Description

Specialties

Nestled at the base of the Fraser Tubing Hills, Sasquatch’s Hideaway is a great destination for both Winter and Summer vacationing. Whether you plan to ski and snowboard in the winter, or mountain bike, go fly fishing, and attend some outdoor concerts in the summer, your stay here is sure to be comfortable.

This is a corner unit, bottom floor, backing up to open space and the railroad. From the back porch, you have an unobstructed view of the Continental Divide to the South, Fraser Tubing Hills and Winter Park Resort immediately West, and Byers Peak to the North.

The Living Room is equipped with a full sized sofa bed which can sleep an additional two guests, as well as a heated massage chair (also great for snoozing in) and a Blaze King wood stove that keeps the entire condo toasty warm during those cold winter months. The double patio doors and large windows allow for plenty of warm natural light.

The number of things within walking distance are almost too great to list: Grocery and Liquor Stores, Starbucks, Restaurants, Bars, a Winery, Post Office, The Lift bus stop (free shuttle to Winter Park), Amtrak station, and of course, winter tubing.

With so much to see and do in the Grand Valley, at all times of the year, Sasquatch’s Hideaway is the best place to come back to relax after a day of fun.

History

Established in 2012.

I spent most of 2012 looking for the perfect condo in Fraser, Colorado. On weekends I would head over Berthoud Pass and tour various places. But I always came back to this one. I must have visited it four times before I finally pulled the trigger in December and made it my own. I really think it was mostly for the view from the back porch. But also because it’s just so cozy all year round. Then I made it my own. I spent weekends in 2013 gutting the place, taking it down to the floorboards and building the perfect kitchen and bathroom, adding new carpet and paint, and updating it with nice comfortable furniture. We truly hope that you’ll enjoy staying here as much as we do.

Meet the Business Owner

Garry C.

Business Owner

I grew up in Philadelphia in the 70s and 80s, before moving to the Pocono Mountains in my teenage years. This is where I fell in love with Winter Sports. In the early 90s, I moved to Pittsburgh, PA and spent some time working as a snowboard instructor at Seven Springs resort. After a while, I decided that just wasn’t far enough west, and I needed to find some bigger mountains. In the mid 90s I came to Denver, as well as the realization that there aren’t many places better to live than Colorado. I’ve worked hard over the past two decades in order to be able to find the perfect vacation spot for me and my family. Hopefully, you will enjoy staying here as much as we do.
