The location is super easy to access from both Hwy 36 and Hwy 100 via Church St, which connects the two. There is also an entry point right from Hwy 100 that is controlled by a traffic light so it’s accessible to both the north and south traffic. The lot is huge, well lit, and is shared with Target. Several out-lots are populated by little shops that all have their own parking lots. This Pick n’Save, much like every other one, suffers from a lack of logical organization. Basil, for example, is neither by the potted herbs or on the other side of produce by the packaged herbs. It’s currently in the middle of the tomatoes. Sometimes I can’t even find it there. Cheese, as another example, can be found in no less that four locations throughout the store. Why isn’t there just ONE cheese section? Who knows! And it isn’t just the Franklin location. I have these issues at every one I have been to. The employees here are helpful if you can find one, but I usually end up at the service counter asking to have one paged. I’m not certain where they disappear to. I see a lot of items misplaced on shelves– and this I blame on the lazy customers. However, it wouldn’t hurt to have employees look at things once an hour at the very least. Put items back, remove gross picked-over produce, put carts back in the corral. Another thing lacking in this location is cashiers. I have seen long lines plenty of times with only two registers open. Seriously, on a weekend, get more than two lanes going. I know there are self-check lanes but I get scolded when I go through with a cart full(even if I am fast). With the recent threats of new market chains, and Target and WalMart carrying groceries, Pick n’Save should start taking a long hard look at their shortfalls. I’m at the point where I’ll drive 30 minutes away just to go to a more organized market. But as much as I shop here, and I’m afraid to admit that number, I don’t think I can afford to make those longer trips… for now.
