my husband had strawberry cream, which were both delicious. Located a little over a mile from downtown Franklin off West Main, it can be overlooked if you don’t know it’s there. But it’s definitely worth stopping by for a great homemade cool treat in the summer!

Delicious paletas, ice cream, and fruit water. I had the Oreo paletas which was the best I’ve ever had. My wife had a pineapple/strawberry that she said was wonderful as well. All handmade on site. Check them out.
