Drove 45 minutes to get to the store. Went in today because my charger cord stopped charging due to a weak spot in the wire not making a consistent connection (it bends oddly right where it attaches to the charger plug). The iPhone and charger are less than a year old and under warranty. The person who «helped» us at the store looked at the cord for a couple seconds, saw the bend in it and said «how do I know you didn’t try to break this intentionally.» He said to take it to an Apple Store (which is over 60 miles away from my house) because they would be more likely to «bend their rules» and not consider the cord damaged. The cord was not damaged, it’s defective! You guys suck.

I am extremely happy with the service I received from Mac Business Solutions. I had an older mac that was not performing well. The tech made recommendations for a hard drive and RAM upgrade. We discussed the hard drive size and RAM upgrade and agreed on the price. When we went to pick up the computer the cashier explained they were out of the size hard drive we agreed upon and they put in a larger drive AT NO ADDITIONAL COST!!! I now have a computer that is running beautifully and the comfort of knowing that if I ever have an additional issues I have a business I can trust to help get me back up and running.

I spilled coke on my computer and they fixed it so it was better than when I brought it in. Only cost $ 150 for the repair!!! They were amazing!

These folks have helped me a few times with my Mac. They are quick, efficient, friendly and affordable. This morning they talked me through ridding Safari of a phishing scam — and they did it free. Would have been easy to tell me to bring the computer in and charged me something. Love supporting a local business and these guys make it super easy.

I’ve used MBS several times — sometimes for catastrophes and (on the rare occasion) for something fun like a new purchase. These folks «get» customer service. They do all the «little things» that aren’t really little — they do the things that matter and they do them well. Their staff are experts and are willing to share their knowledge. The entire store is efficient, friendly, and top-​notch. A great experience, I am grateful they got me up and running quickly and with as little pain as possible.

My computer crashed last Thursday and Apple recommended Mac Business Solutions to fix it. I called and they told me on Friday my computer would be ready by «early next week» which was confirmed when I dropped it off. I called this morning to ask about the status and if they could save my files and was placed on hold for 10 minutes. When I finally got through, I was forgotten about and placed on hold another 5 minutes. I hung up and called back and was told they hadn’t gotten to my computer yet but they should by this afternoon. I called this afternoon was told they still hadn’t gotten to and that they were working on 65 other computers. When I asked what number I was, I was told we’ll get to you tonight or tomorrow. So I told them I’d pick my computer up. When I got there, the tech was very disrespectful, stating I better hope Apple will back my files up (they will) and I need to be more patient (um, you lied). I will never go back.
Update: I took my computer to Apple and it was fixed in 1 hour. The hard drive is broken and will require data recovery, which is in my possession. Even Apple couldn’t get the data off. So threatening backing up my files? It didn’t matter. Seriously, go straight to Apple. They are cheaper, faster, and more knowledgable.

Thought I had to drive to DC/​MD/​NVA for service on our Apple products. Pleasantly surprised to find this little store in downtown Frederick! Superb service! Thanks so much David!

Bought an iPad brand new from amazon. From the minute I opened it up, it did this strange reboot. Constantly. SO ANNOYING. Some kind of hardware problem. Kept a case and screen protector on it and it still got a scuff on the aluminum. Still under warranty (and under 2 months old) I mailed it into Apple, who basically said I was SOL because of the scuff, which by the way was so small I hadn’t even noticed it had happened. I was quoted $ 300 by Apple to fix it.
Looked around online for an apple store near me, thinking I might have more luck in person. During this search, I heard out MBS.
Figured I would give them a try before giving up and just dealing with this annoying issue, after reading many great reviews.
I walked in and was greeted by Steve.
I told him what was going on, and within a week, he ordered me a brand new iPad and shipped it to my house. No hassle. I paid nothing.
Thank you, MBS. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. They are incredibly helpful and a breeze to do business with.

Best customer service ever! Got a used iPad from a family member. Could not figure out how to reconfigure it. Called shop. Dave said come on down, we can take care of this in 20 mins. Sure to his word I was out the door in 20 with an iPad doing what it was meant to do.

These guys are great! My macbook crashed so I took it there to see what the problem was and after after a thorough look at it, they had it a few hours, they told me it was past fixing. They said they could do further diagnostics but explained that it would start to get costly and be more than the computer was worth and it was possible it couldn’t even be fixed because it was so old they couldn’t get replacement parts. We had already discussed that I was trying to salvage this because I could not get a new one at this time, so it was not a ploy to get me to buy one. They were honest with me felt bad they couldn’t fix it. They also gave me a referral to a reputable place to buy a used one. And even thought they took quite a bit of time looking it over, taking it apart and doing testing on it, they only charged me the $ 40 diagnostic fee, no hourly rate. Very good place and great customer service.

I’ve ordered a couple computers and iPads from this location… and had a few computers repaired. On at least one occasion, they didn’t charge me for repairs. Also their repair fees were always lower than I thought.
I can email the techs and they will respond to my needs like real people, not some big organization. So I’m a fan and will stay with these guys. Super service!

Usually when you’re headed to MBS, it’s not for a happy reason. Your harddrive is crashing or something else equally alarming. I can’t imagine how many panicked and angry people walk in their doors.
These guys do amazing work and keep you in the loop. I love being able to take my Apple products somewhere local. They explain everything to you, and nothing is a mystery.

After many months struggling with a slow machine, I decided to give the guys at MBS a call to see what they could do to help me. They were courteous, professional, and clearly qualified, as they offered me a number of options from diagnosis through triage.
I engaged them for a $ 40 diagnosis and could not be happier. They identified things that I never would have thought of — and in turn, my machine is back to the level of performance when I walked out of the Mac Store several years ago. They earned my trust, for sure, and will be back when I need to buy my next machine — as I know that they will shoot straight, know the business, and act as a good partner.

My wife and I were looking to upgrade her Mac and tried to make appointments at both Bethesda Apple Stores… only to find out that we might get seen at the Genius bar the NEXT day.
On a whim we called Mac Business Solutions 2 blocks from our house in DT Frederick and were able to go in and get our selves educated on our options and make a purchase in a relaxed atmosphere.
David, our sales associate, made complete sense as he explained our options and helped us ID the best machine for our use.
They also seamlessly transferred all of our data from the old to new machine, and cleaned the old machine for reuse as p[art of the service and purchase. Truly a great experience
Other reviews have talked about how trustworthy these guys are. I’d agree and they also have great product knowledge. They are what the Apple Store used to be!

Nobody «looks forward» to visits like this; but when they must be made, this place is absolutely a place to be trusted. I had a warranty issue with my iPhone, they had one in stock to replace it, they took great care to make sure I walked out happy, and they all seemed knowledgable about the processes required by Apple and how to conduct business. While I was sitting there waiting for the restoration of data on my new iPhone, I had a chance to see them interact over the phone and with other in house customers, and was pleasantly satisfied that they were all knowledgable in what they were saying and doing and if they had questions, they worked great as a team in discussing the issue and coming to a collective decision on the best way to move forward FOR THE CUSTOMER. If I ever have a need, or other issues with any of my Apple devices (and I have more than a few of them), I would not hesitate at all to return to this store. Highly recommend to everybody.
