Our favorite place in the area. Great food, great service and great beer selection. We have never had a bad meal here and if my wife would let me I would spend more time here.

If you didn’t know better you would drive right by this place. Because of the previous reviews on Unilocal we decided to give it a try. That, of course, was our first clue that it would be great. The place looks like a typical roadside diner, this one has a full service bar. And unlike many diners, this place is immaculate. Our second clue that he food would be great was when the server brought our food to the table she laid down extra napkins and said, «You’ll need these.» Boy, or she right! My wife had the BLT and it was wonderful. I had the blue cheese Burger with bacon and added the tomato and lettuce. It was over-​the-​top! Be sure not to drive by this secret treasure.

I went to Docs last week for the first time and had their fish fry dinner. I chose the broccoli slaw as my side, and it came with homemade fries and about 4 – 5 pieces of good size fried fish. The fish was hot, crispy, and delicious. I definitely think I got my moneys worth at this place. The wait time was about 15 – 20 minutes for food which I think is reasonable. Staff is very friendly and personable. I definitely would recommend this place to everyone. Their beer selection is great as well and the menu is very extensive. I can’t wait to go back to try more stuff!

My family came to town for a wedding and we went here for dinner one night. It’s small but quaint! The philly cheese is probably the best I’ve ever had and I’ve had a ton! Great service, great beer, and I even brought my 5 month old son and the staff and locals where great!!!

Quality food at a great price. We both had perch plus an amazing mushroom appetizer and ice tea for just over $ 30. Excellent service to top it off. Thumbs up. We’ll be back.

Got a little worried, no cars in the lot but trusted the earlier reviews. Special was French Dip with home made fries. My wife had that and I had to go with the Philly nachos. Glad I only got ½ order. Both were great

Great asparagus soup and good blue cheese dressing for salad and pop corn on salad nice touch. Good Reuben sandwich and fish dinner. Generous wine serving and good choice of beers.

We had lunch/​dinner around 4:00 PM on a Saturday afternoon, there were a couple of local types at the bar but the rest of the place was empty. The waitress was excellent, giving us time to look at the menu.
They have a little bit of everything, sandwiches, salads, mexican and seafood. Everything we ordered was excellent! There were five in our party and we ordered quite an eclectic mix! The shrimp dinner was excellent, the Backwood’s BLT is absolutely worth going back for again (oh so much bacon), the philly cheese steak just as you’d expect, the chef salad was large enough to feed two people and last but definitely not least was the day’s special. It was a grilled cheese sandwich, but such a grilled cheese I’ve never had before. They had your choice of two cheeses (I chose cheddar and swiss) along with their garlic herb cheese spread layered with fresh, grilled asparagus and tomato! I mean seriously, the thought of this grilled cheese sandwich is making my mouth water just thinking about it!
We will definitely go back!

Never have had a bad meal. Great food, from fish dinners, burgers, salads to nachos. Prices are real reasonable & servers have always been pleasant. Great choices of micro brews!
