This place is really quaint and off the beaten path, away from the crowds next to a bed and breakfast. It’s run by a really nice little old lady that keeps it real. You feel like you’ve walked into her living room. It has an awesome front porch where you can relax in the shade and watch the scenery. You can tell that she probably got up at 3am and baked everything herself.

Fredericksburg wouldn’t be the same without a visit to Ms Binky’s Austin St Java Haus. Great TX Pecan coffee(refills are free) and fantastic homemade scones, muffins, and streusel. We make sure to include enough time to sit down and visit. Ms Binky is a sweet lady with some fun stories. It’s just like being home! And don’t forget to say hi to MIKE for good luck! See you again next year!

It is a cute coffee shop, with cats hanging out, nice outside seating. but unfortunately the coffee is very bad. worst cappuccino I ever had, weak espresso and badly foamed milk. Not much selection for pastries either. It’s a shame because it looks so nice.

We picked this little coffee shop because of the reviews, and also we weren’t looking to have a big breakfast. We’re stumped by the glowing reviews from previous customers. We weren’t greeted. At all. The woman behind the counter appeared completely put off that we were even there. There’s a sign on the wall that states they have burritos, muffins and scones. So my husband asked about the burrito. He got a rude response back of «what you see out if what you get.» They had a case of pretty big muffins, a Danish, some scones and biscotti. The woman suffered through telling us what each muffin was. My coffee was pretty good. Hubby got an iced coffee and said it was awful. Then you go to doctor up your coffee yourself. No biggie! Looking around for containers of milk, ½ and ½, etc.Nothing. Just little plastic containers of single serve coffee creamer. On to our muffins. Not sure if they were frozen and then thawed out? Or just old? They were cold and dense. They were ok I guess, but nothing special. While we were there people(locals) kept streaming in to sit around a table. So we were sitting in a tiny café just the 3 of us, with a huge table of people carrying on conversation. They were clearly getting ready to have a meeting. It was awkward. Maybe that explains why the owner wasn’t thrilled about us being there? Pretty much the only thing awesome about this place is Mikey the cat. We are a pretty laid back family that is easy to please. If I’ve taken the time to write a negative review, you know it was bad.

Cute, quaint little coffee shop with amazing pastries. The cheese danish is the best we have ever had and their coffee was outstanding. Definitely will be back!

We were greeted by an elderly woman and her two teen/preteen granddaughters. All were very pleasant, and it was nice watching the older girl teach the younger one to use the register. I got a blueberry muffin and a hot chocolate with a pump of hazelnut(which is usually my go-to drink at starbucks). I can honestly say that this hot chocolate was better than anything I’ve had at starbucks. It was much more flavorful. The blueberry muffin was okay — you could taste the baking powder, which is not a great flavor for me. The atmosphere was great. We sat outside on the porch and enjoyed the morning. Unfortunately, the cat didn’t have anything to do with us.

Delicious coffee and wonderful service. Most of the town was closed early Sunday morning but they were open. Could easily spend a few hours there.

Great coffee, she gets it from mobile, Alabama. The latte was really weak, so I’d stick to coffee if I were you. I got the blueberry muffin and my friend got a bean muffin. The bran muffin was still warm and pretty good, the blueberry muffin was a bit dense and not as fresh. I think I would ask which muffin is the freshest before I ordered next time. It is dog friendly and has a cute front porch and this mean fat cat named Mikey who stalked my dog. She left her alone after awhile but definitely asserted her dominance

After an day camping at Enchanted Rock, I was looking for a local spot to grab a nice cup of coffee. This places a nice, cozy café, which is part of a bed and breakfast. The owner, I believe her name is Binky, was very polite, and invited me to stay outside on her porch as long as I would like. I ended up befriending a curious and social cat named«Mikey», who laid in my lap while I enjoyed a Tom Clancy novel. If I were coming back to Fredericksburg, I would definitely revisit!

Please note the one star review above; it is about one time here. A bad experience one time. I have been here a few dozen over the years, and never a bad experience. And I like my coffee! And did she say anything to the staff? Note the bad drink or muffin? No. Textbook Passive /Aggressive. If you are not willing to point out a mistake to the staff, please don’t hide behind a review. Always easier to type then talk. Embarrassing. Not only do they have a nice coffee shop, but they have a couple bed and breakfast units. If you are looking for a nice, relaxing stay, this is the place. I’ve stayed at All Seasons, Main Street properties, and the Angel Inn, but none of them come close to Binky’s Inn. Only a block from Main Street, I cannot recommend properties more highly. Obviously, everyone has their own requirements, but give this place a hard look. The house I am staying in is perfect for my needs. And the coffee shop serves excellent products. Everyone is friendly and courteous. Hard to go wrong.

Had a great cup of coffee in here this morning and got to chat with the owner. Really nice, family run place. Also nice that it’s off main street and a little easier to get in and out of. Check it out!

This place is very quaint and run by a sweet lady named Binky. She made us 2 delicious lattes(vanilla and mocha, both large!) and her adorable grand daughter who’s like 12 years old rang us up. Just a good olé family run coffee shop that’s been around forever. Don’t miss out on a great cup of joe!
