Trekked to downtown Frederick today to enjoy the weather and check out«citizen Frederick.» Judging from the other reviews I figured this would be a great little find. And that it was. The store is small But it’s filled with good quality clothing, shoes and grooming items. What really stood out today was the owner — Antonio. Here’s someone who is clearly passionate about what he does. His knowledge of different fabrics was impressive. He was also honest and highly attentive. Plus I overheard him say that he gives to the wounded warriors foundation which is a real bonus in my book. The barber shop up stairs is quite a nice feature as there’s nothing better than buying clothes and getting groomed at the same time. Now all Antonio needs is some bourbon and scotch and we have a destination hotspot!!! As other reviewers have stated the prices are completely reasonable for what your getting. My only gripe is that I wish there was a wider selection of clothing items. Maybe another rack or two upstairs would do the trick. If there were more items to choose from I would have bought a lot more!!! But it seems like inventory does turnover so I’ll eagerly anticipate my next visit.

I was passing through Frederick to visit relatives, on my way to a wedding in Paris. I needed some natty shoes and was worried that I wouldn’t be able to find a pair in the area. Though Citizen Frederick does have some fantastic hand made full leather sole shoes(that I would love to pick up), they weren’t quite right for the occasion. The trip wasn’t a loss however, what I did discover was an awesome urban/hip store of well curated clothing that is top quality and«correctly» priced. In other words this store is legit. Being a Frederick native, now living in San Francisco, and having lived in Manhattan, I was so proud to see a store like this in my home town. It’s obvious that Antionio(who I think is the owner) cares about doing things right. I wish him and Citizen Frederick all the best. Way to go Frederick!

Nice clean store with an artful presentation. We always come here for my husband’s casual clothes. We love the selection of Grayers shirts. They are one of his favorite brands. Outstanding quality at a reasonable price. I have also picked up gifts from here on several occasions and they are always a hit. The owners and staff are friendly, and take time to help you in the shop.

I turned up to shop Citizen Frederick during summer 2014 after I came across their Instagram account. Pleased to discover a more than pleasant experience atop products made in the U.S. and some men’s brands that’re limited in distribution, I’ve since returned to find the same great occurrence. I enjoy the opportunity to chat with the owner/team and I appreciate Citizen Frederick for the respectful, friendly manner in which they treat me. This is a cool store and I’m really glad to see it do well — thank you!

It is so great to have a men’s clothing and accessory shop in downtown Frederick. Long over due. These guys have a great sense of style and brought terrific products together. They are so easy going and welcoming to everyone who comes in the store. They will help with styling and sizing or leave you alone if you prefer. The products are all top quality and made in the USA. Shop local and support American products. Stop in and give it a look!

Awesome, awesome, awesome… The first thing I noticed was the beautiful front window display. Second, as I got closer to the door, was the incredible smell of genuine leather. This is not the place where you find cheap items to last you a year or two. This is where you find things that last a lifetime. I was on vacation and on a tight budget so I wasn’t able to get all the stuff I wanted but I was certainly happy to support this business with the purchase of a few small items. I highly recommend you check this place out if you have the opportunity.

Stopped by Citizen Frederick on my first visit to Frederick, while heading to the Antique store, it caught my eye and what a little gem! Firstly, the owner greeted my boyfriend and I just as we walked in with a handshake and an introduction(seriously?! so nice!). I was so stoked by that alone, I was already going to write a Unilocal review. Needless to say, the staff is excellent and the selection is definitely well curated. I was also impressed by the low price point of the raw denim, really good for dudes! My boyfriend ended up getting some local aftershave and soap, which smells delightful. Also really cool that they have a ton of local goods from philadelphia and all over Maryland! Really great spot, super friendly staff, overall a definite pit stop on a day in Frederick! If nothing else, you can at least scoop up some Richer Poorer socks!

Love love love this little gem! Awesome, unique, and carefully selected casual menswear! My husband absolutely loves their T-shirts as well as their shaving supplies. Three words that come to mind are — hip, rugged, sophistication. A great addition to downtown Frederick!

Nice store with great selection of men’s clothes. The owners were friendly without being ‘salesy’ and they knew about the products in their store, which tells me they probably put some thought into what is being sold there. I’d go back again

Tiny but perfectly curated selection of fine mens goods. In particular, check out the beautiful wool and leather backpacks/satchels. The staff are super friendly. It’s aimed towards younger bicycle-loving mustachioed hipster types, but any dude will appreciate it.. .. it’s like Kaufmann Mercantile in a store!
